[Q] Putting Widgets in Notification Drawer - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.I want to ask if there's any app that can let me put widgets in the notification drawer.I'd love to have there widgets like weather, calendar and so on because my screens are filled up with them and they take too much space,so having them in one single place would be better.By widgets I don't mean "toggle widgets",I mean widgets installed from the market.I'm currently running CM9.Thanks and have a nice day!

Still nobody?

Like the "iPhone"?
Don't think its possible.

I have discovered a few apps that place their "widgets" in the notification drawer so it's not impossible. Here are some market links:

Actually, those aren't widgets, are simply notifications. There aren't any way to put a real widget in the notification drawer. If the developer wish something like that, then he should program it using a service and normal notifications.

Maybe Jelly Beans new notifactions could have some impact on this.

I really want high resolution UI
I hate black background in android
I want something like miui ROMs or iPhone UI

[APP, ROOT] TabletBar Hider - fullscreen in Honeycomb, no system bar!

Hey Guys!
I just wanted to mention here that I made a new app you guys might like. It lets you hide the tablet/system bar when in landscape mode! A lot of people have complained about not being able to do that, so I just wanted to point my app out here. I'm not really clear on the rules for duplicate posts for stuff like this, so I'll just link to the original thread in the general paid apps section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16850588
I tested this on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest update, so if you have that it should work. Though hopefully it works on all honeycomb tablets! I'm still trying to get my hands on some others...
thanks for sharing

Instead of completely eliminating it could make the background transparent to the system bar?

[Q] How to keep notifications in status bar until SMS or e-mail read?

I would like to make the notifications stay on my status bar until I actually read the SMS or the e-mail. There are times where I don't have time to read a long e-mail or answer a test at that instant but I would like to be reminded to read it later by leaving the notification on the status bar.
As soon as I open the SMS app or the e-mail or gmail app, the notification goes away.
For bonus points: any way to have the number of unread messages next to the icon in the menu? I found one way to do it for sms but it's a widget and I prefer having my icons on a dock.
Just putting this out there: I would love to have this for Gmail and Google Voice as well.
I'm so sorry for this poor answer but sassibob did a review for an app that let you set reminders in your status bar, in don't remember the name of it tho
Swyped from just about every ROM in the HD2 section

Why open the SMS app if you're not going to read it?
Anyway, use GoLauncher or LauncherPro or Launcher 7 if you want a little number next to the SMS app to tell you how many unread messages are present. You can't get this for Gmail because Google axed the API, and you won't find it for Google Voice either as far as I know.
Thanks guys! Will check those out!

On my old phone I used to leave them unread so that the notification was there to remind me to answer them later. LauncherPro did exactly what I wanted! Now if only it did that for the app drawer too...
He actually left one out, adw launcher also leaves the numbers of unread SMS,email, and other stuff, but you must download adw notifier along with the launcher

Adw sucks IMO though, plus you need the launcher plus an addon..

Adw is awesome the addon means nothing it still functions plus adw has more customizations. Lp is great also, but u have to pay for donate to resize widgets, also adw lets u change icons natively

I tried out the ADW notifier and the problem remains that the number goes away as soon as you launch the messages app or e-mail even if you don't open the message. LP wins this battle. Plus, I have a clean home screen so widgets don't apply to me personally

[Q] Simple text only bookmark widget

Hi
I am using ICS with Nova Launcher.
I miss the old bookmark widget in Launcher Pro Plus, I used it in text only mode with a transparent skin and it looked good.
The bookmark widget that comes in ICS is ok but I want something with just a scrollable list of the bookmark names. I have looked at a few different apps on the market and they are mostly thumbnails of the webpage
any suggestions on a good app to use for this, am willing to pay a couple of bucks for a decent one
thank you =)

[Q] Favorite apps for modding your homescreen

Hey Guys,
I'm looking for some cool apps & widgets to mod my homescreen.
Right now, I'm using Apex launcher (I think that's the best out there), Minimal Text, Widgetsoid and Recast (Look for it on XDA; It's a weather/clock-widget).
Furthermore, I'm using Widgetlocker for my Lockscreen, because I was sick of the standard HTC-Theme.
Now tell me your favorite Apps
Best regards

LGOG Screenshot Thread

[EDIT] Mods, please delete! Did not notice existing screenshot thread until I had posted this. (I searched for screenshot, but the thread author titled the thread with "screen shot")
My current configuration:
Rooted
Project FreeGee v0.5
[ROM] The Base v0.5
All Homescreen apps displayed via Folder Organizer
GO Launcher EX default theme (UI 3.0)
GO Weather EX
Grid size 6x4
The travel, listen, productivity, and android folders are scrollable to access more apps within those folders.
I have less than 20 days of experience on Android, so if anybody has any advice about how I can make this more functional, I'm all ears. I do have one question...How do I remove the two battery indicators in the notifications of my status bar? I don't need three indicators on my status bar!
Geebus I've never seen that many icons on a phone screen.

I tried out different things with folders, but I ultimately decided that what I wanted most out of a smartphone was the ability to access any app as fast as possible. After all, why buy a phone as fast as this one if I'm going to have to spend 4 seconds navigating to whichever app I want to use?
After unlocking, it takes a maximum of one swipe, one scroll, and one tap to open any app. The vast majority of apps simply take one swipe and one tap to open. I used most of these apps on the iPhone for so long that I'm familiar enough with the icons that labels aren't necessary and only take up valuable screen real estate.
