Hey Guys, MY MT15 can't play flash with any browers(i use chrome/opera and also make sure the plus-ins is enable) but i have installed the newest adobe flash player. Could someone help me~
PS: the system is ICS4.0 for NEO V and has install the camera patch for NEO
Use the standard browser mate, maybe that helps, mine is supported and can play adobe flash player, weird that is not working by yours.
Sent from my Neo V with supercharged ICS ^^
Have you downloaded from market ?(maybe it's not included in rom). i also have MT15i with Neo V ICS,and Xperia Neo camera patch, and it's working without any issues.

thanks both of you!
After flash the NEO V.ftf, i did not find the adobe flash player installed in my phone ,so i download it from market. and I have tested it with opera mobile/mini/chrome but none of them work(broke heart).
PS: i do root the system and delete some apps.
However, i find the way to make good use of HTLM5 browser and it seems work for a while.
From what i know, opera mini and chrome does not support flash.i don't know about opera mobile, but i recommend to use Dolphin Browser HD or native browser, which is much more smooth than in gingerbread.
It does suppport.use the native browser.opera mini doesn't suuport flash

Greetings all, I have an Xperia Neo which was running Android 2.3.4 which was running moderately slow. Hence I installed CM9 custom rom.
To do so, I flashed boot.img file using fastboot command using command prompt on my phone and then booted my phone in CWM. Took back up of my current Rom and then installed CM9 rom and recommended apps zips. I tried this rom for 2-3 days and had awesome experience. But it lacks in camera quality, xloud, gesture input etc so I thought to have another custom Rom.
My friend recommended me Xperia Pureness by thilinaC. To have this rom on my phone, firstly I flashed Night-Elf's kernel named Alliance Lite v1.4 using fastboot command on command promp as instructed by ThilinaC. Then booted my phone pressing volume rockers and installed Xperia pureness build 11 and patch for my neo. Tested this rom too but disappointed with it's camera, video recording, 3d camera quality etc. Rest everything is smooth and fast but I am so obsessed with photography so can't compromise over image quality. My Stock rom's camera, video recording etc was awesome. These 2 roms just couldn't beat its quality so far.
Hence now i decided to go back to the old kernel and rom where I will compromise on speed of operation but I ll get excellent music, bravia, xloud and super image quality.
So please tell me, how can I revert my neo back? i would be very grateful to u all
Thanks in advance
Flash any Gingerbread kernel. Recommend: Night-Elf's kernel for GB, and restore the backup you took before flashing CM9.
Also if you want top start fresh, download a Gingerbread ftf file from the thread in General section by @Madfysh. Download flashtool and read instructions on how top use flashtool. After the flashing process, you'll have stock GB. I recommend flashing a custom kernel to gain root and download superuser from market and update binary

Even i wanted to revert back to original stock for all your same reasons..but i did a little research and found out a fix for the purple images problem in custom rom, for my NEO. I flashed that zip file in Pureness rom, and voila that purplish effect was removed. And for your info JJ rom uses stock camera, the original sony one! And all other features like XLoud, Bravia engine works in both the roms. For improved experience with camera recording you can flash the camera libs from the new ICS .587 fw..it increases the frame rate..
u can find the cam libs here....

and for the camera patch; sorry i am not able to find the link now..i have the downloaded file..and i am a noob on uploading the files. Please take the pleasure in finding the patch :silly:

Well, thanks buddy. And yeah Pureness has xLoud and Bravia but I think they are not like Stock rom. Stock rom's xloud is clear and loud and u can feel the bravia of stock rom surfing pictures. Other thing is Stock rom Music player is so nice, i like the voice quality than of pureness. Well, these custom roms are good if u want something new for temporary, else stock roms are best. one of the reason to switch over custom rom was speed, ya i got the speed in custom rom but lost many imp things like music, camera, xloud, bravia which are golden features of stock rom. Wow.
anyways, I made my stock rom fast by rooting, removing bloatwares and having link2sd awesome app. Now i m loving my phone voila
Hello all,
Last time there has been a proper thread with opinions for best ROM in terms of performance has been about an year ago... And the list by THeLogiC is severely outdated...
I've been using x10forever's slimbean custom OS, and it's not bad at all. Some really cool features not in the stock OS and the interface looks very nice. But even with about 50MB of free RAM all the time, I've been stricken with some bugs and crashes (unresponsive popup every time, firefox beta being slow as a snail, not being able to watch videos on any video app, force restarting when using torrenting apps, etc....). I've just about had it. I need a new ROM.
But I have no idea where to look. So I ask you guys.
From what I can tell, custom ROMs by these users tend to be the most popular now:
-x10forevers
-Scritch007
-Achotjan
-FeraVolt
But each of these users have more than one ROM... Which one is the fastest and the best, performance-wise?
I'm under the impression that that ROMs based on the latest android version (JB) is the fastest-- is this true?
Are oodie-based roms the best, or CM10, or slimbean, or paranoidandroid, etc.?
I'd rather have speed and no unresponsive/force closure of apps rather than fancy features.
I don't really use games. I use android for basic apps, internet, photo360 app, video watching, listening to internet radio...
Which one should I try?
Please post your opinions here, and update it from time to time for any newcomers. All the threads on the android development subforum make my head spin...
My vote goes to " alzbac's DonutHD 2.2.9 "
It is smooth ( no lag at all), fast, stable and battery friendly.
Try out my ROM in my signature below
most of gaming ROMs are good in speed and performance..
but i recommend the zetralab v3.3 rom since i find it very stable..
Thank you all.
Any other input from anyone else?
Edit: What is zetralab rom? I can't find it.

If one considers 720p videos with AC3 audio (I have other phones with HDMI) as part of a performance package, then one can not go any further than stock GB 2.3.3 firmware derivatives. I am not aware of any ICS or JB ROM for the XPERIA X10i that support 2D HW acceleration for the Adreno 200.
I have .mkv 720p (H264,AC3) videos that playback well on the XPERIA X10 using modified GB 2.3.3 via BSPlayer or MX Player Pro.
I also play Standard Definition(SD) TV and/or recorded TV on my XPERIA X10i via my NAS and this also plays will, but again requires 2D HW acceleration.
And even when CM10 gives AnTuTu scores of over 4500 and high 2D and 3D scores, it's software encoded and not HD encoding which is what counts when playing back 720p videos.
So for me 2D HW acceleration is part of any overall performance consideration, but this may not be high on everyone's list.
I would suggest DonutHD(I use my own stripped down GB 2.3.3 ROM and XPERIA S apps/home launcher) with maybe DoomKernel V6 as a 'solid' package and potential for good battery life, but maybe not in the performance category in the extreme sense.

So you're saying that there are no ICS or JB custom ROMs that support HW playback? Interesting, I didn't know that.
I will try DonutHD, it seems like a lot of people suggest it.

Yes you read correctly.
No Adreno 200 2D HW acceleration for videos and etc in anything other than GB 2.3.3 based ROMs or lower official Sony [Ericsson] builds.
That's what I believe to be the case due to the lack of source code for the Adreno 200 for ICS or JB builds.
I'd really love to be wrong and have a developer reply to my post and say the XPERIA X10i JB or ICS supports Adreno 200 2D HW acceleration.
Maybe one day. :fingers-crossed:
Thank you Dr Goodvibes for the info...

Now I installed DonutHD 2.9.9 with ferakernel, since it seems to be what people most recommended in the most recent posts. But when I used GB ferakernel v5.3, the phone doesn't load up, it boots but then only shows a dim black screen, so I guess it doesn't work...
Tried using doomkernel v06 not overclocked; this didn't work either, stuck at the doomkernel logo screen and nothing happens.
Can anyone help me do this? I don't know why it is not working... I never had this problem before.
I have unlocked bootloader.
try to wipe cache partition and dalvik cache
Of course, I did... I'm not a newbie. I have installed all sorts of ROMs before...
I did this:
-format SD card
-flash ferakernel
-go into xrecovery by holding side volume button, wipe cache, full wipe, wipe delvik cache, then install wifi drivers for ferakernel
- reboot then go into xrecovery. install first .zip for DonutHD 2.9.9
-reboot again, install second .zip for Donut HD
And then I just get stuck with a dim black screen after ferakernel logo.... :crying:
I installed feralab for now, but didn't recover any of my apps or data yet because I want to still use DonutHD....help please.
Still waiting...

I haven't used ferakernel myself, but I believe Feravolt provided a drivers zip file alongside the latest ferakernel. Flash it right after you flash the ROM.
Otherwise just use doomkernel v6.

If you're talking about using the JB version or the GB version, I am using the GB version of ferakernel, which matches with DonutHD...
I've been using feralab's rom and the kernel is working w/o problems, so I don't think the problem is with ferakernel... I'm going to try installing DonutHD one more time.
weird. I just reinstalled, did as I did before, and it worked.
Thank you everyone for helping. Will report if DonutHD is good or not for me.
So how is the DonutHD rom? I am personally more after phone functionality and battery life. Dont care about movies on this obsolete phone.

I think it's the fastest out of all, but I'm already experiencing some lagging. It's just the least worst out of all the ROMs I've tried.
I think my phone has moods. Sometimes it's in a bad mood and doesn't work at all, and sometimes it works perfectly.

Where i found the best , based of stock Gingerbread rom? I need 100% working and fast GB ( HW divix , wma , wmv decoders must working too!).

There is no best rom or fastest rom or best looking rom, you can try roms and choose what feels good for you.
Every developer is unique and his rom would reflect his likes.
If you want stable GB roms you can try oxygen or ginger snap or gingerdx , all of which I have used at some point of time, and keep what you like.

Hi to all XDA!
I have a simple ask, I'm using the .89 firmware (Xperia U), BL Unlocked and Rooted, from factory has 2.3.7 GB, but I don't like GB too much, so I unlocked BL and upgrade to .89 and Rooted, but after some weeks, it turns very laggy, specially in multitasking, so I need to reboot every night to speed up... After a weeks doing this, I decided to upgrade, and downloaded various Roms, but again a some weeks it turns laggy, with all roms except ShockGens, works perfect but don't have Cyber-Shot and Walkman don't work with equalizer (Apollo does); LED's bar work with a patch and Illumination Bar, I love this ROM but I want Cyber-Shot and Video Recording (it's close when stop recording). Download Music Info is not very important. Also Wi-Fi turns off while the phone is screen-off, solved with WiFi Keep Alive app.
I don't want to underestimate the works of developers, because all roms I tried are amazing, so I ask to us if .89 firmware is the correct to use, or recommend .54 / .100. I do not mind not having free RAM, while not have too much lag using WhatsApp, LINE and Walkman. Also Zello, Messenger (not FB app, the messenger only). ShockGens Rom works very smooth, Dialer and SMS lag is free, less than 1 second to open.
BTW, can someone tell me diferences between .54 - .89 and .100 diferences?
Sorry for very bad english, I follow too many works from Argentina, since I had a Defy to today (Xperia U).
Thanks in advance to all XDA !!
B.1.100 is the latest and smoothest of all Stock ROMs.
I would recommend you to flash Venezuela Xperia U MOD Rom which is based on B.1.100
Stock ROMs tend to become laggy while multitasking because it's process are already running + your own apps.
You can use RAM Manager Pro to help you manage RAM better.
