I have a two week old unrooted red 300 on 4.1.1 with dock, I already had a ps3 with controllers so my controller was previously paired with ps3 ( which may be the problem). As long as I have it connected via usb to my dock it works fine, but when I disconnect the controller shuts off. I see on youtube people just connect via usb, disconnect the usb and viola, playing bluetooth but mine is not working, is there any steps or apps that I need to have before I can play wirelessly. oh and yes my bluetooth is on lol.

There shouldn't be anything special you need to do. Plug in the USB, with bluetooth on, hit the PS3 button to turn the controller on and the Bluetooth should connect with it. Double-check in the Bluetooth devices that it shows a PS3 Controller listed in the paired devices after performing the above steps.
When you disconnect the USB cable it should disconnect and turn off the controller. Just hit the PS3 button again and the lights should indicate a flash showing it's on and then switch to connected at controller 1 and the bluetooth devices will show connected in the ASUS settings.

I guess I'm a total noob. I rebooted the tablet and now the 360 controls work fine! FFS
Read on if you want to know what the problem was...
I have tried to use my xbox360 wireless controller with wired PC dongle and a xbox360 wired control in the USB port of the dock and the wireless dongle lights up only when i push the button then i sync the control and the light goes off and the control wont map in any of the emu's or games I tried where the WII-mote worked. The wired one doesn't even turn on (flickers on then off .2 sec) when plugged in. Am I missing something do I have a defective doc? I also happen to have a ps3 control and that also doesn't work with the USB cable and the six-axises app. App says its compatible with the Transformer Prime but it always just asks me to pug the USB in even tho its plugged in. Any ideas? Does the Dock need a certain amount of charge does it have to be plugged into the wall to have enough power? Wireless dongle light goes off after the control is synced, is that normal? Could it be because its rooted?
(4.0.3 ICS brand spanking new Transformer Prime w/ wired 360 control, wireless PC dongle & wireless 360 control, and PS3 control with USB wire and Six-Axises app plugged to dock with no success)
Did you fix this? I have the same issue.
So I have the prime and a ps3 controller and i changed the controller mac address to the primes and i can get it to connect using the sixaxis app but when i open up and emulator and try to configure the controls it registers one of the joysticks and the dpad as the same and wont even register the other joystick, did i do something wrong? also USB/BT Joystick Center wont even detect the controller, and I dont have the usb adapter or keyboard. It sees the right joystick and dpad as the same and wont detect the left analog stick movement besides pressing L3

Just to let you know the ps3 controller works on the prime without any root or sixaxis app. Just turn on BT on the prime, plug in the ps3 controller through usb port and turn on the Ps3 controller. Wait a few secs so it can pair, unplug and your up and running without any cables. Been using mine with bluetooth without any problems.

I don't have the usb adapter :/
bump still got no solution without USB adapter!
In your emulators settings (I use nesoid, snesoid etc) did you go into Other Settings> and check "Use Input Method" ? It says enable special input device eg bluetooth gamepad.
I have the same issue and I have the paid version and after. 21 update it doesn't work which really pisses me off... .21 update worst update so far? Fair to say?

Would this solve your problem? I haven't gotten mine yet but for that price it's worth a shot with the stock USB cable. I have the dock so my PS3 controller plugged right up.
no its been proven that that wont work, the usb charging cable doesnt have the correct pins for usb inputs, only the usb adapter does

scottrod, did you check this setting?
I can connect my original Ps3 controller to my Z2 wired and this if working well but it's not working wireless after disconnecting the cable When I disconnect the cable all leds are blinking on my controller. My bluetooth is working fine and I'm on the latest stock 314 rooted and bootloader locked.

you have to pair via bluetooth to use wirelessly
perhaps try turning controler on
then phone bluetooth
then select ps3 controler

When I try to pair via bluetooth directly without cable my Z2 doesn't see the controller at all.
When connecting via Xperia connection it only works wired.
I'm sure my bluetooth function on my Z2 and controller is working just fine.

Yes I will try further.
ps: I will charge my controller fully altough i know it's not empty and try again later
You can't find the controller because it is hidden. The only way to connect it with bluetooth is to write phone's Bluetooth adress to controller's memory. Try resetting dualshock 3(find in google how to do it). It helped me once when it didn't want to work. Hope it helps.
EDIT: That's also why USB cable is needed. To write things to controller's memory.
I have reset my controller with the reset button on the back and tried again but still no luck. I have tried my friends controller and it works flawlessly. I have tried to connect my controller with the sixaxis controller app and this worked as well. Any suggestions or shall I have to use the sixaxis controller app as I am rooted anyway?
I know that the transformer prime has Native Ps3 Controller support. You plug it in via dock and after a few minutes it works over standard bluetooth.
Is there a patch or something for the galaxy s5 active?
I have root.
and I know about six axis, but six axis will not work after I tried everything and it turns off bluetooth which I use for my android wear watch.
I tried using the PC tool and an OTG cable, neither recognized the controller. Randomly i got it connected once, but after I disconnected it, it never worked again.
Hello,
I am trying to connect my Wireless Xbox 360 controller to my Samsung Galaxy S3 with an USB-OTG adapter. It doesn't work though. When I try to connect the controller to the dongle, the lights on the controller just keeps flashing.
- When I plug the dongle into my phone, a notification saying a USB-connector is connected appears, but quickly disappears.
- When I plug the USB-OTG adapter out of my phone, a notification saying a USB connector is disconnected appears.
- I have followed this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1792531 and downloaded both files, both put them into the right folders and run the script.
Still, my phone does not recognize any input from my controller. Can anybody help me with this?
