Hi. I bought an s3 for my wife .
The phone was unbranded and. She was using TescoMobile until 4 days ago when she lost signal coverage.
We swapped the sim card from Three network and everything was working.
The next day we went to Tesco to get another sim card to test and nothing happened. The phone picks up the internet signal but we receive a message "your sim card is not allowed to connect to this network".
We went to Meteor shop - this same not allowed, O2 this same, Vodafone is working.
I installed the 4.1 Android to see if it works. The same happened. I unlocked the phone to see, but the same, only two networks are working with the phone.
What do you think has happened with the phone ?
Phone is going to Samsung for the warranty repair on Tuesday.
If the phone works properly with a different SIM then it's the SIM/network problem.

Hi,
So where is the issue? I rooted the phone, unlocked, changed the ics to jellybean and the same issue arises.
In Ireland there are the following network providers:
1) Tesco mobile (using o2 network) - sim was working for few months and stopped.
2) O2 - their sim cards are not working
3) Vodafone - sim is working fine
4) Meteor - sim is not working
5) Three - sim is working fine
6) Emobile - not checked.

One JB test leaked build will not fix a problem .
3 Sims work fine and rule out a phone problem .
Do the two non working sims work in other phones in the same location .
Possible you have faulty network settings /APN .
I would say back up data and try a factory reset first except you now have non Samsung firmware on the phone .
That voids warranty so you will need to remove it before returning .
your sim card is not allowed to connect to this network".
Not allowed possibly phone blocked IMEI .

I was talking with Tesco Mobile - IMEI is not blocked on their network.
Original software 4.0.4 have this same issue. APN setting are ok - checked with the HTC Wildfire also with Tescomobile.
Repair company said that they don't care if is custom rom, they will put back the original software and start testing the phone, everything under warranty.
Once i went to friend who bought a S3 from Tesco mobile and i his sim card is not allowed to connect on my wife phone. Wife sim car is connecting to the internet but to network

yes and still same problem

if only one network works properly - most likely your phone was not fully unlocked, and after flash it returned to SIM-locked status.

Hi this is starting to really bug me now Im unable to register on a network I get signal bars but only get emergency calls only tried dfferent sim cards and reverted back to latest official stock to no avail any suggestions please
As per multiple identical posts .
First is your IMEI correct
Are your mobile network settings correct
sim card correct and tested
correct modem and csc.

Check your IMEI number. Sometimes, when we flash custom ROM, the phone looses its IMEI number. If it's true, you must use an EFS backup to restore it.
Second solution : your mobile phone was blacklisted (if it was considered as stollen).
Network
Hi thanks for the reply I have been searching I've checked my imei in status and it matches details under battery compartment i'm still paying for the phone (pay weekly) so no reason it would be blacklisted ok just tried another different sim card on Vodafone official s3 stock rom and it registered hmmm im on talktalk which uses voda I know this sim works but i'll get them to send me a new one thanks for your time guys
I bought a used galaxy s3 that seems fine except that i can't get it to work with my sim card. I always get the searching & not registered on network when trying to dial. The sim card works fine on other phones. the phone is running android 4.3... Any idea of what could be the problem and how to fixx it?
Are you sure that you phone isn't sim locked?
If it were sim locked you would get a request for the unlocking code at boot. Most likely the phone has been tampered or broken, either wrong modem or efs folder corrupt.
Search and read for the available fixes.
Hi, i have some problems with No Sim Card detected on Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 from T-Mobile (Austrian)
Firstly i unlocked the phone at the shop and was really unlocked on all sim cards but than i did a factory reset and the phone no longer detects sim card from other carriers, it only detects sim card from T-Mobile, It dosen't even shows the menu when you turn on the phone for network unlock.
I tryed using those secret codes to show the network unlock menu but they didn't work since the phone was updated to 4.3 firmware.
So i followed this guide on androible downgrade-galaxy-s3-i9300-android-4-3-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-firmware
To downgrade to 4.1.2 firmware along with provided modem file. The secret codes now do show menu's but when i click on UMTS RF NV it says it's not supported.
Also instead of downgrading to T-Mobile 4.1.2 Firmware i downgraded it to Orange 4.1.2 Firmware hope that dosen't effects it in anyways? Phone otherwise works just fine IMEI Number shows OK.
I tryed 2 different SIM cards from orange none of them worked, it only detects SIM from T-Mobile.
To recap it all agean: I wish to unlock this phone so i can use different SIM card's but the phone is on NO Sim card, emergency calls only but when i insert T-Mobile Sim it works, Also there is no Network Unlock Menu shown durning turn on or reset since i already Unlocked the phone once with a code. Does anyone has any clue how to fix this or unlock it without rooting the phone.
my son bought a sechond user s6 edge uk version on EE network , person who sold it stated it was unlocked . it works fine with an EE sim . any other sim doesnt register on network . while out today he took it to have it unlocked to all networks , the shop plugged it in and said its already unlocked .
still doesnt work on any other network than EE . phoned EE they said that there is no network lock on it . so they cant help .
doesnt ask for a network unlock code either . would flashing an unbranded rom help ?

Sounds odd as it should take other sims without needing a rom flash.
May as well flash BTU. Don't bother setting everything up on first boot...instead go to settings and do a factory reset to clear the mixed CSC. When you reboot it'll be pure BTU CSC.
Added bonus is you can try the 6.0 beta then if you like.
after looking at the phone i noticed that the imei on the back cover wasnt the one in the phones hardware . i rang the guy up on my sons behalf . seems he owns a phone shop , as soon as i mentioned cert files etc he was only too quick to offer a full refund today . seems it wasnt a legit phone at all
hello, i have g925f and don`t work 4g (only 2g and 3g ), whit odin fail change botloader and fail flash stock rom! wtf ?
