I'd probably stay away from that. Not made for the rezound and could cause permanent damage to your battery.

Not to mention this post would not belong in Dev anyway...

He has a lot to learn, but welcome to XDA.

I have a rezound and am using it currently. Thunderbolt and rezound have the same IC, This goes for a lot of other HTC phones also. I've proven it out 100% on the thunderbolt, just got it working on the rezound last night.
Don't really want to disrespect the administrators of xda but the restrictions on new accounts is kinda insain, it would be nice if they could override it if they feel its actually a real person (I'm pretty sure I'm real ;p). Once I get 10 posts I'll throw up a page in the dev section, until then I'll mostly be over at rootzwiki.

You can set the values now through the apk I just released a few minutes ago. See 1st post link for details.

It *shouldn't* be charging any faster than normal. Can you get me the output of "dmesg | grep tps" from adb or terminal emulator?
I'm hoping I can get enough replies in this thread alone to get to 10, spamming smiley faces just feels like it goes against why the 10 post limit is in place to begin with.

Accidentally put part of my post in my previous comment and it takes 5 minutes to edit a post, I'll bump up my post count to 5 and resay it here:

I noticed mine will do it a little bit also, not as bad though. I think it might have something to do with the kernel as the thunderbolt didn't do this with the same battery. I haven't looked into it yet though...

Also defaults in my kernel are set to 550mA for USB and 1050mA for AC. You shouldn't see a difference in charging unless you change this. I'll probably bump up the default for USB to 950/1050mA next release or so.

Anyone having battery problem with xBoarder's BulletProof 2.4.0?

It's draining my phone like hell......it was fine in 2.3.1.
I'm experienced user and I know I dont have bluetooth, wifi, data, or anything like that on. No backgroup stuff either.

To the OP did you wipe data, cache & davlik before flashing? Also what kernel are you using?

"Battery problem with xboarder's bulletproof" cannot be anymore specific but yeah lets open new threads and become famous to the op, might be smarter asking where bulletproof belongs, that way you might get more feedback from bulletproof's users. As it regards ur concern, just deactivate automatic sync of social networks and ur battery life will be back to normal. Nothing to do with kernels
before this turns into a flame war...not everyone is able to post in the development section especially if they are new...the question belongs here since we do not have a Q/A section.
Let's get back to the topic. to the OP: can you be more specific about what is going on with your battery? 1 percent when screen is off or screen is on???
You could recalibrate your battery. Charge to 100 then go to recovery and wipe the battery stay, then unplug and drain the battery completely. After another full charge, battery life should improve.
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
I've noticed a little extra drain myself, but then again i haven't charged the device to 100% yet since flashing... Haven't been concerned about though.
Overall still a wonderful rom, thank you xboarder

The draining is from that the power manager can't step down the cpu. There is a process that is interfering with the power manager.
I have not had such problems. My battery lasts around 14-16 hours with normal to heavy use. That is with wifi on all the time, calls, some games, and lots of trolling around the Internet. Did you flash the kernel that is included in the zip file? And if so are you over clocked? Like someone else already said, calibrate your battery. There is an app for it in the market that make it idiot proof.
Just get the kernel from an older version and system tuner under clock it. Or try another rom fourth bar ics theme been good for me

I guess we all have our breaking points. Only thing I hate more than when someone asks a question in a thread (whether related to the thread or not) that has been already been answered several times (or can be Googled easily) is when someone spoon feeds them by answering. Meanwhile, when someone asks relevant questions or makes a relevant comment, it gets lost in the bs. Oh well, it is what it is. Thanx for the work u did put in...

Cubed 2.3.1...
fwiw, on 2.2.1 and on 2.2.3, I had NO issues with reboots, lockups, SoD, heat, lag, speed, etc. I think the issues are with the controllers and maybe a combination of messing around with voltages. The ONLY times I experienced any and almost all of these issues is when I used either System Tuner (Pro) or Android Tuner. When I use "old faithful" SetCPU, NO ISSUES and battery life is phenomenal. I don't comment much until I have thoroughly tested... or unless someone in the thread is buggin out with worrisome questions/comments. Anyway, nice work.
btw, I use min 192, max 1728 and interactivex2, Lionheart, badass, and msm-dcvs. I primarily use interactivex2 tho. I try all the schedulers. I don't notice any difference but I primarily use fiops now (because it sounds cool!)
It was fun while it lasted! Thanks for getting us this far.

It wasn't I was just speaking what dsb said awhile back in thread although it's probably been deleted or edited. It's all our devices or setcpu, kernel tuner or system tuners fault according to dsb and the kernel had nothing to do with it. He asked people to post there logcat and etc and then said wasn't kernel. I mean cmon all those apps work fine with stock kernel. Overall I think it's quite sad you let people get to you like this. If you feel you have to reply to every little comment and go off all hasty like this that is very very sad. We need devs that are willing to work with the community and not think they are holier than the rest of community!!

you have NO idea how many people look @ those kmsg, 99% of them are NOT because of the kernel. you my friend are a douche. those apps don't work fine on stock on this phone, they just DO NOT FUNCTION.
camera crashes the phone on 100% stock.
25% wakelocks on 100% stock
SOD on 100% stock.
yet, you the super dev, think that it's D's fault because he works 10+ hours a day to fix ****.
I'm surprised you're not banned from life.
SIGH
this is the EXACT drama that the rezound forums had, and i was hoping to all hell the DNA would be different....it's been doing so well, too...sigh.
See it can get frustrating reading complaints about issues when they provide little detail as to what exactly they were running...
Ie if you have issues on custom kernel you should be sure to state if you changed voltages, governor, clock speeds....ANYTHING that's different from pure stock and provide log for the dev too...
Just stating X is happening and doesn't on stock doesn't help them at all most of the time...as most of the time when that is happening its bc something extra the user is doing on the custom kernel like the items I mentioned above....
Hopefully time passes and he comes back for yall. Just take my notes going forward though on here as it can get frustrating as a dev trying to find root cause of an issue with little to no info or just a log even...

Looking through your posts there I couldn't find a single instance where you provided either a logcat or kmsg. Instead, you repeatedly talked about switching to other kernels and kept creating unproductive and provocative posts.
Contrary to your assumption that "devs were supposed to fix bugs here" no one here owes you anything, and unless you're willing to help fix an issue you have no business posting in any of the development threads. It's as simple as that.

I had the opportunity to try a barely functioning Sense 5 build. It was very fluid, but because hardly anything worked, I obviously didn't use it long. I have SVN set up already, and will be trying this ROM once it's "publicly" available. I'm a very patient person. I suppose that's a good thing right now. Lol

Well if you have the svn set up you should check out latest. It is very very fluid, and the only things not working so far are
Gallery
3g
4g
ZOE (acts like its working, but will never complete the zoe)
Gallery <- again.
but everything else is working quite well at the moment wifi has solved most of my connection issues and i dont really need 3g while im on the go as its wayyyyy too slow in my area anyways, sure it will be nice to have, but its not a necessity, and everything else but those things are working.
ive made a number of calls, sent a few texts and am using email to send sms out to people at the moment.
what did you find wrong with the rom so i can check it out?

The ROM I tried was a private build provided to me, just for fun. Other than the UI, nothing worked. No camera, Wi-Fi, data, talk. In no way was it meant for any kind of public release. I also promised the person whom allowed me to use it, that I wouldn't share with anyone. I stand by my word. Sorry.

These devs have done some amazing work and need applauded for there effort on this! Within a few days they have a complete build with the only real issues are data, gallery fc, and Bluetooth, that's nothing short of amazing! I personally tried a port when the system dump became available and the things I was beating my head against the wall trying to figure out they fix in minutes! Needless to say once I saw this line up of devs working on a port I quit all attempts and am glad they can make it happen! +1 to this.
Also for anyone trying this rom out in the future, it comes with blinkfeed as page one, and homescreen as page 2. Add a third page to boost smoothness of the entire rom. just noticed that.

Not gonna happen until the devs put their foot down... Maybe they don't mind but I find posts that say "good work figured I would stop by" "thanks for all your hard work", really annoying in a dev thread...
Side note my svn is all setup...

I agree. I can't even use the ROM yet. I switch PRLs twice a day, and had no data at home. I'll still follow it though

True. I like some features that are available in other ROMs, so I usually use those. I'm not a big "flashaholic" like some, but I test some. I'm not remotely upset. Just sharing.
I'm loving this ROM so far but I have an issue when the phone rings. No matter what ringtone I set, it gives me the old rotary phone ring and doesnt stop even when I answer the call. So i'm talking to whoever and its still blasting that ring in my ear X(. any one get this or know how to fix it?
Im running the current 4.2.2 Port.
Thanks in advance

I don't have this issue. You did the fix for storage, right?

Nice ROM
Ok, I have been on the first port since it came out and it is the bomb. I finally had some time to load this and it is sweet. Most likely will go back to v145 since I use my camera, but look forward to when the camera does work. t/u
Gotta say I'm looking forward to checking this out. Sounds like its pretty bad ass but like like the guy above me said I need my camera sometimes in work .
Great work guys and thanks for sharing

So I was going to dl and give it a shot, but Sins link in the Dev discussion does nothing...where is R27 at? Thanks
Nevermind, did SVN instead.

FYI - The link is further down on the first page. I'm still waiting for my post on Page 1 to update it myself.
I posted the svn link on the 3rd post

Wrong port, wrong thread.

2 Different Batteries

@SHM @Moody66 @medwatt
There are definately 2 different batteries in play here. I smoked mine and took a stab at ordering the higher 4050 mAh one to replace the 3900 mAh one that was found in MY L03.
I can confirm that it works without issue and was cheap. not $39.00 on amazon. . see pics the batt on the right is the stock one that I replaced.
Like the custom screen on my test phone.
Nice work and thanks for sharing.

I see you edited your post but you did indeed mention me before you did, so here I am. Case closed? No it's not. I know there are two batteries. The whole back and forth previously was not about if there are two batteries. It was about how you could be so sure you got the 4050mAh, which you never answered. North American devices have proven to come with 3900mAh batteries, but you magically got the 4050mAh and still won't say how you know this for sure.
That is what the whole battery discussion was about. Two batteries exist. This is a fact. What's not is how you know you got the larger one when it seems all NA models have the 3900mAh.
@thelgster @SHM
I am just sharing my Findings/Results.
Please don't Muddy my thread with this stuff. TIA
Oh for f***s sake will you two just drop it? Quit hijacking threads to continue a pointless and childish argument. If you're so insecure and immature that you HAVE to be right.. You're right, OK. Now for Chrisake drop it!
Mod feel free to delete this but also consider imposing some kind of ban on anyone who continues the bickering.. Please!

Um, I didn't even read this thread until I got a mention from SHM about "case closed". The issue had been dropped. Who is the more mature one here? Once the other thread was closed, it was done.

Indeed, he seems very exited. I don't see any issue here.
No issues here, lets keep future discussions on topic.
I do thank the OP for sharing his discovery since I personally wasn't planning too myself.
Will be useful to those who wish to have better battery life.
Although there isn't much difference between 3900 and 4050 you will most certainly see the difference on your device.
Just be careful handling your phone when tampering with the battery.
EDIT: Be sure to thank @Davinci50 if you find his finding to be relevant, useful, and even helpful.
