Intro
Our fun continues, from Froyo, passed Gingerbread, and now to Ice Cream Sandwich...
Many of you may know, I have been away for quite a while. I've been quite busy with my personal life. My baby is now a little bigger, and there's less stress for me. I suddenly found some free time during weekends.
So, here it is, the third ROM series, "IScreamDX"... I believe many of you have screamed "DX!!!" when first seeing this thread, it worths its name. And also the pronounciation is similar to Ice Cream Sandwich Like previously with FroyoBread and GingerDX, our main goal is to have a fast, smooth and lightweight CM9 based ROM with some special features.
This series is developed, tested and released by TeamFun (doixanh, B.Jay, eagleeyetom and djnilse). Basically it's doixanh + Team GingerDX.
I have to take several lib/configuration files from MiniCM9. Approved by nobodyAtall. Thanks a lot, man.

Install instruction
1. Download
2. Copy to sdcard
3. Reboot to CWM
4. Install custom zip
5. Reboot
All versions will preserve your DATA partition. You don't need to worry about your data. However, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (but optional) to make a full wipe after flashing (step 4).

IScreamDX is not open source at the moment. We will publish source as we see suitable.
"Soft-Modders" modifying pre-built ROMs, or using parts thereof, are exempt from the licensing terms. You are NOT allowed to modify the pre-built ROM, or any parts thereof, in any way, shape, or form without express permit.

IScreamDX natively supports T-Mobile themes. You can find other themes in the list of available T-Mobile themes in XDA CM9/AOKP theme thread.
Download the theme of your choice onto your phone, install it and use Settings/Theme to select theme.

1. You can report bugs in this thread and suggest additions, but understand we're not obligated to fix or include them. We'll fix what is needed, and we'll include what makes sense.

3. Regarding the copyright branding at the bottom in Lockscreen: It will NOT be removed. Don't PM/Post to ask for the removal or nag otherwise.
4. If you have battery drain, try the following:
Clear battery stats in recovery.
Freeze unused services (like Email, DSP Manager, Maps). This is important.
Turn OFF 'Allow mock locations'.
Don't set brightness too high.
Don't install too many unused apps.
Turn OFF WiFi, 2G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth when not in use.
Reboot after you listen to music. Music service caused battery drain (in the past).
Generally, we usually get 2-3 days out of a charge (give or take depending on usage).
5. If you still have battery drain after following Step 4, try:
Full wipe in recovery, re-install IScreamDX.
Use Stock ROM for several days to see if the battery problem is caused by IScreamDX or not.
If it doesn't drain, try installing one of your apps, test battery for a day, install another one, and test.
and so on...
That way you will know what's the cause of your battery drain.

It's on our list to try and make it work on Stock.
For that to happen we, however, need to write quite a few things from scratch and also find a way to make the ICS Adreno libs working with Stock.
In short: It may take some time to get it riddled.

Since you can't upgrade the hardware of the X8 ... I think you have to stick to the hardware specs the X8 give you.
APP2SD is not enabled by default? After downloading some apps i was about to move them to SD Card but the button is disabled ?

i think that the problem is that phone doesn't recognize the sim card (it says sim card isn't inserted) - this bug was presented in first MiniCM9 rom too, there was a simple hotfix for it
edit: here is the hotfix, can somebody try if it works?
Nice to see a ICS DX rom...
Its there any possibility to use some libs (like camera) from the Samsung galaxy ACE ICS rom?....
I mean, the hardware it´s similar...

This is my own ROM built from clean CyanogenMod sources plus nAa's MiniCM7 sources to make it more compatible with X10 mini device.. So, This ROM running the latest CM7 sources.This is NOT another themed ROM! I have made this ROM Compitable with nAa14 with awesome performance..My first ROM was GingerSony for shakira ( XPERIA X8 ) 2nd was for mimmi ( X10 mini pro ) so i made it for x10 mini ( robyn ) too should we start the fun?? (Just amazing, perfectly smooth) so you should have it now, right?

Pretty much everything is working.
Reporting Bugs:
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running custom kernel, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Please use the project's tracker for reporting bugs. Please file them properly following the template or they will be discarded.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.
Requirements:
A X10 mini device
CWM Recovery
Unlocked bootloader
Latest nAa kernel
Download Rom , and latest kernel (nAa)
Flash kernel using flashtool
Boot into CWM
Wipe Data
Flash the ROM
Reboot and Enjoy!

After first installation, it may be a bit lag..The lag will gone and performance will automatically increase after 10min!
Please make sure you followed the above steps before reporting any issues, especially 'wipe data/factory reset'
If you're having trouble booting while using nAakernel, please follow these steps
1.Turn off your phone
2.Remove the SDcard
3.Turn on your phone without the SDcard
4.After successfully booted into the ROM, insert your SDcard!
If you having bugs on Fonts ( or if you dont like it ) you can flash thisHOTFIX
If you have battery drain issue, try this following:

The Slim Roms+ for X10 Mini was inspired by tchaari and A_U, so I made it for X8, too.
This was first made for X10 Mini and made it for X8 by sgt.meow's request
The same kind of project is already in progress in Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Ace, X8 etc...
TO BE SURE, I simply removed useless apps, fonts, ringtones that bloat our device. Anyway you can simply download their duplicates from Play Store.
This will save a lot of space in the system, ultimately improving the performance upto some extent.

What makes Slim Roms+ good? Let's find it out![/B]
Features
1. Our phone has very less RAM to run ICS or JB in fully optimised manner. So these ROM's slightly fulfil that requirement. As the apps in these ROM's occupy very less RAM of around, 20 to 30 MB only !
2. Due to less RAM consumption, phone tends to be more responsive, smooth and faster !
3. Overall performance increases roughly around, 5 times !
4. If you are a benchmark believer, then AnTuTu scores were also slightly higher compared to the original ROM's
5. These lite ROM's along with any script like Adrenaline Engine, can boost your performance slightly higher.
6. These ROM's can be used as a daily driver, thanks to nAa and all of his team members!!
7. Slim ROM's have slightly higher battery backup compared to the original ROM's. For me atleast, i.e; with minimal usage the phone lasts around =TESTING
8. So use these ROM's and decide what is best for you.
9. There's nothing great about these ROM's. BUT, their SIZE speaks for them !

NOW IT IS: 83MB
10. Going into details, I simply removed useless apps, fonts, ringtones that bloat our device. Anyway you can simply download their duplicates from Play Store. This will save a lot of space in the system, ultimately improving the performance upto some extent

13. I have removed bloatware in to the maximum extent possible, but still if you feel there exists such an app which is useless, inform me, I will remove it
14. Finally, I ensure there was no warez used to create these ROM's
15. On a side note I removed all the boot-animations to conserve space. ICS & JB have their own in-built boot-splash. While in CM7 there is no such facility, the screen will be blank, so don't worry you did not brick your phone

How-To Install
1. Reflash latest nAa kernel using flashtool
2. Enter CWM
3. Enter mount and storage
4. Select format system then format ext and press back button
5. Select full wipe
6. Select wipe cache
7. Enter advanced
8. Select wipe dalvik cache
9. Select wipe battery stat
10. Now search for the ROM and flash it.
11. Reboot your phone
12. Enjoy !!

Its up to the developers, they can give permissions or they can keep their work to themselves with no further modifications... once they have have published it to public, its understood that its free to use and customize it anyway, unless they specially mention it in big bold letters sayin "i will not allow anyone tamper my work".
So I AM NOT STEALING ANYONE'S BLOODY DAMN ROM. This is open-source world, u need to be careful with words.
and my idea is not to make only calls and sms.... some of u got it totally wrong.
u can install the applications that i removed from ROM's from play store... what's the point in slowing down the phone [though lag is insignificant], which already has such less ram.. ?if we had at least 512 Mb RAM, I wouldn't care to touch any ROM, least "slim" it...
So u can install the apps that i deleted, in the partition or sd card or whatever.... this saves a lot of space in system, which MAY help the heavy application/game run slightly smoother bcoz of availability of memory..

Short review:
This ROM does its name proud; it is super light and comes with very few apps installed. On the other hand this could pose a problem for people who need a thousand apps for this and that. Solution? Simple. Download the necessary apps. It's quite fast and if you're a benchmark-guy, I got 3881 on my kernel with no tweaks other than the CPU float point fix, which, unfortunately doesn't come with the ROM. I cannot really comment on battery life as my phone's been plugged in for the whole evening. The lack of a File Manager does make it difficult for people to install apps instantly, but ADB does the trick neatly.
All in all, if you're looking for performance and features, this is the ROM for you.

It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway. This ROM is made for the SEMC msm7x27 devices..And yes..we will release nightly until this ROM has reached till the end,Now we should start! Just amazing, perfectly smooth so you should have it now, right?

If you have battery drain issue, try this following:
Generally, I usually get 2-3 days out of a charge (give or take depending on usage).
Clear battery stats in recovery
Don't set brightness too high
Turn off Wifi, 2G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth when not in use!
Don't install too many unused apps ( install needed apps )
Freeze unused services like (DSP Manager, Maps, Facebook, Music)

The sound is the one thing that is messing all roms and no one is beng able to fix it, and even mporting some files from the ics working version the sound is still the same so i think that for now no one is able to do it unless someone Completes the WIP library :S, and like you know music is a very important thing in a rom, for now i'll be using your gingersony . If this rom is almost the same as others ( even if it is better in performance and stuff ), i think the only bugs would be the radio by bluettoth, sound volume/quality, distorted letters/numbers in some places like the status bar, and maybe the keyboard not working properly if you don't import the fix for it. I think that is it for now.

I almost forgot, yesterday i give a try on porting roms, i tested to combine gingersony with arc mini and the rom had 11mb less in winrar and it was working xD, it was just an experience for fun and i am now back to your gingersony original rom xD. But my question is: can i port mini x10 roms to mini pro x10? or what kind of rom imports can i make? i wanted to try to make a stable rom myself 2 xD.

As always, I want say thanks for all big names here, my testers, my friends, and all community (especially thanks for sources of CM10 from CMX10, CM TEAM, FXP and FeraVolt for sources which was helpful in Kernel development ;]).
Welcome once again! As you should know, 6 projects will appear in right time, 3 for X10 and 3 for Play, but the first one is DiXperia X/10, as I still love and support this device ^^. No need to write too much about it, cause you already know what is this and how to play with it! C'mon!
DiXperia X/10 is my second ROM on Jelly Bean with Cyanogen Mod 10.
Only one version is planned, and I can't promise any more unexpected ROMs by me (like always, my life changed much and my free time is not big as was before ).
Most of features are written below, so start reading this big thread! Hope you still want do that, and use my ROM :fingers-crossed:.
Based on CM10 and Android 4.1.2 JB, with Sony Xperia apps and framework.
Create Yourself ™ - my own idea. You've seen this in all DiXperias - it's something like "you choose stuff and version you like, and if you need something, you just apply this like extra file. No need to delete tons of apps you don't using and won't" - it's simple, fast, and has potential .
DX Engine ™ - Kernel for DiXperia projects!
Playstation Certificate.
Track ID.
Walkman player.
Changing music via volume buttons, and music in lockscreen.
Facebook.
Xperia Z keyboard (with features like swipe or voice writing), lockscreen.
Scripts, tricks, tweaks - they promise lot of fun, lot of performance and lot of stability ^^.
I think it's enough but you know it's not everything - I'm sure I missed a lot of features, but it's up to you to test it yourself if you really want to using this ROM.
Just come and get it in second post .
Of course Root + Busybox.
Unlocked Bootloader.
Required Kernel (could be any for JB ROMs, but I suggest mine DX Engine made by extremetempz).
CWM Recovery.
Read how to install CM10 ROMs if you'd never use any of them -> 1 and 2, thanks guys, I hope you don't mind that I post your words - all credits go to you with this instructions .
Download ROM (+ optional addons) and put it on your SD Card.
Flash correct Kernel through FlashTool (.ftf file).
Go to CWM Recovery and make Full Wipe and Wipe Cache, then clean your Dalvik, fix Battery and Fix Permissions.
Choose .zip to flash and select my ROM. Wait...
Done! Reboot and feel free to use this!
After first boot, wait a minute or two to make touch responsive working - it need few moments to apply some tweaks before using.

Don't want make mess here, so just go and read Suggestions, cause there are some nice advices to get DX X/10 working like it should (we need change some settings after flashing and booting ROM ).
Post #4 explains everything .
And bugs are in 3rd post .
After flashing and booting DX X/10 successfully, just follow some steps:
-> Go to Settings -> Performance -> In/Out Plan -> and set on boot and choose BFQ or CFQ (optional).
-> Go to Settings -> Performance -> CPU -> and set required frequency etc. (read below which one is the best in my opinion).
-> Go to Settings -> Dev Settings -> and change animations option (there are 3) from 1x to disabled (or 0.5x if you realized that after "disabled" you have non responding launcher). Also, you can try untick GPU rendering to draw 2D, but I'm not sure if this helpful, or not.
-> Install some camera app, I deleted the stock one, cause it contains also Gallery and we don't need it - we have Sony Album or QuickPic (the best gallery in my opinion). I'm using Camera Zoom FX or Videocam Illusion (to fix problem with camcorder in JB).

Golden-Suggestion #2 -> I want this thread clean best possible. Of course you can write here anything is connected with DX X/10 project, you can write some reviews, write about bugs if you find some which was not posted before, give link for some videopresentation if you made some, screenshots and more, more. But please - if you want thanks to me or anyone, click THANKS button, or if you want write some "little-offtop" go to Discussion Thread(thanks to keenofhiphop and all guys who will help him in support of my ROM ), where you can talk about everything, not DX X/10 only ^^.
And:
- Don't use any backup! (it doesn't mean you must delete yours, but be sure that it can create some problems. If you replace backup and everything is cool - that's cool! )
- After flash my system give it 1 day for better stability and the second one for applicate all scripts/tweaks/tricks.
- Flash every addon separately.
- Simple, but no one understand it. If you want to have better battery life just decrase brightness.
- In my opinion, smartassV2 or interactiveX (choose yourself), and frequency of CPU 384-1190MHz gives awesome stability and performance (if not 1190 then use 1113) .

About testers - it's really incredible, I get many messeages today, while I didn't get much when I asked many times on General section, inside DiXperia Projects thread, so I'm little confused, why people don't look inside other categories than development. Of course todays messeages from optional testers are appreciated and I will send links to test for all eager. This time, please follow all steps written in this thread, as it's complete except ROM and Kernel link. For now, Kernel is in development, we need figure some things before relase. For now, use any of JB Kernels. One more important thing - all guys who want to get it and sent me already messeage today - DO NOT POST LINK FOR ANYWHERE, if we complete our tests, I will relase the ROM and that's all. Thank you one more time.

ROM will be out for all 1st July. Just be patient just less than 10 hours to get it - I will send PMs for all guys who helped me in test, and Premium Users - just PM me too get it as I have too much members in this, so can't send for all. Thanks for all!

Hi DikeJ, Just installed the ROM.... its awesome as I said of the earlier test version also... and WIFI problem got fixed too... The rom is really responsive and super smooth... I made some screenshots and posting them here... Thanks to a wonderful ROM buddy... lets see how it goes with battery usage...Thanks ...
