[Q] Newbie question: Are all the Rezounds ready for global gsm?(Esp. US Tmobile))

I'm considering buying a Rezound since I just happened to know that it could run on US T-mobile today. I was looking to buy one on Ebay however, I'm not sure if all the Rezounds are ready for GSM since it's hidden and claimed not existed. I'm currently using T-mobile and hoping it could work.
Please excuse me I didn't find such post in the forum.
Look a couple posts down for a 400+ thread about this

Rezound using XDA Premium
Simple answer is all Rezounds have the radios. Getting it to work may be another story.

Hey guys, well it doesn't look like another amaze is in y future, but im getting a rezound to replace my work phone (my dx) . Has any one here had any experience, opinions?
How's the 4g lte? I know I could have posted in the resound forums, bit I wanted to see if anyone has switched to or from big red, and went from amaze to rezound or vice versa..

TMobile doesn't have lte. So if the resound is att it would be best to ask elsewhere.

Yes. Having been a tmo customer for over 12years I am well aware of that thanks though lol.
The rezound is a Verizon phone fyi.
I was just wondering what if any experiences amaze owners have had .

Just check gsmarena, pretty sure they have a review on it, they have a review on just about every phone and pretty solid at that, they tell you as it is, if that battery life sucks, they say so flat out.
I've used one before cause I was thinking about going to Verizon. It has a slighter higher resolution (720x1280) but the picture quality is pretty much identical. The LTE network is very fast but unfortunately it will put quite a drain on the battery if you leave it on. That's one of the reasons I went with the HTC Amaze since HSPA+ is about as fast as Verizon's LTE... and no battery drain.
Oh yeah it has Beats audio but its just software and can be flashed to the Amaze if your phone is rooted.

Lte NYC

Looks like they flipped the switch today. This was at the 125th street stop on the 1 train. Hope that the slow LTE speed was due to me being in a moving train.

This should be posted In this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1770718
There really is no point in starting a new one.

I get the point of your reply. I also think that for the NYC folk, it works be easier to have city specific threads. None of us like sifting through posts. Not a retort, merely something to think about.

No one likes scrolling thru clutter thru 20 different threads about the same thing just to find one thread either.

The more you post in the other thread, the more likely it is to be on the top, and the less threads you have to sift through to find it.

There is a search box for searching within a specific thread. Searching in that thread for "NYC" or "New York City" will yield the results you're looking for. Multiple threads have been created for specific cities, and they're all closed. Look at it this way. If Sprint has 100 cities their lighting LTE up in over the next few months, then that means every LTE phone section will have more than 100 of these little threads starting. It's much easier to consolidate it, considering XDA's primary existence isn't for talking about when you're getting LTE.
A city hit with a hurricane gets LTE faster than Florida.. Bravo Sprint, Bravo.. All joking aside, congrats on the LTE now IB4L

And if you searched you'd see the numerous LTE threads locked as we can't have 1000s for each city or even by state when they get signal... The clutter would be insane here.
So please stick within the already open LTE threads as others suggested.

What is Ib4l.

I posted my 4g in middleburg and someone was like congested and others where like y u steal 4g. Ib4l. Is it the in before locked.... How did they know it was going to get locked and why?

In before lock. The reason it was locked was because there is already a thread to post in when new LTE coverage pops up. Think about it this way, if everybody posted every time LTE goes live somewhere, this forum would be full of those posts. Having one thread to deal with keeps everything nice and neat.

That will go away after a certain number of posts (can't remember exactly how many). There are limitations placed on new accounts to deter spammers.

Did you follow the guide to unlocking your phone for use on other networks? If so did you add all the APN's for T-Mobile?
I highly doubt you will get LTE in T-Mobile unless you live in one of the 8 cities they're testing it out in which are:
Denver
Las Vegas
Kansas City
New Orleans
New York
San Diego
San Jose
Seattle
If you live in one of those cities then it is possible you could get LTE through T-Mobile if the VZW Note 2 has the correct radios that can work on T-Mobiles LTE bands.
My best advice is that you should post in the thread that has the instructions for unlocking for user on other networks. It depends on how you unlocked the phone to use it on other networks, what APN's you've added and if there are others that can/need to be added, and if your area has LTE or if it just has 3G or HSPA+.
Sorry for not being more helpful.

I am a little unsure if it would be ok to flash a VZW modem seeing as how that is a T-Mobile phone, that area is a littlr foggy to me. Really the best place to ask would be that thread, I am not trying to be rude at all. Just saying thats where the people who know the most about that check for questions. Kinda like you ask questions about roms in the specific rom thread.
Whenever you get an answer come back to this thread and update it, I have seen this question posted a few different times and have never seen the answer so if you would update it it would be very informative for me so maybe next time this pops up I can give a definite answer.

Thanks for clearing that up, at some point I got that turned around.
I would think that there is probably nothing you can really do in this situation..... There is a chance that flashing one of the new VZW radios and then resetting everything up for T-Mobile might make it better. I HIGHLY doubt it though.
The only other things I can thing that might help would be flashing a T-Mobile rom or T-Mobile radio instead of the VZW rom and radio. That could possibly brick your phone though or cause you to get absolutely no service whatsoever, I really wish that there was more info on this subject.
Whenever you get an answer from the other thread please either post it here or PM it to me so I will know next time how to help the people in your situation.

T-Mobile for me is every easy. What I did was first unlock it using CASUAL (thanks Adam) then I just flashed it with CleanRom ACE edition.
If I plan to stay with that network, I'd choose T-mobile as carrier and never had a problem with it. If you have WIFI issue, reflashing it with Verizon carrier will fix that also.
