I have Samsung Galaxy S2
Baseband Version- I9100DDKE4
KERNEL VERSION- [email protected]@DELL101 #2
I want to root my device. Please provides links and the process to root the device.
Is it advisable to root my device.
My friend has a galaxy s2 , his baseband version is I9100 GDZKK1
his firmware is 2.3.6 , i can't find the correct files for I9100 GDZKK1
can someone lead me to that file so i can root his device ?? thx

That looks like he has an I9100G. For the love of all that is holy, do NOT use any insecure methods intended for the standard I9100 to root.
EDIT: Looks like this may work.

check post for rooting I9100G model . Chainfire thread with CF-root kernels do not work with I9100G model.

Dudes. He is on DZKK1. Which is 2.3.6... Are you sure telling him to root using 2.3.5 kernels will work?
From what I've been reading, memory crashing zergRush may be the only method that will work for him. Can anyone confirm that?

Hi,
As my Baseband version: I9100GDDKI1 and Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2 .
Can i use the kernel GT-I9100G_DZKI1_original and GT-I9100G_DZKI1_insecure, as this is the closest match name according to my base band version:Baseband version: I9100GDDKI1 and follow the method menstion in the forum to ROOT my phone with out any problem. also will effect my Binary count.

I've never used this method to root an SGS2 so I have no idea of the process/how it works, but the 2nd post in that thread says:- "Confirmed to be working on the following devices - Samsung Galaxy i9100G".

I CANNot find the insecure kernal for my XXKL5 with which i want to root my s2

You have a "G" model by the look of it so don't flash a kernel for the I9100. Different hardware.
Look in the development section for I9100G kernels or for rooting the I9100G.

as ur build is JPLPF in which The LPF is what is important and u have to choose a CF root matching this(LPF).
it is CF-Root-SGS2_XW_OXI_LPF-v5.5-CWM5.zip
which u can find in the link below, under the heading 'ICS - CF-Root v5.5/6'
