If this happens only when you are charging your phone it may be your kernel/rom... Early versions of cm had this bug.
Usual first step backup data then factory reset phone .

a pre rooted ftf 4.1.b.0.587 ? WOULD BE AWESOME

Is it possible to make 4.1.b.0.587 pre rooted ? so when we flash via flashtool we get it pre rooted
That would be hard,y don't you use pre root kernel?
Sent from my SK17i using xda premium
yes it would be awesome.
BUT rooting isnt something hard or something that needs more than 3-5 minutes.

@uchiha , i just like stock kernel
@mart , yup its easy but its not something that needs 3-5 minutes , flashing to gingerbread takes 5 minutes , minor stuff 2 minutes , flashing ics 5 minutes .. 15 minutes to root

If you need it you could do this with downgrade/update method and make a nandroid backup (without your data, with a factory reset) and upload on xda. Thix would maybe help many people, and they could just restore the nandroid backup from your phone.
Or you could look up how to make a update.zip from a nandroid backup
this would really be awsome, imagine bricking your phone then flashing an ftf file with root in it.

[Q] Xperia Neo won't boot (really need help)

Hi, guys! I really need your help!
My girfriends Neo crashed while she was on a trip and refused to boot. When it's connected to the charger it shows the Sony logo and stops on that message "the phone has crashed.." and tries to upload the crash files to the SD card but stops at 10% and starts uploading from the beginning, over and over again. When it's not on charger it's totaly dead. So I tried to flash it via flashtool and, judging by the log, everything went just fine, no errors, flashtool recognized the phone in flashmode.. But after it finnished phone still refused to boot.
I couldn't find a solution for this particular problem and, belive me, I searched all over the place. Is there anybody outhere who can help me out?
I think problem was due to hardware failure.
You need to service it.
Locked bl or unlocked?
Sent from my »Neo V«
locked or unlocked booloader.?
If locked:-
u can try restoring from SEMC service.
If unlocked:-
If ur Gf's phone is on a custom ROM .
Do the whole flashing process again .
Including flashing of kernel.
(OR)
Download a good ROM .
And flash the given kernel via fastboot .
Then flash the ROM via cwm.
And BTW the kernel will have a recovery (cwm) inbuilt into the kernel. So u don't have to flash cwm.
Please press 'thanks' if I helped.!

Thank you, guys, for your suggestions. I just wanted you to know how things played out. I flashed it several times but nothing worked so it was off to the service with it. The guy managed to flash it with the SEtool and there was a revelation. Effin thing is an engineering sample! It has a really weird IMEI and it must have overheated and that caused the crash. We're so pissed right now.
EDIT
Sorry, but if it's not asking too much I have one more question I flashed the nightelf kernel but the phone isn't rooted, I thought that wasn't possible? BTW the bootloader is unlocked. Thanks for everything!

If you flashed the night elf kernel correct then the phone must been rooted otherwise something went wrong. Try again or post us a log.

[HELP] Touchscreen not working-SOLUTION FOUND!!

I recently flashed a CM9 based rom on my Xperia Sola, but after flashing its touchscreen stopped working, don't know why?I tried flashing .54 ftf via flashtool,it installed perfectly but it didn't make touchscreen respond. Then i tried it repairing through SUS but to no avail.Does anybody here know what would've gone wrong because i haven't flashed any custom kernel on it(yep locked bootloader) and i don't think that a rom can damage hardware(i know 'cause i have been porting CM9 based roms on my sola and they worked perfectly without any flaw). Is it the calibration problem or something?Don't know what should i do now.....
(Don't know why i went with Sony even when i knew deep in my heart that i would regret:silly

Yes the different device ftf may cause touchscreen fault due to driver mismatching/wrong kernel, but i was using Sola's ftf so that is ruled out.Although you are right that something different is corrupting the screen 'cause Xperia Mini had the same problem that was related to some rom flashing.
Or may be,the flashtool doesn't format all the partitions of the phone and there are some hardware files still lurking somewhere in the one of the partition thats causing the problem, but its just my guess.
I thought that only wrong kernel can cause hardware failure, didn't knew that a simple rom flash can do this,so lesson learnt:silly:

Just flash the stock gingerbread via flashtool and there you go....touchscreen's functionality RESTORED.I guess i was correct about the wrong driver lurking in some partition...

Didn't flash back to ICS but i guess there shouldn't be any problem now.

Try the method given above...i.e install gingerbread firmware via flashtool, switch on your phone...run it for sometime, the touchscreen should work at this point. If yes,you can reflash stock ICS on your phone.Thats it.You can download GB firmware for Go from HERE.
Hope this helps.

By 'touchscreen keeps black' you mean that there is no display, that there may be some hardware fault,You should take it to the sevice center.

Does the touchscreen fault occured after flashing a rom/mod or after a physical damage?
If it is related to some physical damage, the solution won't work and you have to send it to service center.
