volume boost on sip calls? - HTC EVO 3D

I've noticed on all the HTC Devices I've used (Desire HD, EVO3D, possibly others) that the call volume is lower on voip, especially native SIP calling.
Native SIP calling is probably 30% less loud than native GSM calling.
Any way to mod this?

Voice communication sound quality issues

I am having an issue with sound quality out of Acer Iconia A501 tab with Honeycomb 3.2 installed (ROM Harkon 1.0, KERNEL HoneyVillian 3.7). Unfortunately I didn't test it with the stock ROM.
The problem: voice sound in video/voice chat software (Skype, CSipSimple etc.) is of very poor quality (very low volume and very high amount of background noise, as if i'm talking from a closet). The same is true for various voice recording apps.
The only exception so far is TapeMachine.
If I use a _wired_ mobile phone headset AND record using TapeMachine with AutoGain turned off and Input gain set to +20dB, the voice recording is of very good quality, clear and loud. But with the same headset the sound through Skype Echo Test Service is awful. A strange and a very disappointing thing is that with a built-in mic the same TapeMachine settings do not produce any change in voice quality - it was still awful.
Sound Meter reports my background sound (with the headset) at 40dB when silent and 65-70dB when talking.
My understanding of the issue is that starting with API Level 11 (Honeycomb 3.0) voice/video chat software uses android.media.MediaRecorder.AudioSource.VOICE_COMMUNICATION audio source, which is a "Microphone audio source tuned for voice communications such as VoIP. It will for instance take advantage of echo cancellation or automatic gain control if available. It otherwise behaves like DEFAULT if no voice processing is applied."
And it seems like it's not working very well.
My question is: could somebody, please, develop a hack that would allow tweaking of system wide echo cancellation and automatic gain control settings if that's at all possible?
Or is there any other solution?
Thank you!

No voice when using VoIP via Bluetooth headset

I am experiencing the following problem with my GT-S5282:
Even though both music and normal calls are transmited just fine to the Bluetouth headset (MW600), there is no voice when making a VoIP call (I am using the build-in Andoid's SIP support). The headset is showing the time of the call and allows to end it and so on, but there is no sound. VoIP works fine on GT-S5282 without the headset and I didn't have this problem with the same headset on HTC Incredible S.
Probably the same problem as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/skype-viber-voip-bluetooth-headset-t2405497

[Q] VoIP / SIP recording

Hello,
I've got the paid version of Automatic Call Recorder and works as a treat.
However, doesn't record VoIP / SIP calls regardless what settings I've tried so far.
Can I ask if you came across this, please?
Or do you know another app who can do that? Maybe a sort of Skype voice recording would do the trick...
Cheers
You can buy a Classical Mp3 recorder or an iPod touch.
When you call turn on speakers. And it will do the trick.
That's fine, I wouldn't mind doing it but I'd like to record without turning the speakers on. And automatically...

Low quality audio while in an internet call (Skype, Discord, ...)

I recently switched from an iPhone X to a Samsung Galaxy S9 and while I love the phone there is just one big problem:
When I'm in an internet voice call like Skype, Discord, etc... the audio is REALLY low quality. Like the bitrate is dramatically reduced or something.
I found out that if you call your voicemail and put it on hold during the internet call, the issue is temporarily resolved (until the voicemail automatically terminates) and you can perfectly hear the other side.
This is a really big issue for me and I'm out of ideas on what to do. Is there some setting in the phone that I'm missing to fix this?
Oh and something else that happens while in an internet voice call: ALL audio (except a phone call) quality is lowered. Even playing Spotify or Youtube or playing a game with sound is absolutely unbearable while on Skype with someone.
I'm using the default samsung AKG wired earphones.
Any advice?
Thanks!
I feel S9+ really having a bad internet connection. I'm not sure what it caused. My iphone 8 works well, but somehow It's reallly slow watching videos on S9+... However, voice call is fine.
I have the same problem.
For example if I listen to radio at the phone and somebody calls me via WiFi-Call or VoLTE, the radio quality is very limited. Also with the "call"-speaker. If the call is via the normal mobile network, the radio quality is perfect.
