Thanks for replying. But many android devices support 3g dongle via usb. I want to know if s2 also supports or not.

At the moment I don't have otg cable in hand. I will buy one and experiment. But even then, i don't know what 3g dongle it will support if at all? I am having one tablet without 3g but it supports 3g dongle and I am able to enjoy Internet via dongle. That's why I am curious whether s2 will also support.

SGSII doesn't give full voltage for otg. I know it because some keyboards work and some doesn't

Thanks rayman112. I am specifically asking about usb 3g dongle. I don't use keyboard or mouse.

If you're interested in reception, then it will be the same. Signal strength will not be stronger.

There's always a way mate!
Detailed guide plus apps, both for phone and PC.
It's called reverse Android tethering
Also there's a stock app that can do that using usb, I think it was called something like settings

PS3 controller?

Can a PS3 be connected to the Evo LTE via sixaxis app? I know due to Sense the Evo 3d couldnt do it but I was wondering if that's changed on the Evo LTE.

You could have downloaded the Sixaxis compatibility app to answer your own question. The app says we are supported.

Sure I could have if I own the phone lol. That's why I asked.
Weighing out my options between buying this or SG3. But thanks for confirming. I'm glad its supported.
I tested it as soon as I got the phone. It works beautifully well. Be sure to use their PC tool to write your phone's Mac address to the controller since OTG usb is not supported by the stock kernel.

I used it on my Asus prime so I don't see why it wouldn't work on this phone if sixaxis is compatible as some are confirming.. You have to map your own buttons though. Unless someone is willing to share their maps with you. I had to reformat my internal memory so I lost the map I made for it. Anyway its really easy to do. I have created like 5 maps already for 5 different games.
Here's instruction I made a while back for GTA3

Sorry for bumping such an old thread but I can't get this going.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)I've downloaded the compatibility checker-that said all was good.
2)I've downloaded the sixaxis pair tool and entered the local bluetooth address for the controller and press update
3) I unplug the controller, the light goes from blinking red to solid red
4) I try to hit pair controller in the app and it says "No controller found-please connect via USB cable.
What does it want me to connect it to? The PC again? I've tried connecting both controller and phone to PC but that didnt seem to help
Scratch that, it started working

Are you saying that you cannot use USB to connect to the controller, you have to use the BT connection? That involves rooting the phone correct?

It's a feature only for HTC devices (precisely, it is a feature of Sense, the proprietary interface of HTC)

There is USB and Bluetooth tethering of your wifi or 3G connection. Thats internet passthrough to me. (Typing this while my S3 is connected via wifi, and both an iPad and Win7 laptop bleutooth tethered to my S3 using the S3 internet connection at the same time).

I guess he is talking about the way around. Internet of Laptop used by S3, I guess there are apps out there that can do this, e.g. mHotspot or connectify

Can I use a USB 4G router with the S3?

I have a Huawei E398 USB modem, can I connect it to my S3 via USB and share the internet to my tablet?

Hm.... as we know, it supports OTG, problem is, this thing isn't simple input device like mouse and keyboard... main question is, do you have proper driver of your USB router for android?

Ya exactl the same . What I also think you might need the drivers/ software to connect

Some Huawei modems seems to work with Android. If I turn sim lock off then I can cennect it to any usb router but a router might be different from a phone
I'm not sure if it is safe, because the modem can draw too much power from the S3. Your should try using an AC powered USB hub.
Man, you're asking a question and you're not in the Q&A section, doesn't that just feel wrong?

because we can't.
simply, we use wifi drivers in order to work tethering.

How wifi tethering and wifi together make any sence?
When your data is on and wifi is connected all trafic goes through wifi anyway?
There is simply no logical reason to have both of them on at the same time.
