Xperia S...
And if yes, did it stop being yellow or you had to go fix it?
I can see all the apps but it's totally yellow, I think it has something to do with the display wire gone haywire...
I think I got some sweat into it the other day but everything was fine, till now.
Maybe it has something to do with the fact I charged it fully...
I'm so worried...
Damn, need a water resistant phone...
I badly notice it anymore on mine.

You are right, I was sure I did...
But I have an Xperia S.
Anyway, it's NOT the yellow tint!
The whole screen is like black and white, only yellow and white, no other colours...
Than something is probably wrong with your screen that's for sure. You should probably replace your screen/phone with another one.Bring it to Sony or to your Carrier.Depends where you bought it.Bit just in case Google it first

Hi guys
On my SGS2 when the touch buttons are lite part of the light seeps through the gap of the hard button. Does anyone else have this?
I can only see it when it's pretty dark but its very annoying.
I don't have this :s
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Yeah, I have it too, but it's not too bad and only visible from certain angles and in a dark room.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Yeah I sometimes have itbut almost rarely, and like the other guy said only from certain angles when I'm looking for it. I put pressure on the button in that direction and it disappears usually

Ive got this very slightly on the right hand side. I also notice when im reading a web page with a black background the very bottom left has a white spot/pixel, it goes away when you start scrolling. Anyone else got the same problem?

Glad im not the only one who has this. Worth returning over?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Personally It doesn't bother me, its hard to notice and even when I can see it, its really tiny. So to me not a problem

Im guessing you have Optus stock as well?
When you look at the touch button straight on can you see the light?
Mine has the same issue but i dont care.
I can only see it when I'm using the phone when it's completely dark
My wife has a mole but shes still beautiful, can we not get a little obsessed with perfection with our phones? It is after all the slimmest, lightest, dual core power house smart phone out there....forgive its quirks?

My phone did this at first but it went away after a couple weeks as the home button got better seated through use. Definitely not worth returning over.
same here, right hand side!
this was the reason for me to switch off the button lights in settings. looks better anyway
It has to be pretty dark...
didnt realise you could turn the light off

send it back, complain to samsung, demand they redesign the handset!
erm...
This will make it heavier and bulkier!!!
Happens to mine and there is NO PROBLEM with it. Be happy!

And more expensive. All these perfectly good handsets getting returned for new ones have to be paid for somehow.
I switched mine off looks so much better, per sonly I wish it was all black like the nexus s, i think that looks so sexy
Have it too, but dont matter !! I am a perfectionist too ( 620 euros it is for a phone !! ) but i think... i mean ... returning it for this????
If it is same as anyone elses in here its BARELY visible and you should try to find it again.. enjoy your phone. ( there are great chances of getting a same unit back, cause its a design thing i think )
Hey,
have it as well. But I don't really mind.

Hi Ministig
I've got the white spot/pixel issue, only noticed it when I was looking at another site which had a very dark blue background

I picked up a s 3 Sunday and noticed that that screen has a slight yellow tint to it. I've read it could be the glue not fully dried our whatnot. I notice that If I tilt the phone and view it from different angles, then the yellow tint disappears white backgrounds are "white"
Should I take the phone sand exchange it or will this go away?

Go to Settings>Display>Screen and un check auto adjust screen tone then reboot. The yellow tint should be gone.

Greetings. Some of you may have remembered me before, I asked some users here about their experiences with their gs3. Now, I'm about to get my own too So now I want to know, what exact defects or things do I have to check first before deciding which unit to get? Or are there certain serial numbers for units which I have to avoid?

So? I'm asking which things to check first, as based on experience, the One series from HTC has faulty units that has serial numbers starting from sh24 or earlier batches. Things like THESE are what I was asking about and what the hell does it compare to, to a girl? Please don't go off topic and be serious in answering questions. If you have nothing right to say then simply shut up

AFAIK, there isn't something like a faulty batch, there are for sure some reports about issues, but all minor like a yellow tint at white backgrounds or black dots on the screen in dark light conditions with black background (you won't notice it if you don't try to find it) or cracked screen because of clumsy use (but would recommend a case or pouch anyway).
The only real issue (not minor and not user related) I know about has been a charging issue, where the phone could only be charged over pc connection and not with wall charger, but there weren't many having this problem.
Look around and check the threads, could be I missed something, but I guess nothing major.

How long will you keep asking the same question over and over again?
There is a certain production tolerance. If you feel unhappy with your screen, return it and demand for replace.
If not, stay with it.
But for f*cks sake stop trolling everyone in here!

They are not repairing because there is nothing broken.
Whether or not you choose to believe that, you have nowhere else to go now so just get on and enjoy your phone instead of looking for non-existent flaws.

Are you guys seeing vertical lines on your screens? specially when it gets dark (ex: notifications comes down) (it's like pcb lines)
I bought my phone this week and i don't know if this is normal or not...
I can't post any pictures because de screen as a reflection and it doesn't show the lines...

You seem to have a Nexus 4. If you look hard enough, you can see the same lines on that phone too. It's just the screen technology those phones use, it's completely normal.
I understand that but with the Z2 i dont even have to make a effort to see it...
Does it happen to you?

I have a defective unit and no i dont see any lines hence why i said a replacement is needed
The display should be stronger than the avarage human eyes which is 430ppi
Z2 Screen is 442ppi, any lines if existant shouldent be easily seen at all and if any are then there is a problem
I havent seen any at on my phone so id recomend sending yours back for a replacement if posible

I had a nexus 4 and own the Z2 as well. It is perfectly normal. It is the digitiser which is built into the glass screen that you see. If I'm not mistaken, it appears under certain lighting conditions and you can see it at times and cannot at others? It is perfectly normal so don't worry! My N4/Z2 digitiser lines are not extremely visible unless held in certain ways for light to reflect off but my brother's N4 has extremely visible lines for the digitiser! Hope this helps! :highfive:
I've just been to two stores to compare my phone with other Z2's and yes the lines are more pronounced than the others... The funny thing is that my blacks are darker and my whites are whiter... It looks that the screens are different...

Yeah some just happen to have a more defined digitiser but by no means is it something to worry about! That said, you can always return it if it is bothering you though!

It's not like that. The LCD it self is good and i don't even have dead pixels.
What i see is this:
"Polarizer lines"
I think i'm going to return it. With low light it's ok but during the day i can see it very well.
This is the second Z2 that i return. The first one had a tinted red display.
I bought it on a Uk online store that i'm beginning to suspect that is selling second quality items...
Yeah you might have a more visible polarizer on your unit which magus alot of sense
