OK, i´m a new "flasher" and i have a Question.
I got my new SGS2 and i flashed it with the "Batista70 FOXHOUND EDITION 2.2"
All works fine! Now the Version 2.4 is out and i wanna flash this new Version. I spent a lot of Time to load my apps and configure the Apps, Launcher, make my Homescreen how i like........ - this new Version 2.4 is a "WIPE" Version, so all my Apps and on and on are gone after the Wipe. Thats right? Is there a possibility (maybe with an App) to save all this Things and bring it back after the Flash?
In short-form: i want to flash the new Rom and keep all other things, respectively bring it easy back
thanks a lot

You could use:
- the search function
- the Batista ROM thread
- Titanium Backup
Oh, and btw, wrong section, should´ve posted on Q&A.
my fault :-( sorry
Is my first post here and first i tried to post ind the "Batista ROM thread" and it say´d "you have not the rights to post here" :-(
Or there are different "Batista" Threads?
How can i move the post to the other Thread ?

You can´t, it´s a job for a moderator (now it´s when he appears flying using his underwear over his pants and save the day).
The thing is, usually when you install a new version of the same ROM, no wipe is needed, but I am not sure about Batista´s. Try backing up using Titanium Backup, then install the ROM without wiping. If everything works after that, cool. If not, boot into cwm, wipe, clear cache, reboot, then restore your backup.
Big Thanks!!
I think i try it in this way
Titanium Backup saves all my things - is this right? Do i need the normal Version or the Pro?
The normal version will do for basic stuff. Make sure you also back up your contacts (google), sms-es (sms backup and restore app), call logs (whatever app) and do a general NAND backup from recovery mod.
firstly get yourself TB premium..Trust me its worth getting...back your apps up. then flash new foxhound version and then restore your apps through TB and you should have things the way you did..especially if you are using go launcher or launcher pro you should be fine
I made my Backup
SMS
Google Contacts
Call Logs doesn´t matter
Download new Batista 2.4
make now my NAND backup.....
and let´s start i hope all gets fine
Thanks for all your help....
@Matriak31 - i use the "go launcher"

you should be fine then..cause when you backup with TB one thing that i learned is when you restore on your new rom and you choose say go launcher as your default launcher everything you saved your homescreens that is stay the same...only widgets you need to sort out but that takes less than a minute to sort out..if you need any help drop me a message

Hello N7105 owners,
DISCLAIMER:
By reading this post, downloading any of the links, or acting on it in anyway you accept full responsibility for the outcome. I strongly suggest you do not download this ROM but that's just my opinion.
What this is:
This is EE's (UK operator)(formally Orange & T-Mobile) stock ROM for the GT-N7105 or Galaxy Note 2 LTE International - N7105XXXALIJ
Stock Kernel
Rooted
Busybox
Fully deodexed
Zip aligned
Some bloatware removed. (Light version)
What you would need:
Custom recovery (CWM) <-- See other threads for the how-to I might post a link later.
What you would do:
Download .zip
While waiting... it's big (sorry) ... do a nandroid <-- Google it.
Put .zip onto external SD Card (internal would be fine too but I think if you full wiped it'd get deleted and your panties would twist)
Flash .zip
Wait... remember it's big (sorry)
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
Enjoy
What else you would want to do:
Flash a different Kernel - there's only one floating around for now.
Use a storage data swap - two options
Use performance scripts, see around there are lots and they'll work best with a different kernel with init.d support - there is a thread with an how-to for getting support with any kernel/ROM and I tried it but failed. I didn't try hard.
Wipe Data - this shouldn't be necessary as your phone will already be on a stock ROM.
What I would like you to do:
Make themes and I'll link them in post 2
Tell me what default apps you want back or what taken away.
Post links to other stock ROMs you'd like made more convenient (that's all this is btw because it's no different than rooting etc yourself after the fact).
Talk about N7105 development - we all want proper Dev support and built from source roms.
What I don't want you to do:
Expect anything from me.
Flash this thinking it's something special, or that I'm a dev, or think that this is counts as actual development.

Tbh until there's been some discussion about what should be in and what should be out the light version is not recommended. There's literally too many apps and too many Samsung goodies to know whats right to remove.
The once we agree on the best minimum apps for a base, I'll just use that for updates and the other apps can come in a range flashable packages.
For now the recommended way to debloat is just use titanium backup.

Those few who have downloaded the Light version, how is it? Did it boot? I remove anything that needs putting back in? Is there anything still there you would consider bloat?
Is the bloated version deodexed, zip aligned etc?
Yes. The only difference is a number of system apps are removed in the light version.

Great, trying it now. I want to see if the Multiwindow mod (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953705) will work with this. If so it would be great to start having it cooked into later roms. Will feedback later.
Will cirtainly try it but my phone is acting up. It refuces to use 4g, it goes like a jojo between e/g/3g/h and thats when its connected. Most of the dsy its out of service so need to return it.

Has to be deodex / custom ROMs, right?

Support 7105 rom
Should have ALJ4 uploaded tomorrow.
Edit:
Dang the re branding broke s note. Can't fix until tomorrow. Probably just need to push a different s note app (has someone optimised that awful app yet?)
It's uploading anyway if it doesn't fail I'll post link but flashing it without at least removing the s note app will result in infinite FCs. It's otherwise untested.

Hey guys, I just rooted and flashed the Jelly Beans Build 2 ROM on my GS4. I noticed the new features like the Wifi and hotspot toggles but then as soon as I backed up my apps using titanium back up, they disappeared. Also, I noticed ALOT of bloat was still on the device although I was told that there's supposed to be little to no bloat on the ROM. Lastly, I've been hearing superb things about the battery life but my battery life isn't as good as when the phone was stock. Did something go wrong when I flashed this rom? I also flashed faux kernel with it. I'm thinking that the backup messed up certain things in the ROM and also backed up my bloat from my stock ROM. Could this be true? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you factory wipe your phone before installing? I usually do it 3 times before installing a ROM.
Also, did you restore TiBu apps AND system apps? Backing-up your apps [with TiBu] should have no affect on how your system works, at all. It does nothing to change your system (think of it as reading-only).
I use KT's kernel using the recommended settings and I get about 5-6 hours non-wifi OST with this ROM. And about 1.5-2 days of use.
Reflash and retry. Or try a different ROM and/or kernel.

You have to do a full factory wipe, not just cache and dalvik, before installing a new ROM. No need to back up system data, unless you are certainly restoring to the same ROM; restoring system data only leads to problems.

Cassie's XtraLiteRom for the Samsung Galaxy Mega LTE I9205
Based On Stock Slovenia MG7 Rom
History
I moved to the Galaxy Mega from the Samsung Galaxy Note and had produced one of the longest running roms for that phone, so now i pay my attention to the Galaxy Mega devices.
Its currently early days for this device and roms, as of 21st July we still have issues with CWM, Root, amongst other things so its back to the drawing board
Those who knew my later edition roms know that they came with Aroma Installer, alas this is another area thats not playing ball at the moment so ive gone back to the good ole days of producing a slim rom with removed app updates zips. Dont worry as development progresses the old style install will come back
Rom Details for V4 18th August 2013
Based on Stock MG7 Slovenia
Odexed
Pre Rooted with Super SU 1.51 latest Busybox
Memory management Tweaks
Removed Init.d Tweak
Removed Thunderbolted for smooth performance / battery life balance
Changed lockscreen light flare to blue orb, original images by kr3g3rs all creds to him
Stripped to the BONE, Apks, Libs,Media, tts,Others
Currently 570MB - original over 1.1gb
Install Instructions For V4
1) Make sure you are rooted and have CWM installed
2) Make sure you have a Backup incase things go pete tong
3) Copy Rom Zip to your phone
4) IN CWM - Factory reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik
5) Select Install Rom in CWM Main Screen
6) Select The file you copied over and click Yes
7) The installer WILL throw an error at the end but dont worry its all fine
8) When you click reboot now it may give you another warning about loosing root and it will ask you if you want to fix it - CLICK YES
9) First boot will be a while
Known Issues
A) Not an issue so to speak but certain menu items will cause a crash if you have not installed the additional apps, i.e faceunlock, or help file etc not a bug just the benefits of slim rom, but you probably wont come across it, Video player has odd dependancies
Tips and Tricks
1) Give yourself Developer Mode - Click Build Properties in about device until it tells you success
2) Turn animations to .5x instead of x1
3) Folder Mount works perfectly if you have it backedup when you open just pin the apps (after you install them before you open them)
4) Turn wifi on off at set times, Goto settings > Wifi > Advanced> set time

One thing I pride myself on is my n7000 thread never turned into a flame war.
We were all new to this and needes help on the way.
I always flash my builds every which way I can as to reduce any risk.
All I ask is that you read and follow instructions before asking a question. However I will always answer where possible and I ask users of this rom to assist each other.
I appreciate english is not everyones first language an I ask you all to understand that when assisting people. People should always search first but we shall not flame anyone who does not
So please all play nice and enjoy yourselves

thering1975 In the local forum i participate in some people flashed I9205 based rom onto their I9200 devices, taking the modem file (NON-HLOS.bin) out of the firmaware, an this worked fine. As an option it's also possible to remove the kernel and recovery from the firmware and in this case you won't get the two red lines after flashing. I guess your rom can be flashed to the i9200 in this way also?

For the moment the modem is removed as ia the kernel.
No recovery is included as no cuatom kernel or cwm is done yet.
As for will it work on i9200 I cant say in theory I cant see why not as long as the partition table matches but alas im not going to recommend it so try at your risk.

Congratulations! This is officially the first custom ROM for the Galaxy Mega 6.3. I'm sure this will be the best ROM just like with my original Note. Hopefully the issues with CWM and root will be ironed out soon. I am not bothered with AROMA as long as I get the slimmest ROM possible with rock solid stability. All the extras can be put in a separate file for those who want them.
So with Foldermount, is this correct?
* Do a backup of the mounts in the app
* No need to put the data back into phone storage
* After installing custom ROM, install apps that use foldermount
* Before opening the apps, restore foldermount data
Is the default phone storage bigger in this ROM? Thanks for all the hard work

I backed folder mount both with tb and its internal backup
Google rerestored all apps
Open folder mount and pinned the apps

I see, I just need to back everything using Titanium backup and restore them like usual. I deleted most bloatware manually and currently I get almost 900MB RAM free. The only Samsung app I use is the Watch On to use the remote control function of the Mega. Keep up the excellent work :highfive:
Use tb sparingly it can be a pain I restore data only.
Foldrrmount has its own backup in its settings I think. The app data is on your sd card so once pinned all good

So does this mean that all international ROMs should work with our device? Pretty sure the hardware is identical (although I might be wrong - correct me if I am) so I see no reason why they wouldn't. Would love some insight from someone with more knowledge, however.

Are you on that rom? I read all the pages and it looks promising. Wanna hear some feedback from T-Mo users

Thank you.
I installed AllianceROM from the international forum and it worked fine on my T-Mobile phone. Somebody else flashed Omega ROM and that worked too.

Yes I am currently running the Omega v1.3 rom
I am running it and it works Absolutely perfectly! If anyone is also having a problem with Shealth working after installing Xposed it seems to fix it. Just a few warning thought that I thought I would post.
1) After flashing it will flash all your internal storage - Backup everything first, Also I would move the zip to an external Sdcard before flashing.
2) Even if you select no wipe in aroma while upgrading, it still seems to wipe everything including your internal storage.

I apologize I just thought that people would look under the rom section instead of the general for working roms. I also thought that maybe a dev or master chef might want to use it for their roms Again I apologize and thank you for moving it to the correct section.

No worries, not the end of the world[emoji6]
For future reference, if you ported it it could go in development, just a cool find like this would go here[emoji106]

Sweeet! I ran a few Int'l Roms on my Note 3 also. I edited the updater script so that it wouldn't format the internal storage.

Yeah, I was thinking about trying to get permissions of a few international roms to try and alter the upater script and edit a few things to make them more compatible with the us roms.
There are several INT'L ROMs that work great with TMO USA S5.
Just look Here:

No need to "port"
Just flash it!
I'm assuming that WIFI calling does NOT work with this ROM, correct?

Wifi calling is a tmobile specific addition, so won't be included in international roms.

I have flashed EVERY ROM that has been posted on the International S5 threads and they all work with the TMOBILE S5
Alliance Rom is phenomenal - Omega is great - so is Echo - The only thing yoiu have to get used to is that you lose WiFi calling. I am using a TMOBILE S5 on the ATT network so it doesn't matter to me anyway - ATT doesn't support WiFi calling - but to be honest, the benefits of flahsing these roms far outweighs the benefits of Wifi Calling. (IMHO anyway)
NO special steps are needed - EXCEPT - when you flash an International ROM be prepared - they do usually wipe the Internal SD card. So make a back up of the important files (like Titanium Backup for example)
while we wait for TMO development to get underway - at least you have a few very good roms you can play with.
Good luck and happy flashing!
Hey guys, just posted the first (very basic) version of my project infinity Rom in the development forum. It is based on the t mobile framework, not international, so has WiFi calling etc. I plan to update it quite a bit. Also, it doesn't wipe the SD card upon install.

Any plans to get flash working?
I am downloading the ROM, so far it looks good and I did not want to lose the wi-fi calling options so I've held off on the other ROMs so far.
