[GSM] Stuck BootLoop - HTC EVO 3D

Hello guyz,
I would be thankful if there is someone that could help me solve my problem.
I have an HTC evo 3D stuck in bootloop. I had ICS 4.0.3 on it.
my mobile is rooted and his cid was HTC_622 with bootloader unlocked and S-ON
i have successfully changed my cid to HTC_001 to flash any stock rom but it gave me update package is too old or something like that i don't remember, i tried another stock rom it gave cid error
I tried to install custom rom (LeeDrOiD_3D_V5.3.0), installation succeed but i'm still stuck in bootloop (i tried to flash boot.img after that, no result)
I have no idea what to do now if someone can help me, I'd be very grateful.
Sorry for my bad english :$

Your hboot has to be compatible with the kernel. The kernel has to be compatible with the firmware.
Since you are s-on, you need to find a rom whose kernel is compatible with your hboot and firmware.
sudo passwd root

My guess is you are trying to boot a newer rom on old firmware.

I couldn't find my rom
I read a thread that explain how to find the correct ruu for my mobile.
I should know my cid and it is HTC__001 but how can I know my software version if my mobile isn't booting

Hmm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245424
Appears you are trying to flash a GB rom onto ICS firmware. Never gonna work.
sudo passwd root

in order to know its CID, put the device into (fastboot usb) then try this command: fastboot getvar cid

So as usual like everybody does, i boot to recovery mode and selected the rom.
It shows that it has been installed successfully.
But after i reboot, it got stuck on the htc logo screen
I did try other rom but its a failure.
I search through the internet and nothing seems to be helping.
So i decided to unroot back and install stock rom.

Maybe it will work if you try 4EXT recovery, i have great experience with it. maybe you can post the thread links of the roms you downloaded. or give some more information about your phone and the followed steps while trying to install the rom.

Are you on GSM? I don't think you should use these if on GSM but here is a link for all the RUUs, etc for E3d on sprint. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/2154352-post28.html.
Also, if you're getting stuck on boot, you should always try to wipe everything( factory reset, cache, dalvik cache). this usually will fix errors on boot.
Lastly, I find HTCEvoHacks to be a dangerous site unless you already know what you're doing: my opinion.
Good luck!

find your particular RUU but please do a bit of research before doing anything more.

You are S-ON now right? So if you want run moded ROM, you must flash kernel with fastboot after installation of the ROM.
If you want to S-OFF the phone :
You can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471246
But it looks that you need working ROM before this....

[Q] How to downgrade the new HBOOT ?

I just upgrade to the new hboot. I'm s-off.
Any solutions yet ?
I can't flash some ROMs.. help help !
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
CDMA or GSM? What Roms are you trying to flash?
If you are trying to flash GB Roms or aosp based Roms with the new hboot, you will get bootloops unless you downgrade the hboot.
Read, Search, Read again, ... Then Ask with Tapatalk 2

just download zip file and place in the root of your sd card and rename it to PG86IMG.zip then boot into bootloader, hboot will update just hit volume up when prompted

[Q] Update Revolutionary Bootloader

So I have an HTC Evo 3D with changed motherboard(That means that i cannot unlock the HTC method) and recendly I accomplished to downgrade it with the Ultimate Recovery Tool and unlock it with revolutionary. This means that I am in HBOOT 1107 with S-OFF,rooted and 4ext recovery...I managed to install 1 or 2 ROMs succesfully but when i tried to install Viped3D and an other one that uses Aroma and have sence in them they stuck in Boot screen...
I searched a bit and I figured out than i have to update my HBOOT...
Can anyone tell me if i am right and if i am how to do it without losing my unlock and root and without bricking my phone...
Thank You
Revolutionary hboot shouldn't be giving you problems with viper rom. you can try by changing hboot to 1.49.0007 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906172
But before you do just want to make sure that before you did this unlock method was your hboot 1.53 or an older hboot?
---------- Post added at 06:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ----------
The reason i'm asking if you had hboot 1.53 is that most roms require the newer firmware: http://d-h.st/Mf1
This isnt a problem if in the past you had updated to ics(1.53 hboot) using RUU or official update. if you went from 1.49.xxxx to revolutionary then you need this for roms to boot

[Q] Help , S-Off-ing on 1.53 hboot

I got An Evo 3D which is :
1)- Updated over the air to ics 4.0.3 .
2)- Unlocked , the htcdev.com method.
3)- Rooted with custom rom (sensai rom) installed .
4)- hboot 1.53.007
>>> i want to s-off it to multiboot Sensai Rom with CM10.2 Rom ... as i know i have to downgrade to 1.49 hboot .
for downgrading i need to download PG86IMG.zip but the link given in the instruction taken me to http://lnx.lu/0JRr Link Which is not giving me a download link to the file !
- I got a backup of the official 4.0.3 firmware with i downloaded over the air , can i use it instead of downloading the PG86IMG.zip ??
-And in case it wont work ... i searched the net for other sources of the PG86IMG.zip and i found on file crop but there's alot files with the same name and different sizes , "http://www.filecrop.com/pg86img.zip.html" is it the 373.78 MB File ?

What ROM are you trying to install?
Where did you get it?
Did you check the MD5 to see if the download was corrupt?
What custom recovery are you using and the version #?
Are you using Win 7, Win 8.1, Mac or Linux?

There have been issues with that RUU according to crustalot's site. However, since it looks like you have a lower version number I would try RUU 3.17.502.3 first. Then you could just receive the OTA updates to upgrade your phone to 4.4.2.

The 4.18.502.7 RUU will work just flash the firmware first
it's here >> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407580581
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
RUU confusion
If I have TWRP installed as my recovery, can I use a RUU file to take me back to stock? Or do I need to remove thw TWRP recovery? If I need to remove the customer recovery, is there an easy way to do that?
