Hi all.
Well my question was that if the firmware ROM is Xperia S was real, because the supposed "developer" had posted a preview, then closed its subject because it was insulting (some troll or not) and that the published today, but after that I delete his subject, the question is only that if there really because multiple users (from another forum) we're hoping if they had neither case have published their advancement.
First of all, Xperia S has no official ICS, it will come after 2011 Xperia line has received the ICS.

I don't check the Xperia S section.
Since Xperia S has different chipset than 2011 Xperia series, porting might be a problem.
Of course, I am not sure, as I am not aware of porting at all.
There are already ICS ROMs for these phones, also you can find some of the Xperia S apps in Themes/Apps section for Stock ROM. Better than nothing.
It is not from Xperia S. It's from one of the 2011 Xperia Line that get the official ICS. So Kamarush adapted it. You can find it on the Development section.

Hello & First of all 'HI' to all the members of XDA-Forum!!
I have been visiting this forum recently since i got my XU.
I want your help in flashing the JellyBAM ROM on my XU coz am still a newbie in flashing stuffs. I have certain queries which when answered will result whether I should flash it or stay with my Stock ROM.
So first of all, details about my XU:
Model - ST25i
Firmware - Stock ICS with some minor customizations & CWM v 5 installed.
Bootloader Status - Locked
Now questions,
1) Will JellyBAM require unlocked Bootloader?
2) If yes for above question, then which data will actually get wiped during the Bootloader unlocking process? My User & System apps + Data have been backedup using Titanium Backup and are in the Internal 4GB memory. Will they also get deleted?
3) What else should be taken care of?
4) And lastly, Instructions to flash JellyBAM.
Plz do answer the questions, you need not write long detailed explanations as I have enough knowledge related to these stuffs.
Thank you very much!!
Thers no JB for xperia U.
As of right now, JellyBAM rom is not working. The original developer based it on a CM10 base but unfortuntately, he didnt notice that the branch was not booting. So till CM10 gets fixed by FXP, I dont see any likelihood of Jellybam working
Jellybean doesn't work yet on xperia u.
Don't try jellybam because it won't boot.

Install CM9.

I don't have any experience in Development of ROM's so I really don't know but I know one thing i.e. it takes hard work to compile 3 ROM's (AOKP + Paranoid + CM) into one and make a powerful ROM.
I know that and by no means am I disrespecting the developer. His rom is by all means a really good one but I am talking about the Xperia U version. He copied over his modified files onto a non-working CM10 base. Thats the issue here.
I understand that my previous post does seem disrespectful of the original Dev but it wasnt intended. I assumed that you didnt understand my previous reply so I simplified it as simple as I could although I admit I ought to have phrased differently
Sorry if it seemed disrespectful to you or the Dev. No disrespect was intended.

hey there,
I'm currently running the 9-20121028-NIGHTLY-mango on my xperia mini pro. the kernel is 2.6.32.9-FXP.
I'm wondering if I can change easily to the Zelly Cream 2.0 ROM.
In this thread it says I need a .587 base but I can't figure out whether this cyanogenmod has the requested base or does that mean i have to go back to stock? if so where do I get that stock ROM?
thanks for your help
EDIT: ****, I meant CM9

If you have CM9 then that must mean you have an unlocked bootloader. So, just flash a compatible kernel like Lupus or Mesa, wipe the required stuff (data, cache, system & dalvik cache) and then flash the rom and reboot.

That is only for locked bootloaders.
ok. i downloaded th lupus kernel. going to test it now
EDIT: after hours of trying. no success. I tried the rom with different kernels but it wouldn't work :/ it always stopped after the installation. the lights were on and nothing happened for nearly an hour.
i'm back to cm 9.1 with the lupus kernel.
EDIT2: I couldnt go to sleep without trying a third time this time with the mesa kernel, succes! the system is starting and running smoothly. thank you all!

hey so mesa works flawlessly>>
Also I am planning to move to zelly cream having CWM 10
as far as I can see it works great. in the beginning i had some randomn reboots but they are gone now. But I have another little problem and since I don't have 10 Posts I can't ask in the Zelly Cream Thread.
There is no system alarm installed in the ROM. How can I get a system alarm like the one in stock or in CM?
I there a zip I can flash?
hopefully someone sees my request in here

Also, official ROM working is far from "good". It's terrible actually. Sony screwed work with ICS and it's slow as hell. If you want the latest JB, then take CM10.1. It works better than ICS (just like every JB though), so you should like it.
@Edit: Or check PM to grab AOSP 4.1.2
@Koloses
It's so sad that other MDPI Xperia series doesn't have AOSP 4.1. Is it possible to speak to pcfighter to port this rom for f.e. XMP?

OP some items here...
1) Moved from the Development Section.
2) If you want an Official ROM, best to stay Stock.
Any thing else is for you to read and do some homework and test for yourself. Thank You.
Guys, I'll change my kernel because it doens't support 720p recording.
I found these 2 kernels what supports 720p recording in a fast search I did.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076764
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1715679
But I don't know how install this and I have a lot of questions about it.
First, can I install any of these kernels without worries about compatibles? I'm using moPROJECT42 v4 ROM (JB 4.2.2) with nAa Kernel.
Second, will I need wipe data or something like this?
I'm noob and I'm very afraid of kill my phone.
If I'm in wrong section, please, move. I'm sorry.
Sorry for bad english.
Both kernels will work with your rom
To flash a kernel you need an unlocked bootloader. How to unlock is in my guide on how to unlock the bootloader in the stickies in general section. How to flash a kernel is in my guide on how to install a custom rom/kernel in the stickies in general forum too
And it won't wipe any data and you don't have to wipe any data. Just follow my guide :good:
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.3
I already unlocked my bootloader, but I did it following your guide.
So, I just have to flash the kernel?
And I have one more question: do you have the stock browser of stock ICS rom? And the stock camera? I installed a camera mod but it doens't compatible with JB. Have one .zip in the xperia ray development area, but I don't know if it'll work.
Yes, you just have to flash the kernel like explained in my guide
And no, I don't have the zip. But you could try searching on xda or Google for it

Is there ANY way to do these mods works in my SK17 (Mini pro)? I want to camera mods to my cellphone, but most of them is for ICS. I know about problems with JB Camera Libs, but how mastero9017 could port the cyber-shot mod to his rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290540
In this moment I just want my camera working fine and recording in 720p, but in the future we can wait to camera mods in JB?
Some way to port these camera mods to JB?
I found this a fix to the camera/gallery of JB 4.2, but it's in the xperia RAY area. Will it work in my Mini Pro?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255797
Thank you for your patience with me (some noob) and my bad english.
I'm sorry, but I don't know much about 720p or any camera mods. Maybe some other guy could help you here
But the 3rd link to the 4.2 fix in ray forums should work for your phone too. Try it
