Hey fellow wing users,
I'm residing in Southern California and they recently passed a law that hands free headsets are required as of July 1st,2008. Just wondering what everyone is using to see what my options are.
If you can please post Brand and Model and where you got it
Best Regards

Yeah im in the military and on any military installation you are required to use hands free. I use a Motorola T505 for in car, it has a pretty loud speaker and can be played through your radio. I use a BlueAnt Z9 for in ear bluetooth. They are both pretty damn good and can be found on Newegg dot com.
Good post
I use the Jawbone its good !!
looking for good excuse to buy new one one plus is the noise cancellation option works
i have first version one new ones thiner
http://www.jawbone.com/
thanks for the replies. both are very good. the jawbone looks nice but how does it function? i'm trying to compromise looks and functionality as much as i can
noise-canceling technology is great
here a good place for some reviews of different ones
it hot don't want to type 104* off to pool
i use the big clunker
http://www.welectronics.com/Bluetooth/motorola_ht820.jpg
but i love it.. when im on the bus i hear no sound when i have the volume up at a good level.. if i want ot hear i lower it and can hear almost everything and my music
there big there ugly
i use them for 45 minutes to a hour a day and charge then every 3 weeks..
but thye are kick a$$
I use Tritton TRI-BH102 it has been pretty good to me. Battery life is 4hours+ constant stream range is limited to 10' anything more than that is most likely to disconnect. The thing I like about it is the 3.5mm jack.
I use the Jabra BT250v for talking. It's not the one in the link, but it looks just like it. It's the loudest and clearest one I've found in the store. It's very comfortable despite the way it looks. I've forgotten that I was wearing it quite a few times. It has an earpiece that goes into your ear and it sounds like the caller is standing next to you. I talk for about 3 hours a day, and I charge it once a week. It was $50 at Best Buy. I liked the SE HBH-610 more, but I don't think they make them anymore. I've heard really good things about all the Plantronics, but they were too expensive for me.
I use the SouthWing SA505 for stereo music. It's loud, music sounds good, and the battery last for months. I use it in the gym for 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, and to talk when I forget to charge my Jabra. I charge it about once every other month, but it's never actually died on me so it could probably go longer. And it was only $23 with shipping on eBay!
I have one by caselogic, a CLST-100
It cost $16 on double clearance, and it works about as much as it costs.
But the fact of the matter is that it works
I'm using both Jawbones (new and original) I find the new one to be more comfortable
man some dope head phones here, made it even harder for me to choose lol .. i was going to stick with a simple motorola but dam hahaha i have more options now
thanks guys keep em coming!
Out of the few BT headsets I have I find I really only use my JVC HAW700BT set anymore. It's got a stereo jack so I can use whatever headphones I like and when not on the phone I can move the main body of it to my belt. This one can also connect to your car stereo if it's got an Aux input and you can use it as a hands-free set. The battery life is excellent... at least for me.
The only "con" for me is that the charger's connection at the bottom of the main body isn't miniUSB, just some plain two pin connector. Gonna make my own adapter for it so I can charge on the go.
http://www.gadgetell.com/tech/comment/jvc-intros-new-bluetooth-transmitter-and-headset/
I haven't looked to see if it's more common now. When I got mine i had a very hard time finding anyone who even had it in their computer, much less in stock, and it wasn't on JVC's site either.
I use the jabra bt8010 stereo headset. I'm simply in love with this thing. the sound quality is outstanding. I find myself using my wing for music more than my ipod because of the headset. If your wearing both pieces phone calls sound as if you are in the same room with the person. check ebay they used to go for between 90.00 and 110.00$$ but now you can find them for as low as $40.00. Now if I could only figure out how to setup my voice command to be used on te headset?
I use a Motorola. Excellent sound quality, And compatible with A2DP ( Music via Bluetooth thing ).

i was looking into this one because of the simplicity of it. right now it seems like the best bang for the buck.
I use the Motorola H700 with no problems
Motorola H700 for me to very good, talking on phone is good, music sounds good ... MSVC sucks big time, i got mine off ebay for 22 bucks
I have the cheapest Jabra I could find in the shop, 10 UK pounds.
It's rubbish. I bought it just to try how bt headsets work.
Interestingly (although maybe I'm the last one to find out), using the attached cab I can send all sound through it whether it likes it or not (it would only work when there's a call otherwise).
What is the model number for Motorola BT head set
I would like to get some advice on which earphones I should get for the X10... I would like them for music... not too fussed if they have a mic or not...
Any advice appreciated
Thanks
I'm using these Sennheisers with my white X10:

They also have a black version. These earphones are pretty cheap ( I bought them for 20 euros, they sound good , nice deep tones and bass)
Ouch, Sennheiser. They make great headsets but for me those bass-tones is way too much. Personally I use d-Jays. Crisp yet powered sound. I love them. Edit: Forgot price. Lol. In Sweden I can get them for about $100 and that's pretty nice. But yeah, it's way more than €20.
Looking to get a set of BH-905's when I get a free bit of cash!
Seemingly I cant post a link to them as thats not permitted for newbies
Just to help you out, here's a pic of them.
Are you guys able to speak into the phone's Mic when using your own earphones during a call? Mine can't and I have to plug them out when a phone comes in.
Im thinking about getting the CX500 earphones... got a price of £29.99... which seems to be good...
I want to have bassy sound but want my mids and trebles...
I am currently using boss earphones...
CX500's sound good. I can't remember what mine are, but they are Sennheisers that have exactly the same buds as the Sennheisers Sony Ericsson use on their HBH-DS970 bluetooth headphones.
For arguements sake, the DS970's go louder than when using the headphone socket on the X10, but the headphone socket sounds nicer.
Been doing some comparisons Nexus vs X10 vs iPod Touch 3G with the same headphones.
Nexus goes louder than X10, quality doesn't sound as good, but it's rooted with Cyanogen which makes the volume louder.
Touch goes a lot louder than both devices, enough to hurt my ears, but does so with high quality. I can't decide whether or not the quality is better than the X10, it's very close.
My headphone tastes are bias towards bass, but I do like the mids and treble to remain...just like to have a thump also!

Is it a european or american touch?
The european union puts a volume restriction on the iPods sold in europe, therefore an american (or asian or whatever) iPod Touch would be louder than a european one.
(just thought that might be a factor in the volume department)
Not all european iPod's are subject to such measures IIRC. I know france is, and it is something I checked before purchase, as a 85dB limit would have been no good!

iems ike westone, shures or etymotic are great. just be forewarned they are pricey. my westone um1 were bout 120. amazing clear sound but the bass isn't very heavy
I'm using the first half of the standard headphones (MH 500).. So this gives me the microphone and allows me to take calls etc.. .then I plug in my JVC HA FX-300's (c. £50)..

I can't wait to get mine. I sent in the Rogers promo claim form on Monday, so it'll be a few weeks at least.
I'm using the included X10 headphones right now, which are decent. I'm surprised that for earbuds that don't go into the ear canal, they actually stay in my ears pretty well (most such earbuds I've tried don't).
I did take a quick look at the local shopping center today while I way there for some buds that wrap over the ear, as I find them more comfortable and they stay in my ear better. However, I couldn't find any headphones of any style that had short cords like the ones included in the X10. Since the X10 has the mic dongle (which I use) I don't want to have an extra few feet of cable hanging around.
Anyone found any decent headphones that are on a short cable like those included with the X10?
I am using MW600 too.
I find the volume control is not that sensitive.
I have to swipe a couple of time before I can get it working.
Is it normal?
So the other day I tried listening to some tunes on my Amaze with the HTC ear phones that came in the box.
Holy crap. For a phone with such nice build quality, it was a complete shock to find out how disappointing the ear phones were. The control buttons on the HTC ear phones are nice, but those I can do without. The sound quality is simply god awful compared to the in-ear earphones that came with my old Samsung Galaxy S. No matter how much I tweaked with PowerAmp and DSP Manager settings, I couldn't get the sound output to be satisfactory, so I'm wondering if you guys could share with me some suggestions for a pair of nice ear phones to plug into my Amaze since I'll be using this handset as a music player pretty often.
I listen to a variety of genres, but most of my playlist consists of progressive trance so I'm looking for both bass and clarity.
Let me know what your suggestions are, thanks
I use Skullcandy Ink'd headphones for my Amaze 4G for music and on my Nook Tablet when watching stuff on netflix/hulu. They sound great, and have good bass and clarity, but that's just my opinion, so your mileage may vary.
You can get them in regular headphones or one with an inline button/mic for phone calls
I bought these ones yesterday http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M8SAJ4/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details according to the reviews are really good, once I got em in my hands I will update this post
Ok, a thread I can contribute to
Alright, so I'm a bit of an audiophile, and if you don't mind spending a decent amount of change take these headphones into consideration:
http://www.shure.com/americas/produ...nes/se-models/se215-sound-isolating-earphones
They are 100$, BUT have one of the best in ear seals I have ever seen on headphones, a wrap around cable that you place behind the ear that you don't even notice when walking / running / working out, detachable cable so if your cable dies, you can order a new one for cheap and just pop off the bud's and reattach them to the new cable, AMAZEing noise cancellation (I can't hear a thing thats going around me on a busy bus), flat frequency response (which is good for a DJ / Producer like myself, but also for you because you can go into DSP manager to add as many Db's or take away them as you please to get more BASS), it comes with tons of bass out of the box thanks to the good in ear seal, and finally, the cable is kevlar lined, so you can treat it like crap unlike most skullcandys that I used to own and it wont break
Just my two cents, also please excuse the run-on

I was just about to post the same thing, then saw your post, yeah X2 on the turbines. Best in-ear headphones I've ever listened to. The price is well worth it, although I did get mine for free.

Newegg has the OCX 880 on sale for $59.99 with free shipping.

I ordered mine a few days ago for 59.99 and regret I didn't wait for a few more day. Don't know how the sound is but based on rewiews from Head-fi forum, the OCX 880 needs at least 48hours burn-in period to get the best of it.

Just wanted to know if anyone was using bluetooth headphones on their Rezound? Any recommendations in the $50 range? How does the DSPManager sound with them? I need something that will get me through an 8 hour work day without having to charge off and on. Thanks in advanced!
I have a pair of Motorola Bluetooth stereo headphones that work great. They are the behind the ear model. I've had them for about a year now and the battery still holds about a 10 hour charge.
I don't use the equalizer with them on this set, but on my old phone (Samsung Charge) the Bluetooth sound was not controlled by the settings for the amp
Motorola S305
I actually haven't used them with my Rezound yet, but I have a pair of the Motorola S305s as well and they worked great with my Incredible. Very durable, great sound quality, great battery life, reliable Bluetooth connection.

I have the Motorola SD-10HDs and they work great aswell. DSPManager works when you set the bluetooth settings. My headphones are also sweat proof.
Awesome! Thanks for the response everyone! Any thoughts on any bluetooth earbuds? I tend to find them more comfortable to listen to but I'm open to checking out the suggestions everyone made.
Gotta wait for my Rezound to come back from repair. Hopefully they're fixing my headphone output but if they don't, I'll look into bluetooth headphones as an option.

These are amazing headphones, I ended up breaking mine by accident and ended up getting the Jabra Halo set (also sold at Bestbuy). They are a bit more pricy but they were worth it to me. They fold up real nice and hold up a really great charge, used them for 3 days without charging, and they have some great sound quality to them, also has some cool touch-like controls on it for volume, skipping tracks and making/taking calls. Call quality is pretty nice too
I have a set of these:
I got these for a penny + shipping from Tmobile (it was on slickdeals.net it was incorrectly priced and was only up for a few hours) and I couldn't be happier. Glad I finally got rid of the cord. I can listen to music, answer phone calls, adjust volume, skip songs. Simply amazing.

JayBird- Freedom Bluetooth Earbud Headphones
Great sound for music and while talking. Extra earbuds to find the right fit. Holds about a 8-10 hr charge while using. Days on standby. Only problem is the rubber piece that covers up the usb port is hard to get opened if you have big fingers. Other than that a great pair of headphones for under $100.

These type of earphones are called earbuds.
I have bought mine from Aliexpress (a site like ebay), and they have been working great so far.
If you actually enjoy music, pick up one of these to try with a decent pair of headphones. Sky's the limit price wise on headphones so it depends on your budget. If you want a good cheap pair i would recommend these.
I strongly recomend Philips SHE8005 headphones .

I was just looking at that Aliexpress, http://gaga.aliexpress.com/210698610-1110017854-detail.html?spm=a2704.6645961.3.1. Whoa.
Must be some fake or something
Not sure whether it is fake, but we will never know. I have seen some of these extreme deals on aliexpress, the fact is that there are only 5 for this price and they run out as soon as the deal comes alive (= in less than a second) However, I do not recommend buying such things, the devil never sleeps.
But what you would buy on ebay, you can buy from aliexpress too, I did not have a single problem with them and they have a large selection of earphones/earbuds/headphones.
I recommend Panasonic RP-HJE120-K, they'r cheap and play very good, like hi-end earphones if You like warm, clear sound, especially with V4A.

Fiio amps (or portable amps in general) are really intended for full-sized over the ear headphones. The added power is much more apparent because IEMs (earbuds) are already running at just about the peak of their power. I will say, though, that I own a Fiio E6 with a pair of NuForce NE-700M (a top-ranker in multiple sub-$100 quality lists, including Wired.com; can be had for $75, $65 without the microphone), and there is a notable difference in dynamic range and achievable volume.
