Best kernel for battery life - HTC EVO 3D

Hey guys im on ICS on the evo 3d which kernel can i get to get the best battery life im using coolexe kernel i think the battery life is bad anything better reply please EVO 3D GSM.

Yes, but it's also dependent how you personally use your phone, average battery use for me ranges from 4 hrs with heavy use, 8 -10 hours under normal daily use or 14-18 with very little useage, is your evo gsm?

Yeah man i got the evo 3d GSM mine cant last 1-2 hours with heavy use.. i dont think i use my phone a whole lot i got Facebook , twitter , Google, weather, whatsapp syncing for 1 hour. and i keep my brightness quite low and i overclocked it to 1.5 ghz (1512 mhz to be exact) what would you recommend ? thanks for the reply

Should last 4 hrs with heavy use, have you tried a new battery, also stop oc your cpu, that alone will drain your battery, suggest trying anryl kernel and see if your battery last longer

Best Rom currently for battery

I have a Rogers htc evo 3d
I rooted and s-off yesterday, I am currently using king cobra 1.6 rom, battery life seems to drop pretty quick, what's the best ROM for battery life? An I best going back to stock?

I have used, several roms and have found kings ROM best for reception. As for your battery question. The longer the ROM is used the better the battery gets. I use my EVO for everything, torrents, email, text, calls and just playing around and get a full 18 to 24 hours of use.
Hope this helps.

CDMA Sprint (USA) Evo 3D Roms won't work with the GSM Evo 3D. I would recommend LeeDroid 2.0.
I found that Warm TwoPointThree (link in my signature) does pretty well and that's what I use, but I do think Infected Eternity had better battery life. I still use Warm though because I like the ROM better and the difference isn't that noticable.
Additionally, if you don't really mind going AOSP, Cyanogenmod 7 (in the development thread) has the best battery life of all.

Markdexter has the GSM Evo 3D, which isn't compatible with Sprint ROMs.
Amazing rom
Great rom but what is the CS Engine UI for?
I am currently using ViperRom RC Test 4 with lock screen fix and this is the first time i have ever gotten 15h 21m 16s on the standard EVO 3D battery. I am a heavy user but didn't use like i normally do since i was home yesterday.

I went from Eternity to warm and i went from 9-12 hours(stock battery) & 20-28 hours(3500 mAh Trexcell battery) to 5(Stock battery) & 10 hours(3500 mAh). That's notable to me. I went back to Eternity this morning after i noticed the battery and warm started these errors.
FC bugs everywhere, then soft boots, and eventurally stuck at boot screen.
I'm a loving the Ava modified V1.
My stats below for usage. I only seek battery life and man I love it.
Cheers

that's interesting because I thought Warm was just ok for battery life..and infected eternity drained my battery faster than anything. Maybe I didn't give either enough time. I like Infected better but that is why I switched.
if ur getting that kind of battery life its worth trying out. ^^^^^^^^ I read the OP Dev has not answered in a while. What kernel do u have installed in ur set up 2 get those kind of stats? I don't want a faster phone i want good battery life.
Not sure what ROM. Currently installed Olympus Trinity XE Prime. It runs good and battery worked pretty well even though there were only six hours left of my day before I went bed.
Can you be more specific about what exactly you're looking to do and how you use your phone. I personally use my phone a lot for the heavy texting, web browsing (not on 4G don't have Sprint 4G here but somehow in the surrounding towns and Boston), an occasional phone call. I also have a twitter account syncing every hour, a facebook account syncing every hour, and push gmail. Heck I even use a live wallpaper and still get good battery life as well as 25% screen brightness.
One tip I can offer is if you don't use stuff like picasa web albums, constantly add new contacts, or use google calender, you can go into settings>accounts and sync>gmail and uncheck sync contacts, sync calender, etc except for sync gmail. Even in the twitter and facebook apps, if you don't like to integrate contacts you can uncheck syn c contacts for both. Those things seem to extend battery life as your phone isn't constantly syncing things you don't need.
I forgot to leave out I leave my 4G off on my stats cause I have zero towers in my area. Its kind of crazy sprint is dropping 4G handsets in 2012. Just read that earlier today.

I believe the opposite. As i stated before Warm cut my battery life so much compared to eternity. Did you try flashing the ext4 tweaks because it is a performance and battery help.

Mikrunny has been the best rom i've used on the 3vo bar none, it won't allow you to play 3D games but that's pretty much the only fault which could bother you, oh and wifi dropping, but if your CDMA it shouldn't affect you.
Meanrom without anthrax kernel will give you good battery life.
I've become quite a fan of Clean ROM.

Mikrunny +1....with regular texting (couple hundred in a day) and tuned down to 1.2ghz from 1.5ghz with antutu, I'm getting about 30-40 hrs of constant running without putting on charger...that's full charge to about 5% battery...

I am going to try 1 rom for a week. And stay with the best rom that my evo feels good
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
I am using Mikrunny I have got a max of 35 hrs from a full charge to 57% remaining charge with light usage in default configuration (at 1.5gHz). That is highest for me
It isn't the Rom that provides good battery life its the kernal

A good Battery Saving Rom

Ok, I was wondering if there was a nice and stable Battery saving Rom for Evo 3D CDMA. Nice camera and music. And battery saving.
I'm going to the beach and a nice Camera for taking pictures. And music to listen while on the road. Battery saving because later that day I'll be going to a wedding.
HTC EVO 3D CDMA
S-OFF hboot 1.4
OTA ICS Firmware Bits.
4ext Recovery.
Good luck, with all that useage, no rom will last longer than 8 hrs, suggest you charge your battery in a car or buy an extra battery from ebay for about $4

I disagree. What you should do is go to MeanROM ICS, install the MAC Kernel, download antutu cpu master from the playstore, underclock to 600 or 700Mhz, change the governor to Smartass V2, and change the I/O scheduler to noop. That should give you pretty good battery life. Here are the links. MeanROM.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645211 And the MAC Kernel.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767568
REMEMBER TO HIT THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:good:

Best thing to do is turn the brightness down as low as you can stand it.. That helps alot... On battery life..

Could someone please help me out?

I really want to get a evo but I'm worried about the battery life. I do 2 things on a smartphone:
-Listen to music
-browse the web
I do this non stop until the battery runs out. Can someone tell me what battery life/ screen time you get when doing this.

In my experience the battery life on the EVO LTE is great, but it varies more than other phones I've used, based on how I use it. graphics-intensive games and other apps that keep the screen on and run the processor at the same time use it the most. You can do plenty of web browsing provided you keep the screen brightness halfway down, I use the automatic setting and don't notice much battery drain when browsing, but if you turn the brightness to it's highest setting you'll definitely notice more battery drain. I love the 4.7" screen but there's no way a screen that big isn't going to draw a lot of power with the backlight turned up. As for streaming music, that's no problem. I've listened to pandora for hours at a time with the screen off and only seen single-digit drops in battery percentage.
bro i thought the same thing cause u cant remove the battery.. but let me tell u i get great battery life out this phone... i had the og evo and the evo 3d.. and now evo lte.. this phone kicks major a$$!!!!!!

I use mine heavily for many graphics and radio intensive applications, and routinely get 14 or more hours on a charge. GPS is the one thing that will drop me below that. My brother has a galaxy s3 and gets much less.
I use meanrom, overclocked.

I for one think that the battery life sucks on this phone. But I only can compare to the phone i had before the droid x from verizon, I could go 24 hours on the droid x but on the evo I get around 16 on normal everyday usage. now suppose I came from the evo or evo 3d phones and had a phone with that drained the power off the phone then I would be saying this phones battery rocks.
but with that all being said 16 hours on a smart phone really is not that bad.

Max battery life ROM?

ICS or GB doesn't matter...
I have a CDMA Evo since that will make a difference.
I'm currently lucky to get 3.5hours screen on in a typical day, that's with underclocking.
No rogue apps running around stealing datas. Just your typical screen sucking down the juice.
I have found underclocking and limiting CPU freq to 810 helped a lot.
But only 3 hours screen on is ridiculous. I need help. Serious help.
I keep screen on minimum brightness all the time too...
3.5 hours of screen on time is great for this phone with stock battery.

Not to sound mean about it, but there's no way with stock battery unless you're in airplane mode or some other shenanigans. Pics or it didn't happen.
I'm on airplane mod with Wi-Fi on and 50% brightness and my clock is at 1Ghz instead of 1.2Ghz
