I am trying to flash my Evo lte. Voice and Texts are working but i have no data at all and get error 67. I am unable to read or write NV items 466 or 1192 and get "DIAG Error Received: Invalid Parameter Error Response".. Any help would be AWESOME!
You need to give us a lot more info. What are you flashing, what hboot do you have, what is your flashing process, and any other info you can think of.

Im happy to give any information thats needed, ive been trying to figure this out for weeks.
I did an MEID repair on a Evo 4g LTE. Not getting any data at all, 1x or 3g
hboot 1.15
zeroed MEID, replaced it. Got calls and texts working, no data. Ive tried everything i could think of. Tried to read/write NV items but get the error I mentioned, tried to manually replace the NV item files using EF explorer, tried dfs.. nothing can right those items
The phone is brand new, doesnt have an activation date when i do ##786#, not sure if that matters.. I rooted and i threw on a custom rom hoping that would help... there was no APN in the phone, i added sprint APN..
im super lost here
Thanks again!

Sprint might need to provision it again? Long ago during the Evo 3D when we did S-OFF lots of users got that error i believe, and you had to call sprint and they did something on their end.

Possibly...not sure of the process though. The suggestion to call sprint is probably the quickest and easiest way to resolve it. Is there a reason you don't want to call Sprint?

Your Network Access Identifier (NAI) may be locked out from too many invalid attempts. This is common on Android phones since the data requests are so frequent and it only takes 10 invalid attmepts to get locked out. The lockout clears in 20 minutes if no further invalid attempts are captured by the network. Turn your phone off for 30 mintues to be sure, then retry.

Thanks Mat5t. When I turn off the EVO 4g LTE and turn on the EVO 4g donor data works fine... ALSO, another bit of info that may or may not be helpful. THe phone has never pulled an IP
Any other suggestions? I am open to trying anything

I've been up all night digging around my brain is fried and I can barely group words into complete sentences. I'll post some specifics after a hour or so of sleep, but one that drew me here was wanting to know if he was on ICS when he flashed? I'm just learning all of this and doing my best to understand it but are the placement of the information in the bc items standard or would a manufacturer change them? Anyway just thinking outloud. I'll post details when my brain can function properly.

Ok so last night I flashed OTA_Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_1.11.651.2_radio_0.97.00.0518_NV_SPCS_1.15 AND my both of the phantom Nv items read.
I'm still a little unclear if the ICS moved the items or if the conventional methods of reading and writing were not working. Side note the information to nv items among other things seems to be a well kept secret and I'm not the type of person that wants to continue following others tutorials using my hand held as I cross the street. And although the hours spent the last few days reading posts and nv browser readouts from different phones in hopes that one my hold the secret to understand if someone knows a book or reference of some kind that would help me to understand this better please let me know.

I've been trying to unlock bootloader on my Rezound I got yesterday, since about 10p last night Eastern.
Still no go. It's actually, really pissing me off. We shouldn't have to go thru their website to get this done.
I wish the people who are here on the forums would release the S-OFF stuff they've discovered.

same here as well
Site returns several errors on various stages of the walkthrough for me currently.
1. Typical access throttle message "you have exceeded the page load frequency" on either HTCDEV.com or on stage 1 or 2 of the unlock guide, which to remedy this I have to release/renew my external IP just to get back to htcdev.com
2. Receive blank white screen on stage one or two of the guide (If i even get to that point).
Has anyone found a maintenance log or down-time expectancy at all?

Frustrating. Just picked up my Rezound a few hours ago and I am getting to the same point of submitting my token and after a long delay it says the site is down for maintenance. Not a good first impression!
I'm also in the same boat of not wanting to use the phone until it's unlocked because it will end up being formatted.

Yep, same here now. Finally got it to go through once, but no email. Called HTC, got a fairly unfriendly CS rep that said "web sites go down from time to time for maintenance and it will be back up when they're done". I asked her if she was going to let anyone know and she said yes, but I doubt she will.

Called back because of how unpleasant the first lady was. Got a guy that was a lot more helpful. He said they are a completely separate entity from the dev side and that the only contact info they have is an email, but that he would fire one off. He also suggested everyone that is having a problem submit feedback through the link on the dev website stating that the token submission is broken and either throwing the maintenance error or saying it's sending an email but still isn't. I guess that's the best we can do right now.
I hate to just come here and ask for help, but I haven't found any solution over the past two weeks, and I didn't see any similar threads in this forum.
I have an HTC Evo 3D through Sprint. Two and a half weeks ago I downloaded the update. The update appears to have worked in the sense that the layout and many features are tweaked a little. However, since I updated it, whenever I turn it on it turns itself off and then back on every few minutes. The reason for this is that I am in Australia so it can't connect to the network to complete the update. I have been here for nearly two months, and won't be back in the US until mid-November. I have solely been using my phone with WiFi for email, internet, etc, and I would like to be able to use it for this purpose again. I called Sprint but they weren't able to help me because there is no Sprint service or Sprint stores in Australia.
Does anyone know of a way to fix the phone? If I factory reset it, will it come back without this issue, or will I just have a phone that doesn't work and lost its memory? Would there be a way to fix it by rooting it?
All help is appreciated. I'm not very knowledgeable on this kind of stuff, I apologize.
Thank you, have a great day.
Even in Airplane mode it does this?
Can't you install the latest sprint ics ruu? That should sort it. I'm gsm though so I never browse the cdma section but I think that should solve your issue.

Here's a post with download links and some information about running the Sprint ICS 2.89 RUU. You didn't say if you are S-ON unlocked or S-OFF and the procedure is slightly different between those two states. If you have never HTC unlocked your phone and rooted your can just run the RUU.exe as if you were S-OFF.
ramjet73
I wonder if there is any way you can get an active Airave to connect to? Sprint obviously wouldn't issue you one in Aus, but perhaps you could have a friend or family get one, activate it, then send it to you in Aus.
Wait....are you saying as long as I have an Airave, I can get service all over the world?

Well, not sure. It does require GPS signal, so it may detect anything not in the US and refuse to work. It was just a thought. Anyone else try to use an Airave outside the US?
It sounds like you aren't rooted and haven't done anything outside of the normal update for the phone.
When you say that the it turns off and back on, do you mean that the phone is simply rebooting randomly? If so, then I think a custom rom might help you.
I don't think the factory reset will fix this for you btw. I also wouldn't try it unless I got a really good backup (which is pretty easy once rooted).
Thanks everyone for your help. I ended up doing an RUU flash using the info ramjet73 gave, and it appears to be working fine except that I lost all of my memory. I couldn't get it backed up before I did it, but I'd rather have a working phone without my old contacts and stuff than have it not work.

How do I do that?
Ok I have a few questions for the flashers out there. I have a EVO design from boost. I have successfully flashed my EVO 3d to boost butthere is a problem. It seems like if I do not use my phone any calls will go straight to voicemail. I have verified that it doesn't do this with the design. I'm at my wits end on this. I.have tried everything from being stock non rooted to New Roms , switching my cid, and this has been on 2 phones, 2 doferent donor phones. I'm just mot sire how to goto the next step. My donor phones are off with battery out of them. I need to know if anybody else has had this issue and if so how did I fix it..if u did.

i dont have a problem there the phone works fine when i use it as it has been activated for a little bit now. its when i let it sit idle for about an hour or so and it will send all my calls to voicemail even though i have good signal.

You would have to call boost mobile so they can do something about it since they allow flashed phones and they would be cool with it.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Yea they may allow flashed phones but they will not.support them im sure. I dont think that calling them will help on thespecially especally sin e the donor evo design works great
Also i have been testing this flash on a samsung gs2 epic touch and all seems well as of now. Been using it since i bootlooped my 3d last night. Nothing major kust need to re rom it. But this wouldean that the 3d is at fault somehow. If someone has flashed the 3d can u givee some direction if u have had this issue.
I'm testing using an older radio and pri to see if that is the problem. I feel like the pri could be an issue after reading it does the work for the voice and data for the phone connecting to the network. Although my pri still says 1.43.003 I think some other people said if u flash an older one it will be there just not show in the pri. Any ideas or advice
Yes I have some advice. You cannot ask for help on changing your msid or esn number on xda. It is illegal and xda doesn't engage in "illegal" activities. You'll have to google your answers on your own. I am simply repeating what mods have said in the past. If have questions about that you can ask them in the ask a mod thread. Not being a douche. Just telling you what's been said.
Let me ask u a question. Where in the hell do u see anything about asking how to flash or change the esn or meid in my post..nowhere because there is nothing in any of my posts asking how to change my esn or meid. I already know how to do this and what I was asking was about the pri and if anyone else was having a problem like I was.
Now I'm testing the virgin mobile pri since on a prepaid. I figured what do I have to lose. So far it lasted over the hour mark. Let's see how the night goes for it.
Ok so that didn't work. I'm going to ruu back to 2.08.651.1 to get the pri back to 1.24.003 then I will flash meanrom ics. Blah a lot of crap just to test older pri. Just wish I could get this fixed once and for all.

after i flashed my evo 3d i got an error 16. So what i should do? Call boost? And what i should say, so they will not suspend my account
eh there,
So I never really did this before and I searched for info, but came up empty.
I picked up an evo lte off of ebay that is s-off/rooted (and now running meanbean 2.9), it still has the previous users name/number in it
sprint wants me to enter: ##72786## then msl
and reset it, they said it will update with new prl/etc. Well i really don't want to do an OTA and loose my settings.
so is there another way i can do this, will i be fine to do this, or has anyone have experience in doing this before?
thanks.

If you're rooted, then make a backup and restore when done. Those settings are kept.
I made the backup already. I just didn't want to start this process and find out it would relock/s-on the phone some how. I'm just really inexperienced in this area. thanks

It shouldn't do an OTA, they should have only gave you the steps to change whoever's phone number to your own. I don't have all the steps of what u do around but I know you would need to go into something from the dialer and back out their number and enter yours. Then yeah, update prl and profile with what they already told u. I've done this twice when I gave my cuz my past 2 s-off eVos. I think they only gave you part of what needs to be done, the last half. unless your phone already is working under your own number. If that's it then just reset how they said. It won't OTA a rom and you never have to hit install even if an OTA actually downloaded. Never sit there and be one of these people that reads on xda but still takes an OTA.
Swyped from my eVo
i did the update before your reply. but following the steps it just resets identity of the phone, so yours will be loaded ota. There was no updating of the firmware/radios/etc as I was told on the phone. I should've known not to panic, but I like to try to do my research before I try something new. I already called sprint and gave them the new info. (She was nice, but asked me to pull the phone backing off and remove the battery. So I shouldn't have worried about it.)
long story short. phone works and now i'm sifting through a week of messages.
All they want u to do is update the profile and prl. It will do nothing to your rooted status or hurt anything. I would strongly recomend u go into Google wallet and make sure they don't have it set up. If so do a reset on the app. Then u can do a factory reset on the phone to wipe out all the other persons personal info and u can sign into your Google account. As long as u don't do a HTC software update u are not screwing up your root or Rom settings.

I called Sprint and even went into the store. They said there is nothing they can do and it has to be my fault (when we have done nothing to the phone because there is no root or recovery even out for our variant). Also, it looks like all that stuff requires root access and a recovery, which we don't have :/ I'm kinda stuck here, I guess. This is ridiculous. All my years of rooting and romming and I get an issue like this on a completely stock phone.
Not sure if this will work lol but it's a full reset. Dial ##RTN# and tap Reset Default. Enter your MSL (if you have it) if it prompts you for it.
Sent from my LG G3 via Tapatalk Pro
Shouldn't they be able to confirm your esn and everything sense this phone has a removable back and it's all on the sticker under the battery?
As a a Sprint rep myself, I would try to manually program it. ANY store rep at a corporate location has access to your MSL, MDN, and MSID. They can attempt the manual programming while connected to their wifi. Not sure if it'll help, since it sounds like your device has lost its EFS.
EFS
Definitely looks like an EFS wipe probably unrepairable by anyone at Sprint try a non corporate Sprint Store (franchise store) they should be more helpful. You may want to put on TEP first you can always take it off later. I would try Best Buy anyways they may take it back. I find with Sprint it pays to try other places even other corporate stores. Sometimes going back to the same store yields different results.
Well now I've went and tried flashtool in my desperation and for some reason the Sprint tot file has given me the stock LG boot animation and initial setup won't go past "configuring your phone" so I feel that anyone that looks at it is going to think it's tampered with. Guess I'll add TEP and see what can be done. Really unhappy with Sprint at the moment. I'm not sure why none of the three guys who looked at my phone could come to a similar conclusion to you guys about the EFS wipe and how to get it back.
Im not sure this will help either but...
In the WiFi calling thread for Sprint, there's some people that had the same LG boot animation. There is a fix for that.
I'll see if I can find it and give you the link.

I'm not sure why none of the three guys who looked at my phone could come to a similar conclusion to you guys about the EFS wipe and how to get it back.
