Are you on the latest .587 build?
If not first of all you will need to flash the latest version using flashtools - there are links to the ftf files in the stickies.
Then you would need to root it again, so you can install CWM (or flash a custom kernel, which will take less time). After this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30338820
Is a link to a pre-rooted version of sony's latest build that can be installed via CWM. It would be helpful if you gave a few more details in your question - readers don't really know what you're asking for or what you want to do - which is why I suspect your thread has been largely ignored.
I don't know if there are earlier versions of stock that have been converted into CWM zip files.

Any idea where I can find the kernel for fxp109? Thanks?
Flashtool with the right kernel is included in the download file. (I believe it's a. rar) Anyways, extract the download file, you'll find the. zip and flashtool. Flash kernel with the flashtool included, flash the rom and you'r good to go

Pretty sure u can also use older fxp kernels also (think it must be from previous version of fxp though)

Hi,
I installed cwm 1.5 recovery, SuperSU and ninphatemin3 1.1.0 to my stock XXLE8 stock rom.
Now I cannot seem to apply the OTA update. Can somebody help guide me to successfully update the OTA?
Thanks

Hi,
I had the same issue. You need to install Samsung Kies on a PC and install the firmware update with Kies. Be aware that your device is not rooted anymore after that procedure.
So you have to root it again. But not a big task though.
Cheers

Of course you cant. Root = no ota or official support.

As multiple posts say root = no OTA .
But if you actually read the latest CF root instructions .
Recovery - ClockWorkMod (CWM)
A custom CWM 5.5 build is included in CF-Root, taken from this thread. This provides for the ability to install custom ROMs, and do nandroid (full device) backups and restores. Now also support OTA updates, but an OTA update itself will probably remove CWM, so you need re-flash CF-Root after OTA.
But why piss about with root then back to official update and then root again .
Join XDA and flash stock rom when you want .
Plus with 84 posts you should be able to read the fffff rules

1. make a back up of your current firmware
2. In recovery, do a wipe of the cache then go to advanced and wipe daavik cache.
3. Using odin flash the ics firmware you like.
this tutorial should help .

Will it erase all data?

You already made 2 threads about rooting.
So since you "need" to be on ics,you open up another thread about gb-ics.
Whats next,a thread about how to use odin,or a thread about cwm.Or how about a thread for flashing kernel,or a thread about a rom. Then a thread about "help phone bricked".
Do us all a favour and read you lazy git.

1. Root your phone by flashing a rooted kernel containing CWM recovery (e.g. SpeedMod for GB ROMs), if not already done.
2. Make a nandroid backup of your current GB system in CWM recovery. (So you can restore it if flashing does not work or you don't like the new ICS ROM and you want to go back to GB.)
3. Have a look here for the latest ICS stock ROMs => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487.
There is also a description in the first post how to flash the new stock ROM with Odin.
I recommend to flash a pre-rooted ICS stock ROM from here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1608071.
Download the ROM, extract the zip file, put the tar/md5 file into PDA section of Odin and flash it to your phone. (Be sure that no Kies process is running on your PC while flashing.)
4. Once you are on ICS and rooted, you can install TriangleAway (=> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114&highlight=triangleaway) app to reset the flash counter if needed.
5. Be happy and enjoy the new ICS ROM.
Good luck !

Hello,
How to completely remove CWM. I installed it by xparts. I searched over net but didn't get any proper steps. Also, when I install ROM manager, it shows that I have already CWM and TWRP installed. How to remove those completely?
Thanks.
Flash the current stock kernel that u have again it will gone, as far as I know

- flash stock kernel
- flash stock firmware (recommended)
I guess you only have those two choices
Thanks for the replies. I flashed FTF file of stock ROM (which contains both kernel and firmware) , but still the ROM manager is saying that I already have the CWM and TWRP installed.

well, I don't know why the ROM Manager says that because the flashing should clean everything (if you check all options). What do you need ROM manager for?
Afaik, Rom manager doesn't support our xperia neo and neo v

I have installed CM9.1 in my SK17i. I havent done anything with my phone after flashing this custom rom.
Now i want to go back to stock rom.
My questions are
1. Is it possible to flash a stock rom via clockwork ? If yes then i will need a flashable stock rom. Yes? From where can i get it?
2. If the above is not possible, which is the next option available?
There should be a prerooted rom.zip in the development forums to flash it in cwm
But if I were you I'd just download the stock rom .ftf and flash it using flashtool in flashmode

I did not mean flashtool by Sony, I meant flashtool listed in development section. Try that one
