Hi guys.
I'm in the Netherlands and I just managed to install Joe Stones version of CM10 for my ZTE Smarttab 10.
Sadly however 3g does not seem to work.
Problem description:
When connected to WiFi in the bottom right corner status window I can see my mobile connection being Vodafone NL and the 3g symbol is there.
However as soon as I turn off WiFi the symbol changes and I get to "No internet connection" but it gets a signal strength so I guess it can see the network at least.
I have done the following:
- Checked the APN settings and they are correct
- Tried manually connecting to the network but i get error saying that I could not get connected to the network.
- Tried to use the instruction in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1273597 but the application crashes.
Anyone has any ideas on how I can continue to troubleshoot this issue?
(I cannot post in the Rom's development thread as I dont have 10 posts, hence this forum)
Thanks for any help!

Update: I have now tried with both CM10 and CM9 but the exact same issue.
Restoring my backup to the Stock HoneyComb solves the problem with 3g but then I'm not on ICS or JB.
Also tried to disable the SIM Pin but that did not do any difference on cm9 and cm10.
Did you find a solution already? I have exact the same problem.
[update] APN settings were not completed correctly. So I assume that there was nothing wrong with that. but apparently it was / Did it, checked the Vodafone site for the settings did every step and its works.[update]

Hi,
I recently acquired this galaxy S after my HD2 stopped functioning. When I got it, it had Cynaogenmod on it; however, I wanted MIUI. So, I reverted the phone to stock configurations and loaded MIUI on there.
I used the methods posted in this thread and loaded the revamped SS-6 MIUI rom (I tried all the way up to SS-8). I later found that this was an outdated method and used the suggestions made by the rom creator. Both times I loaded the OS successfully. Unfortunately, the data wasn't working. It showed that I was connected and had full bars with 3G or H connection... but all apps that required data still failed to connect.
I always got a message saying "Data connectivity problem: Server failed to communicate. Please try again later." So, I reverted the phone back to stock JFD using ODIN. I still have the data issue -- nothing connects. The bars are still full and the 3G symbol is still there... it just won't work.
The phone info is:
Model Number: SGH-T959
Firmware Version: 2.1-update 1
Baseband Version: T959UVJFD
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: ECLAIR
The "Mobile Network Type" reads "HSDPA" and the "Mobile Network State" reads "connected".
Just to clarify, I can still text and call. I just have no data. Wifi works. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; I'm completely stumped here. Thanks!
You saw the answer in the other thread, right?
Nope, I've been looking for an answer. Is there a thread that has a solution?
The one titled: "Miui completely ignores Data settings". It's a problem with the latest MIUI.
Check out the second post in the GingerZen thread. Follow the steps and ODIN using Eugene's Froyo That Does Not Brick. It should give you a fresh start. As a bonus, it re-roots your phone in the process. Note: only check re-partition for the second flash.
Awesome! Thanks, I'll try it. So, I just use the PIT file that comes with vibrant AIO?
You could grab the one from s15274n's "Noob Guide" too.
Then save all 3 files on your desktop for the next time you have to ODIN.

Your APN settings are screwed up. You'll need to reset your APN settings. Do not go flashing random software to fix your APN settings.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I followed the steps, but I'm still experiencing the data failure. :-\
I expected that to restore all settings. Google the correct APN settings as suggested. Hope that's it.
(But keep the EFTDNB files handy. They aren't exactly random and will usually get you out of a bind.)
I'm pretty sure I have the correct APN settings. At least, they seem to match what everyone else has posted. I noticed that the arrows around the data symbol (3G or H) only light up on the left side. This to me seems to show that I'm sending data; I'm just not receiving it.
Edit: Solution Found! It was on T-Mobile's end. Apparently, the data package from my HD2 was not compatible with this device. So, they set me up with the "Android equivalent" and "presto!", it works. Thanks for all the assistance!
Not sure exactly how to start this off but I am having issues using my network on my X10. I've included a screenshot of the general info from my phone. My X10's bootloader is unlocked, CM7 installed. I followed the directions here to unlock the bootloader and get CM7 on my phone. I have the applicable APNs for the NTT Docomo network (also included screenshot). With wifi enabled the mobile network connection becomes disabled and re-enables itself when wifi is turned off.
I've searched all over the forums and the internet and couldn't figure out any fixes. Any help will be appreciated.
Yes, the data problem exists in fxp 41 and 42 of CM7. Ppl have said that icons turn green and then there network dosent work. Thankfully I am not facing it.
I dont use market and havent synced my phone with google account. Hope this works for you.
I've been looking for the FXP030 but the link is down. Is there a mirror or another CM7 mod that I can use. I've tried using busybox to kill servicemanger but busybox is stuck on a loading screen even after rebooting the phone.
CyanogenMod network problem
Hi all i have this problem also...
network not working, and problem with market and email..
ifi go to recovery and wipe dalvik then market works but when i try to go on internet or try to setup email network crashes...
The FXP30 link is down. I guess someone has requested to reupload the files. Check there thread for this update. I guess fxp 43 will be released anytime this week. So try your luck on it.
Hi hope somebody can help here, acquired this phone yesterday (used) put sim in works fine makes and receives calls no problem, connects to the net via browser sometimes no problem , when tethering with either wifi or usb connection lasts for a few mins then loses connectivity but browsing on the phone browser works fine (Icon still shows data connected arrows-- signal blue), sometimes the browser loses it too but only when trying to go to links from google search, if i scroll though the pages of search results via google it open up the next page of results WTF !!!! I have tried bluetooth and many different tethering apps all with same result, I tried to update rom but verification failed even with a force flash, cannot flash recovery as it asks for blaze drivers, tried standard adb driver but device not found when trying adb-devices , its running B021 Vodafone uk rom kernel version 3.08-00004, any ideas Im about to give up and take it back HELP !!
Update, I have managed to install clockwork by installing linux dual boot, think I will keep it too, now running jellybean, now just need to port some Roms ! also I think xda should give this phone is own section , finding anything on xda for it is nightmare !
I have looked around for a couple of hours and cannot find any answer to this.
I have just got my S3 back from being repaired after Sudden Death, and have rooted using Odin and CWM Touch 6.0.2.8, and flashed the latest cm10.1 Nightly (Currently 17022013)
I am able to connect to the mobile network (3 UK) and get a good H+ connection.
I cleared all of my saved wifi networks, and try to connect to my home connection. It Accepts the WPA key, and gets to 'Obtaining IP Address...' and does not go any further.
I have tried now on several wireless networks including insecure ones, and it will not connect.
Please help if you've had anything similar, or if I need to provide more information, a log of some kind
I have installed the latest nightly from CM10.1 and the issue is still present. Which makes me think that it is not a CM issue.
I will be re-flashing the stock image of the phone to confirm this shortly. Will post results

this worked for me but i found it easiser to swap the folder before instaling rom
Hi
I own a Meizu MX2 m040 with Android 4.1.1
lately i tried flashing the new MIUI V5 and suddenly my 3G/2G network is not working.
Although my phone shows signal lines and "H" indicator, I get the general "Web page not available" error (probably no real signal).
Few relevant things:
When I switch to Flyme or CM mod the network works fine
My APN is set properly by my provider
My WiFi works fine
Tried rolling back without any success
factory reset leaves me with the last rom I flashed without user data
It seems like I have few issues in recovery mode. When I try to flash a new rom:
Flyme recovery says "Firmware not found"
MIUI recovery says "Installation failed"
I think that the problem might be the kernel or radio
I've noticed others had the same problem with different devices but I could only find a Galaxy patch to solve it
Can you plz direct me to a solution, a patch or a good and complete tutorial for flashing all three Kernel\Radio\ROM?
