[Q] samsung galaxy s2 masters help me pls - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have samsung galaxy s2 i have two problem with this
1: a hw info messeage on the screen tell me how to disable this info message i upgrade the software, reset the phone, hard reset the phone but failed to remove this message see image below
message like
HW: REV__
PDA: 19100xxlq5
PHONE: 19100xxlq5
CSC: 19100xxlq5
RF Cal. Date: none
SMD, PBA : N
CAMERA: N/A
TSP: 0x16
TSK: 0x4
2: i install the "color torch light" and i uninstall this a transparent "Bulb" image print on the screen i reset, hard reset, software upgrade but faild to disapear it.

Solution (it worked for a guy with the same problem today):
ROOT access needed.
Download from Market "Terminal Emulator"
Open it and type this commands:
su
echo -n ON > /efs/imei/keystr
sync
reboot

I root the device successfully and install the terminal emulator from market but problem is when i use "su" command the message apeare on the screen "The selected command does not exist" tell me solution plz i'm very thankful to you

Download check root from market too check if root is functioning well

yes device is root successfully i check it now with root checker message from root cheker "Congratulation! This device has root access!" check out my screenshot the message still apear on the screen.

"su" must be in small letters
You need the command to gain root access

really very thankful to you for solving my problem no 1. i use this method to solve this issue
To fix scrren lock issue, do the following:
For ALL whoever are facing problems with the LOCK SCREEN here is the solution :
Tools Needed:
1. Hex Editor
2. Root Explorer
Steps to restore:
1. Using root explorer locate the /efs/imei/ folder. In that folder there should be a file called keystr. In my case the file was missing which is why the lock screen was missing and was causing my problems.
2. using root explorer create a new file called keystr
3. also in root explorer open the file keystr in text editor and type ON
4. now go into hex editor and locate the /efs/imei/keystr file.
5. using hex editor the first two values in green should be 4f and 4e. all others should be 00.
6. make sure you save the file.
7. reboot.

1. That method is still the same thing as mine. I just wanted to save you the hex editor stuffs.
2. Post screenshot or try to explain the transparent bulb issue better

screenshot of my second problem

a transparent "bulb" image on the screen, i install the "color flashlite" after uninstall it appear the "bulb" image on it. I upgrade the software, hard reset not disappear, i install the color flashlite again and uninstall it but not dispear. kindly solve my problem i'm very thankful to you for this kindness....

I finally got rid of the black box with this solution. Thank you very much!

finally got it to work but had to make a special busy box script and run it from there... worked like a charm

I have the same problem,i tried solution 1 & 2 neither works. My device is rooted i checked it now with root checker ..."Congratulation! This device has root access!"
i modify the keystr file end i save it but i think on rebut it rewrites it!
Please post details about the script .

Open terminal emulator and type as ;
su
rm /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
rm /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
echo -n ON >> /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
echo -n ON >> /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
chown 1000.1000 /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
chown 1000.1000 /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
chmod 0744 /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
chmod 0744 /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
reboot
You now should not see the that message anymore. Its because of an EFS corruption.
