Last 10 days I had this problem of softkeys not working(due to probable digitiser problem) and virtaually mt Atrix was unuasable. Thanks to v-stromer http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4634654 I was able to locate the following application
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...gle&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=button+savior which simulates the soft keys and now I am able to work with the ATRIX even without changing the digitiser.
Hope this helps others also who have similar problems

my phone is an at&t branded phone.
I've been searching on this forum and it seems that any rom installed on an at&t phone will cause the function keys to be mapped wrong.
I also found that there is a fix for kaisers.. but I cant find one for the 8525.
Does anyone know how I can fix this on my 8525?
nobody else has this problem?
I had the same problem, and I just got used to where the FN buttons actually were, as opposed to where they were supposed to be. Then I installed MRH 8.2 Sun Shower, and in AdvancedConfig, under Keyboard, it gave the option to map the keyboard to AT&T/Cingular.
Now the FN keys are mapped properly, and I'm hitting all the wrong punctuation again.
hi
can anyone please help me?
i have had an atrix for almost a year now and have had no issues with it. recently i took a big step and decided to get the cm10 rom by th3bill onto my atrix!
all worked fine for a few weeks until about a week ago. i noticed that my lockscreen pattern wasnt entering as normal. the pattern would not connect to the dots i wanted it to. on the main screen if i tap on the central button to get to the menu for my apps it will automatically respond my touch to the right/left icon and take me onto my contacts/sms instead. also while typing certain letters e.g "t" will not be recognised and instead "r" will show up instead.
somehow i managed to remove my pattern lock but the other issues are still present.
i thought that it may be a bug with the rom so i decided to go back to cm7.2 which was running perfectly on the phone thinking that this may be the solution, but even that rom is now giving me the same problem :crying:
can someone please advise me as to what the problem is/what i should do?
thnx in advance

I replaced my digitizer and the dead zone changed position. So know that replacing the digitizer might help or might not help...
Good luck

Hello, I have an otherwhise functional motorola photon, but the hard keys (home, menu, back and search) are not working, they light up but they do not work, at all, so as soon as any app is opened there is no going anywere else...I did a factory reset and a hard factory reset but nothing changed...
its 2.3.5 so I was not able to do an rsd flash to see if the issue is software related, but I am fairly sure it is hardware related. A friend told me it can be one of the little cristals that controls the keys, does someone has a drawing of the board that identifies at least the area that this controller is located? thanks in advance for your help!
[Q] Touch screen decalibrated. Not hardware issue
Hi everybody! I own a cellphone Sesonn C2000 (mt6582), and like all cheap chinese phones, it has no support at all, so I'm very frustrated with this problem. My problem is that after a failed try to flash a custom recovery for it, using SP flash tools, touch screen didn't respond, and after a while began to respond but touches were very decalibrated. At principle, I thought it was a hardware issue, so I tried all advices about it: knocking gently the screen, putting cell phone into freezer, long pressing power button, and nothing of that worked (and now thinking, lucky me that cell phone didn't break by those actions) At the end, I decided to open it and watch by myself if it was something bad inside, but all was ok at sight. I also could see that the touchscreen's IC, is a goodix gt915. But what convinced me that issue wasn't a hardware issue, was that I tried, to flash another rom, that in another similar phone caused a similar issue, and touches changed their behavior as a I expected. I don't know much about it but i've read, that problem happens by flashing a wrong kernel (kernel inside a recovery or system. img), and by wrong kernel, I mean a kernel with a bad embedded touchscreen configuration. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway! I've tried touch recalibrate app, tscalibration2, htc calibration, touch screen calibration, none of them worked; I've tried many proposed adb batch files to fix that problem, tried to reconfigure tpd_def_calmat file, and nothing. Even I'm exploring an app called gtp adb tool from goodix company, but despite I've translated to english all what exe lets to translate, still left many items on chinese (I used resource hacker, and all that it let me to change, I translated it) and, not being enough all that, there are too much technical items on it, and its manual, oh surprise: It's in chinese! ... Anyway!
Going to the point, I understand that must be a misconfiguration of the touchscreen, so, how must I reconfigure it? or if you see I'm totally lost on my search ¿what can I do to recover my touch screen? beforehand thanks whom can help me.
PS1: Fortunately, more knowing it's a cheap one, this phone has OTG support, so I still can control it, but I miss its touch function so please help me.
PS2: Apologize me any fault on my english. I'm a spanish speaker.

Hello, I recently rooted my phone and replace the screen at the same time. So I don't know which one caused this problem, but now my flashlight doesn't work, and my twist for the camera doesn't work. Also the three finger screenshot doesn't work. It's unfortunate because these three features are why I stick with Motorola as I absolutely love them. I've tried apps and they just don't work as good as Moto's stock gestures period does anyone know what would have caused it so I can try to figure out a workaround
I rooted my Moto G9 Power and it and I had the same problem!! Only the physical buttons work, I couldn't find img in Recovery. It turned on normally but does not leave the unlock screen because it does not recognize a finger on the screen and fingerprint! I managed to restore the device with the original program of the device, on the website, I downloaded the "Rescue and Smart Assistant" !! You only need to register your e-mail, and the 'imei' of the device! It downloads and installs the rom by itself!! Fantastic ! Hope this helps !
