I recently received my new phone and went to google play store and redownloaded the apps I had purchased. However, these apps do not show up on my phone. When you go into settings > applications the app is there but I cannot find it on any of my screens.

have you checked your app drawer? If they are still missing then:
1. Reboot your phone. If still missing in app drawer then
2.
-Boot to recovery ( off your phone, hold volume up + home + power button, release the buttons as soon as your phone lights up)
-Wipe cache
-reboot phone
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
wiped cache
I have tried that twice with no luck. the apps show up in the app drawer?

Can you give more info? Are you rooted even? You can refer to the thread in my sig for the info you need to give to get proper answers

If I go to google playstore on my pc it is showing me with 3 galaxy S2 phones and a transformer prime tablet. If I choose the first of the 3 phones and download my app and it works for everything except paid version of titanium backup. Thanks for help!!!!!

Hi,
I'm new to the Samsung world, X-Iphoner an i got a i9100 S2 as a replacement.
I am really having hard times buying paid apps in the market, as usual, my country is not supported by android market, had to install a custom rom, rooted & super used both found apps in Market (Market Enablers) ... I choose US as the country, open Market, accept the new terms, but..
Whenever I click on Buy app, I get an error the item does not exist.
I tried to downgrade market, I get past this error but to another one, after choosing my credit card, I instantly get an Authorization error...There is nothing wrong with my google account nor my credit card,
I still believe it is related to the method of Market Enabler....
I am using custom ROM Wanam on 2.3.5
Are there any successful methods for passing this?

Just a suggestion:
Have you already tried to clear app data?
In Settings menu => Applications => Manage applications => All => Market (or whatever) => Clear data.
If that does not help, try to wipe cache partition (and Dalvik cache) in recovery mode (Volume UP + Home + Power).
Then reboot the phone.
You may have to un-install and re-install the Market app again.
If that all does not help, you may have to do a factory reset.
Good luck !

I don't think it has anything to do with the resetting the device, as i already did that (with wipe) dozen times...same error..
i've got the same issue.
I posted here, but no reply yet...

fixed it by updating to market 3.3.12 from 3.3.11

Use the right market enabler after clearing cache for the market app in settings-->applications. There are two on the market, one was updated the last century, the other at the end of November.

No. Just clear cache. I had the same problem yesterday after the update. Cleaned cache, was patient, now it works fine.
Settings > Applications > Manage apps > Play Store > Clear Cache. Possibly reboot too.
thx
Recently my Samsung Galaxy Mini went into a boot loop. To solve this, I had to factory reset the phone, deleting all my apps. When I log onto google play, and navigate to my previous apps, it says they are still installed, and won't let me reinstall them. Is there any way round this?
Thanks
how about the backup?did you always backup app?
if not,i think you can redownload using another website like appbrain...after that you can automatic update from google play..this is just my thought
Also you can enter to Play Store from your PC, and install all the apps that you need (clicking on the Install button, the app will be installed in your phone).
my android apps
go to Google play and my android apps on right hand side or hit this link https://play.google.com/apps
it will show you all the apps that u have installed on your phone, now click on app one by one and click on install button through web, in this way you can install the apps that u have loose
please press thank you button if u like this.
The thing is, when I go to "my apps", it says I already have them installed, when I don't. The install button is greyed out.

I had the same problem. The solution is simple however. I'm using Cyanogenmod for my rom. It turns out you have to download and install the google play apk.
As soon as I rebooted, I was asked for my Google account and once I entered the information, everything, including my apps, automatically downloaded and installed. Of course, it's important to note that I backed up my account to my Google account. I highly recommend this.
So, I think if you just find the gapp.apk for your rom, you'll be ok.
Hope that helps,

just wipe the data cache and dalvik cache using cwm
I can no longer download anything from the play store. It says insufficient space. I have plenty and can download from amazon. If I go into to settings there isn't any app settings. I don't know what to do...I feel so dumb with this Nook, its nothing like my Evo which I can root and mod blind folded.

try clearing the data and cache from the play store app. under manage apps look for google play store and clear data and cache. go into play store and see if anything changes.
if not you probably need to wipe your caches through cwm recovery.
insufficient space...
If anyone has had this issue recently, this is what worked for me:
in ES File Explorer:
navigate to /data/dalvik-cache/
long-press to get the menu
select "select all"
at the top, hit the "delete" button.
navigate to /cache/
long-press to get the menu
select "select all"
touch the folders to deselect them
at the top, hit the "delete" button.
I had thought in /cache/ there was a folder called either cache or dalvik-cache which I also emptied, but right now it is not showing.
**you will get app force closes**
power off the Nook, then power it back up and retry downloading apps.
This worked fine for me with no consequences. Previously I tried deleting the play store cache and data every way I could find to do so, including with Titanium Backup and several reboots, SD card removals.

Help Me please!!!
Hi I have a NOOK TABLET 8GB and since the software upgrade to 1.4.3. stopped working the Android Market and I could not download any application. What should I do to enable it again?
If you upgraded a rooted tablet then you lost root (along with any gapps you had installed, like the Market). You'll have to re-root and reinstall the Market.

look here follow the directions and if you have any problems post them in that thread. after the 1.4.3 update it took me less than 30 minutes to regain root using Albert's method.

Hi,
My phone reboots whenever I try to manage apps or check my storage settings or open the Play Store. I checked out last_kmesg and found that there was a kernel panic caused by an issue with the user data area. I can't clear user data through settings so I used Titanium Backup to start clearing user data and it died on it's ass when it got to Google Play Store.
I tried selecting just the Play Store and clearing data and it crashed straight away so I'm pretty sure it's the Google Play Store causing the issues. Given that I can't clear the data while the OS is loaded is there any way of doing it from TWRP or suchlike? I want to clear ONLY the Play Store info, I don't want to have to do a factory reset and clean ROM installation as I haven't got access to a USB cable to transfer ROM files over this weekend and it's a royal pain having to set everything up again.
I'm on Cyanogenmod 10.1.3-RC1, android build 4.2.2.

Titanium Backup has s feature called Wipe Data this will allow you to clear the Cache and Data from any app
In the list of app tap the one you want like Play Store then tap Wipe Data, it asks you to confirm the wipe tap yes go into setting application manager find play store and the data and cache will be 0.00kb

Yeah the moment I tried to access the com.android.vending directory my phone hard rebooted again. I managed to delete the directory in TWRP and now my phone doesn't reboot anymore! The Play Store doesn't work now though...
EDIT
Scratch that, after a couple of reboots it's up and running again sorted!
