LG Optimus L7 SD issue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to move my apps to the 32 gb sd card in my lg optimus l7 to preserve the tiny 2gb of internal memory (really lg, what were you thinking...).
I tried downloading the app2sd program but it gave me the error "The device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulated"
There is no move to sdcard option in the apps menu.
Also tried changing default install location using this tutorial:
bongizmo[DOT]com/blog/moving-all-android-apps-to-sdcard-apps2sd-froyo/
(replace [DOT] with a .)
It didn't work (i installed a new app and it went to internal sd/memory), so I reversed it back to normal.
Is there any workaround? I need more space for apps!
Please help!
BTW, any way to root firmware v10e yet?
Sorry for the ultra n00b factor...
PS. Mods, if this should be in Q&A please move it there

[Q] how to install applications on SD card

Hi all,
I just brought the LG Optimus One P500 this afternoon and thanks for great info in XD. I managed to rooted the device so smotthly
Question:
after rooting, now how can install/move my applications to my SD card instead of the internal memory.
Previosuly on Samsumg spica there is a tool call App2SD, any similiar tools for LG Optimus One P500
Thanks
Do you want to install directly to the sd card or just to move them after being installed on the internal memory?
You can move apps around using Settings->Applications since FroYo can do that for you but not all apps can be moved just yet. Other apps can move them forcefully (I use Titanium Backup to do that).
If you want to install to the sd card directly, look for an app called apps2sd. I found it on the market a few months ago and it opened like the Settings menu. It will just ask you where you want apps to go to when you install them. It was really simple. Widgets wont work from the sd card though. Move them to the internal memory and reboot after if you have them on the sd card already.
and make sure you have a fast card if you want to install directly to the sd card.

If your device is rooted, you can use Folder Mount to copy apps on external storage.

[Q] What is the easiest way to extend the memory capacity of a KitKat phone?

Hello,
What is the easiest way to expand the usable memory for apps on an Android KitKat phone which is rooted? I have seen many apps and solutions to this. Link2SD looks to be the simplest. I want to enable the device to use the external SD card to store apps and data to. The phone I have, LG L70 D321 has 2GB of phone storage and 2GB of internal RAM (ridiculous). I have a 16GB external SD card which I want to load the apps onto since the other space is already exhausted.
The solution should be transparent to the end user, meaning that when they install a new app, it simply gets installed to the SD card without having to do anything extra like assigning paths or anything.
Thanks everyone.
There are a few apps that will install them on sd cards but be warned it will hurt performance and may cause issues. Also no widgets for anything on sd card.

[Q] Help Making Apps Find SD Card instead on emulated storage?

I just got a LG Optimus L90 as the replacement device for my G2 (broken charger port) so now that I've backed up everything from my old phone I've ran into a problem. Most apps I need to use to restore files only look for files in /storage/emulated/0 on my device, but since my apps are on my external SD card I need to get apps to show all available storage's so that I can select my sd card. Anyone know of a way to do so?

[Q] LG Realm 4.4.2 - Setting SD Card as Primary Storage?

Hi all,
I just got my hands on a Boost Mobile LG Realm. It turns out this phone only has 1gb of internal storage. I popped in a micro sd thinking it would solve the issue. It turns out that you cannot save apps to the SD card. Shoot, some of my apps don't even have the option of setting the SD card as the primary save location.
I have done some research, but alas I still need some assistance. Can someone tell me how I can use my SD card as my primary storage on Kit Kat 4.4.2? I have discovered that my phone has an emulated external storage so that it stops the SD card from being used as a primary storage.
I have successfully rooted the phone via Towelroot, and I have frozen/uninstalled some bloat ware using Titanium Backup
Edit: I have attached my vold file via dropbox: dropbox com/s/ihpfoo4h79kaphx/vold.fstab?dl=0
Like I said I have done some research and the code in my vold file does not match the ones in the guides.

Your gonna be kinda stuck. While you can move the apps to sdcard with a few tools the app data will still be on the internal storage. There are a few ways to move that also but due to the way sd cards work on Android it kills app performance and may even stop the app from working all together. This is due to android removing all sd card code from stock Android and each OEM has to add it back on their own so coding is different from one device to another.
