hey guys, my phone is running on official ics 4.03 (baseband XXLPX). Im new to samsung but i know few things about rooting and custom roms from my old HTC phone. So how should i root my S2 and install CWM recovery so that i can install custom Roms?? Please Help

i installed Siyah-s2-v4.1.4
and it came samsung logo with yellow triangle and ics eye logojust it
what can i do else???

Wipe cache partition
Wipe dalvik cache (under advanced)
Reboot phone

Remove your battery and check or the galaxy SII logo when you boot your phone will also show the model no.

You don't need to flash any kernel to ROOT in ICS.

You could have also actually read post 1 of the CF-Root thread. There are instructions on how to select which file to use.
I know, it's buried under a heading that says "Help! Which file do I use ?", so that should make it pretty tough to find.

i am facing this problem last few hours ago..
my phone was stuck at homescreen than i pull my battery and enter again and turn on my phone.. after this problem start..
and i cant connect my phone with pc an error appear on pc that my usb cant recognized..

I bought a used galaxy nexus S that is on version 2.3.6.
It does not seem to be reading any sim cards and the baseband version is listed as unknown.
I think it may be on a custom rom because of this. I want to flash it back to a stock rom but have no idea where to start. I downloaded 4.1.1
the google site. which I can`t link to because I am new here..
my nexus s is I9020A so i downloaded that version of jellybean but have no idea where to go from here.
Are there any easy to follow guides? And am I even on the right track here?
