hello everyone,
I recently find that my s3 which is on LH1 4.0.4 is charging very slow,
so I decided to upgrade it to the latest firmware, hope for some fix.
I upgraded it to LI5 4.1.1 few days ago, but the problem got worse
now I can't even charge my phone! Both usb and the original ac charger.
Anyone experience the same problem with me?
Or can anyone help me to solve this annoying problem?
thanks a lot, and sorry for my bad english

Try charging with phone switched off.
That worked for me once.
Some resource intensive task is draining your battery simultaneously it seems.

Maybe try some battery calibration tools from google play first?. I had similar issue when using google maps.. battery drop from 40% to 15% after restart, (but no shutdowns, app just crashed). I used battery calibration tool and so far so good -JB 4.1.2 NEE
Sorry for speling mistakes. I wasn't using English since school:angel:

Hello guys. I bought a Galaxy Note i717 from ebay a few weeks ago. I planned to use it as a spare phone, so I normally kept it at home for my nephew to play videogames or used it for work, always on airplane mode connected to wifi. Two week ago I started using it with a sim card and I noticed the battery drains really fast. I purchased two OEM batteries thinking it might be a problem with the battery, but it wasn´t. Battery holds for approximately 4 hours with normal use. I tried a factory reset but it didn´t worked at all.
Phone is running stock 4.1.2 since I got it. I was thinking on rooting and installing a custom rom and kernel, but I am wondering if it is some hardware issue because in come cases I´ve noticed the phone is a little bit overheated even without using it to much.
Any advices? Should I try the custom rom or did I lost my money?
When the Note was updated to 4.1.2 Jellybean alot of users complained of rapid battery drain. There are some great roms out there..Bigfu or Ptrm3..just search development. I have tried them all and they all have something to offer. The developers here are great for us average users who sit back and wait for a new rom. The At&t update was horrible for me used it one day then switched to custom rom.

You mentioned that the problem started since you put a sim in it. Could the problem be that you are in a weak service area and the phone is constantly searching for a better connection? That can kill a battery quickly without using the phone.

That´s the moment I started noticing the battery drain because that´s when I was using the phone regularly. Before that, I just left it at home for my nephew to play some games or just used it for sending some work emails at home, so I never noticed if the battery was running out fast or not.

I didn´t knew anything about the users complaining after 4.1.2 update. I will take a try with a custom rom, I hope that is the real problem and not a hardware problem.

I see we have the same problem. I upgraded to 4.1.2 just when I got it, so I can´t tell if the upgrade was the cause of the battery drain. I will try flashing a custom rom.

The app BetterBatteryStats can probably help you.
Hello! Not a long ago I've upgraded my ROM to Stockish 4.4.2. And I noticed the battery getting drained much faster than it was before. Tried to look what is going on and found out the Bluetooth taking 43% of the battery. Does somebody has this problem or it is just me?
Maybe you can give me advice how to fix it?
Thank you!

Go to app manager, clear Bluetooth share app cache, unpair all devices, reboot, re-pair, turn off Bluetooth antenna when not using.
See if that helps.

Hi there.
My english is not perfect but ill try be specific.
My phone:
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300
Android: 5.1.1
ROM: 12.1-20150816-UNOFFICIAL-i9300
Kernel: Boeffla-Kernel-4.0-alpha11-CM12.1-NG-i9300-20150817 with Boeffla Config V2
My problem started when i changed the battery.
First was original samsung battery.
Now is this: QOLTEC i9300 3.7V 3100mAh
After replace battery my phone itself restarts (full restart). After 3 hours looking on him i counted 9 restarts.
Second problem is power off when plugin charger. Ofcourse charging is fine but i need to power on it himself.
Any ideas how fix this?
Thanks everyone for help.

hm problems started wth new battery so I suggest you use another battery...
try to use your old battery again, if the problem persists.
if yes your new battery is faulty and you should look for a more qualitative replacement.

You sure u dint mess up with Boeffla Kernel Settings? Mine restarts if i Undervolt or overclock the CPU too much.
Problem solved. Reflash rom and kernel with full format.
