hi,
after my gsm problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1892837
... i decided to flash a new sbf, i had 198_6 before i did the pudding and rooting and all..
so now i have tried 198_7 .
and during the posses , the rsd lite wrote "please boot up the phone menualy" , then i pull and insert the battery (because the phone was on the m logo) and boot up.
the phone is now is a boot loop.
i can still access the rsd, but what to do? cause i tried the sbf again and same result
You probably missed one very important thing!
It's called - Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Hi,
Its a easy one.
Boot into Android Recovery Mode.
Press Vol Down + Power Button and then scroll to Android Recovery
Once you're in recovery mode you will see Android Logo.
At that point Press the Vol Down + Vol Up button togather.
You will get menu thing.
Do Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
Once its done. Reboot System and that should fix it.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
i don't think that when flashing sbf that wipes everything rewire Wipe Data/Factory Reset from cmw recovery....
but lets say that it does...
what am i doing now ? the cmw recovery is gone, as well as the unlock .
any suggestions?

Hi,
Just root your phone using the OCR file I have attached. Its pretty simple.
Just extract the files somewhere on your HDD in a folder. Then run root.bat file. Be sure that phone in is Debug Mode.
After you have rooted. Install app. like Root Explorer etc.
Once Root Explorer or similar app in installed goto /system/apps
Delete sprintconnmoplugin.apk and sprintconnmoplugin.obex
Thats it. Now restart your phone and you're done.
Thanks.
thanks mate.. i did it..
but i still getting any signal..
and yesterday everything was just fine.. i had cm7 and was happy..
maybe flashing cm7 will work it out? (i don't think so)

Have you tried going into Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode ???
Select the appropirate type of network you have. If you're on GSM then select: Any GSM/UMTS
Thanks.
im from Israel
and of-course i did it....
even tried another sim, from a different provider.
when im searching networks i can see my network , but when i'm signing in i get the "!" mark above that the network is unavalable

Hi,
Its correct. Are you sure that you deleted the 2 files I told you to delete ?
Also use Root Uninstaller app from market to remove sprint apps. maybe they are causing the conflict.
You can go here to see which apps. you can safely remove:

If you followed the steps correctly, ClockworkMod Recovery will be flashed to your Motorola DROID RAZR and you can use it to flash custom ROMs. Now, every time you reboot, you will boot into recovery. You must select reboot option to boot normally. If you enter a bootloop, press and hold Volum Down + Power buttons for about five seconds.

Once in cwm wipe that cache and dalvik and see it that helps. Umm if not maybe do a factory wipe in cwm.

Maybe use RSD to wipe and go back to factory. Do your phone get recognized by the computer when plugged in with the usb cable? If so just flash back.

download, unzip the downloaded file until u get a tar.md5 file
got o recovery and wipe data/factory reset (and format system, preload, data and cache if on a custom recovery, check under mount and storage)
reboot to download mode, plug your phone
open odin, click pda, select the tar.md5 file, hit start and wait.
if the phone does boot after flashing, wait a minute, reboot to recovery, wipe data/factory reset and reboot (even if the device boots at first time, i advise u to do this wipe anyway)

Hi guys,
I forgot the pin-code to my Galaxy S2, not to the sim, to the phone.
I can't go into recovery mode or download mode, due to a broken home-button.
Is there any way I can like hack the pin, or reset the phone without having to use my home button?
Maybe by using my pc or something?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Man I thought it was impossible to get into download mode but you got me there!
Unfortunately I do not see the "Clear Storage" option.
The volume down button gets me into a reboot.
Volume up gets me to downloading.
Is there any way I can get into recovery? Or download something to the phone that resets it?
And eh, multitasking, that is kind of hard with no home button.
The back button gets some more use since the home button has died haha

What are the risks of that? And is there a big chance of this going wrong?

Thanks, flashing right now.
Had flashed a few hours ago, but still got asked for the pin.
Though then I had to register the phone (name, language, that stuff) and after that I was in the phone, and did not have to enter the pin.
Doing that again right now, hoping to get to settings and then get to factory reset
Thanks for your help so far.
Then another question popped up:
To get another kernel I need recovery mode right?
And to get rooted I need a rooted kernel?
So can I root my device without home button and without recovery menu?

Sorry man maybe it is different problem because I am running it on a p710 with latest firmware the 10j one. Anyway you can always recover bootlop with Kdz flasher. For those that don't know how. Pull battery out. Wait 1 minute or so then press Volume-Down and hold it while you insert your usb. There will be a yellow screen (Emergency Mode). Be sure to have all drivers download the firmware for your phone, run Kdz Flasher Type: 3GQCT - Phone Mode: Emergency and run start. You will recover the bootloops.
OK, so I tried to see if this fixed the bootloop problem (do I have a death wish or what?). With the previous version of CWM, I booted to recovery mode from power down - got the bootloop (recovered with battery out and charger plugged + home).
Now, flashed the new image. Succesfully got to CWM via reset to recovery from power menu. However, when trying to get to CWM via button combination (power, vol up & down, home), I never get to CWM but only to regular boot sequence. Tried maybe ten times, always the same. Anyone can explain?

Hi ,i have the same model, does this recovery works fine? i mean ,does it have bootloops problems? and to answer your quesrion, try using this combination:
Power button + up volume + button home
after the vivration just release the power button and keep pressing the other 2 until you reach the recovery screen.
Tell me if its works, and also if the recovery is stable for the p714,thanks

Thanks mate. :good: This combination brought me to the recovery menu. Don't know why I didn't think about it - was the same with the Samsung device I previously had.
And I can confirm that this fixes the bootloop issue. We have CWM for this device.
Hey everybody. I was recently playing around with SlimKat for a bit but I wiped data and It's in a bootloop (I think) .Unfortunately, the home button on my S2 is broken, so I am unable to get to recovery mode by the normal means.
Is there any other way that I can access the recovery mode without using the home button? Unfortunately the phone won't boot so I can't use an app on Android to do so. I want to reflash SlimKat and I also don't have a PC. Help it's urgently.

The only real solution is to fix the home button. At some point you will NEED it!
There are ways to get the phone working though if you want to make your life more difficult.
1. Get a USB jig to access download mode.
2. Flash stock rom for your region from sammobile or similar website.
3. Enable ADB debugging, then use ADB to reboot to recovery.
You may still run into problems doing this, as you most likely will need to do a factory reset from 3e recovery after flashing the stock rom for it to boot properly.
Please use internet search and search on XDA for more info, but I'll repeat myself: You need to fix your home button

No idea. Wiping data shouldn't cause a bootloop....
