Hello all
This is my seconed galaxy s2 ,the firsylt one was perfect i rooted him and he was never getting over heating and i controled the cpu hertz just perfectly until it felt to the toilet so the ensurance gave me anther galaxy s2 , and to this galaxy i did CF root and he was rooted perfectly ,i did everything right by the guide and followed every step, i downloaded rom toolbox and started to make CPU control profiles for battery life of course, but my phone always got stuck and turned off randomly i think and got over heated so fast( about 50c) so i stoped controlled the cpu and my phone is still getting to 45c in a metter of seconds when im even surfing, and it never happend to me with my last phone,please help me guys!!!!!(sorry for my bad english)

Can you tell me these CPU profiles? Did you undervolt it too?

the first thing the Beast (Sgs2) doesn't like is its CPU and GPU config been messed up with for sure
thats why the overheating is an indication to u from the beast to say "stay with all these pranks and use me the way i am"
First i didnt change the cpu,i ttied and it didnt work,but my galaxy is still over hrating so fast,why is thus happen?it is always near the camera.
Anf second if you make profiles like when the screen is off lower max cpu ti 500 mhz or when the temp is above 50 lower as well the cpu 300 mhz, if you think a bit it is much better for the beast
But i cant do it and that is my question

I didn't really know where to post this but as it says in the title "CPU Control problems" then I suppose it's suitable.
My problem is when I overlook my CPU, it overlooks it until I turn off the screen then it goes back to default value but it's still set to be overclocked if that makes sense.
I'm using siyah 4.1.4 and PA2.10

First of all, happy new year to all of yous...
Straight to the point, I have Omega ROM v10 now, but since I bought S2 and play any games or listen to music or so, the phone heats up... Like near camera and speaker areas it gets hot and I can feel it if I touch the fone...
Is it normal or do I have to take it to service centre??? What can be the reason???
And one more thing, BLN Control is not working too...
Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated...
Try Phenomenal kernal 2.0 medium or extreme its makes a big difference in running graphic intensive games at cooler tempretures. It's based on speedmod so there's no bln

By the way, there is one more problem in my S2:
Backlight doesn't work perfectly... For example, I start playing any game like angry bird, the backlight doesn't light up at all for a minute or two, then suddenly backlight is up and then suddenly screen becomes dark again...
Why it is like that??? What should I do for this issue??? Screen is suppose to lit whenever we touch it, ryt???
If its service centre you have no waranty.You will need to revert to stock.

So there's this thing called electricity and there's this thing called a processor. When the process asks for Mr. Wire to bring it some more Mrs. Electricity it gets really excited. The more electricity it asks for the more excited it gets. One of the bi-products of excitement is heat, when Mr. Processor is chugging along at 1200 MHz its really really excited. But when Mr. Processor is only going at 200 MHz its not so excited, so it doesn't produce so much heat. The only way that your phone can work is when Mr. Processor and Mrs. Electricity get together, and because Mr. Processor is quite a horny blighter it's always going to produce heat. As for your "problem" pertaining to BLN not working, Mr. Process is quite a clever little thing and has made the conscious decision for you to stop BLN from working because its a massive waste of battery and phone resources. There, isn't Mr. Processor just wonderful. You should go and over-clock him to 1600MHz right now to reward him.
Thanks for your help and guidance guys... By the way, I installed Siyah Kernel v2.6.4 and the heating issue is resolved... Also BLN is working now with this kernel...

I have been coming to this forum for a couple of months but I was just watching... Now this is my first post on this forum
Thanks to Westcrip, my phone has Resurrection Remix 3.0.2 with Siyah 4.0.1 installed... And I need a solution from here not from samsung itself.. Because since I installed RR 3.0 or Siyah 4.0 it started to get extremely hotter... Nothing wrong in my phone, nothing wrong in my charging cable, it's not overclocked, it's not extra tweaked.. it doesn't get that hot while charging via usb cable though, no games opened, no apps used... Used RAM is almost 400 Mhz, and I guess that's stable, but it even goes higher to reach 750 Mhz without doing nothing, to end this, i restart my phone.
According to CPU Spy: It doesn't go to deep sleep and it's on 500 MHz most of the time
Heat comes from the processor on the back... It comes from charging area, and the screen gets really warm. Thank you
it must b because lot of process is running in the background which consumes the ram resources

Get better battery stats and see what app is causing it. Search the xda site if you want the app for free, or buy from the play store.

I think the problem is fixed, I see a huge improvement now. It goes to deep sleep and battery is okay now. The new update 3.0.3 has fixed many things, and that's awesome.

The one under the CPU tab clearly says, "during boot time only." So, what do you think?
Lol, so you mad? Anyways it actually works, I asked because when I had my s2 undervolting showed as -100 but didn't actually work according to the developer and it was still a work in progress. Then when I tried undervolting on an actually working undervlt kernel to -100, it did a boot loop, just wanted to confirm if it actually works is all. I'm new to i9300 development , I'm coming from t989 development. I found out it works because after heavy gaming , -100 gave me a random reboot , going back to -75. Thanks for your....help? Haha

Several days ago my sola started to lag by itself, almost all the time. Recently I found out that the CPU usage was very high (ex: using governor performance the usage is 100% on 1.0 GHz, using powersafer it's 100% on 200Hz, using hotplug it runs around 80-90% on 200Hz or 1.0GHz, sometimes around 60%).
I also tried changing the I/O scheduler, it's not really working.
Sometimes it works normal, but mostly are when charging.
I'm a real noob for such thing.
Please, I beg of you, help me fix this problem, whenever this happens my heart broke.
Note : It's rooted, using Speedy kernel v5.5 or v5.0, I don't remember, Project GX Gaming ROM v5.0.0.

If i got u right u are using custom ROM?
Try to set back original one, that may solve your problem. I would suggest to stick with GB instead of ICS on Xperia Sola.
I am not a pro with all this stuff, but I was facing few problems with updating to... Downgrading to GB solved some of them
how s your battery life?
It depends on what governor I'm using, but that's not the main problem here.
It's about endless CPU usage for nothing that makes my phone lags all the time. Even it lags as hell right after boot now.
I'm about to change to Galaxy Y now though.
No need to do that... Everything is fixable... Mine works like a charm... No laggs at all.. Only thing I claim about is battery... Notice that there is no perfect phone around... And sola is not the worst one. But it s up to u to decide...

my galaxy s3 gets heated up to 55°c while playing clash of clans using 3g network....i am on aosp 4.4.4 neat rom with archi kernel plus i have not overclocked any thing inside ..but whatever i try, which ever cpu governer i use while playing clash of clans after 5-10 minutes my phone gets overheated is that normal ????? if it's not then please help me

This isn't solution. My sister has stock everything but trust me, it heats a lot when using 3G.
set cpu 1200mhz.. or 1000mhz.. but its reduce your performance.. n become slow..

Is that CPU temperature or Battery temperature
Probably battery, and it's really high. I never seen more than 50 on my s3 even after couple hours of playing with connected charger.
Try different, original battery because if battery is at 55 than your cpu is ca 80 or more.
