Making Voice Calling While Roaming - HTC EVO 3D

Does a PRL affect this option? When I'm roaming, I can't make calls, but receive them fine.

Figured this out. If you can't make any voice calls while roaming, a simple solution would be to just turn off Mobile Network. You'll lose 3G connectivity, but gain the ability to make voice calls.

data disconnects voice

Is there away to set the data connection to NOT connect while I am on a voice call?
Every so often ill be on a phone call with a client and suddenly my data connection activates.. probably from active sync... and it drops my voice calls.
Will I have this issue if I switch to HSPA on bells new network?
has no one else experienced this?
you need a GSM phone.
CDMA is ballz.
i hate bell.
so is there not away to set the phone not to connect while its on a voice call?
Will HSPA suffer from the same thing?
None of the roms I have used allow data to disconnect voice, but works other way around.
What rom are you using?

[Q] wifi calling vs grooveip

whats the difference? seem to me pretty much the same, why everybody insists on having wifi calling in their amaze when they can just install grooveip?
WiFi calling allows incoming calls and SMS to your T-Mobile number while on WiFi. It's also better integrated, so outgoing calls and messaging is easier, and it originates from your T-Mobile number. If you don't have number equity and don't mind the clumsy interface, Groove IP should work just as well for you.
The older phones that had true UMA could also handoff the call between WiFi and cell tower, but the Android WiFi calling has so far not had that ability.

Unable to receive calls on 3G plan.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm on a 3g plan for AT&T and am unable to receive calls from iPhone users. It rings and rings until it goes to voice mail without my phone ever going off.
I am able to make calls, but unable to receive them.
I changed my APN settings to my previous settings and still no dice.
lol
thats LTE network Welcome to LTE lol

turn off voice but not data

I use grooveip/google voice for voice calls these days and have no use for the regular voice/SMS on my phone. is there a way to turn them off but keep 3G and 4G on?

google voice voip with sprint integration?

ok so i tied my number to google voice because my phone doesn't get signal in 90% of my workplace (it has wifi though) and the cell signal by my house is pretty low so all calls sound like crap. so what i was hoping to do was be able to place calls and texts from my sprint number through google voice. if i go into the settings of the google voice app i set it so the google voice app gives me notifications when i receive texts and i am able to use it to text and receive texts as long as i have a data connection (wifi most of the time) now the problem with this is that if i don't have a cell signal and am connected to only wifi, calls dont come through at all like i would expect them to..
before i did the integration i was able to place calls over wifi but it would display my google voice number to the people i was calling but now that i did the integration i cant make or receive calls over wifi? if anyone knows how to enable that it would help a lot, if it can even be done that is...
on a side note, i experimented with it using my house phone and noticed that if i have no signal and am only on the wifi, the people who are calling me (in this case me calling my cell phone from my house) still hear a ringing tone and after about 30 seconds get my voicemail. so what the heck. you would think if its ringing that i would get calls over the wifi but apparently not...?
