Maybe your sim needs activating, I would suspect the problem lies with your sim rather than the phone. Try the sim in another phone maybe, just use the micro sd adapter, they usually come with one

Hello,
I normally live in Germany, and use a pre-paid Vodafone SIM in my XDA there. I am in France for a while, and because my SIM is pre-paid there is no global roaming. So I bought a local pre-paid SIM, but it doesn't work in my XDA, can't find a network. But the new SIM works fine in my friend's Nokia... And my XDA is not locked, it was locked to O2 when I bought it but I used the tool from this site to unlock it...
Does anyone have any idea why it can't find a network, even though the SIM works in a Nokia? I thought maybe the band switching tool could be useful, but I think Germany and France use the same band so that won't make any difference... Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Suzie
Gurus:
I have tmobile mda II and bought the dual sim card from UK. (King of Double)
IT does not work. It does not even recognize the original tmobile SIM card. I trieed using one sim slot while the dual sim adapter was plugged in the MDA II. MDA does not recognize and it says' Invalid SIM...'.
Does it only work with GSM SIMS? I have tmobile SIM that is for USA only and one from Vietnam.
Gurus, please help with regards to any special configuration, version of ROM, flight mode, etc.
I have a duel sim adaptor as well. I had used it very well. But, one of my friend has the same probelm as you. Before he can use the adaptor, he had asked the supplier replace the adaptor for almost ten times. Good luck to you.
I have never had a problem with the Ghost sim's
I bought a Moto E in Chile several months ago. It came with a SIM card from the company Claro, but they assured me it was unlocked. I switched the SIM to my Entel SIM card, and it worked fine. I took a trip to the U.S. and tried to use a SIM card from someone else's phone, but it asked for a PIN. I just figured the SIM was PIN locked, gave up and forgot about it. Now I'm in Colombia, and I tried several SIM cards from Claro, but they don't work. With my Chilean Entel SIM card, I still get roaming network access, but if I put any other SIM in (even my Chilean Claro SIM), I get no signal. Bizarre because the phone was originally a Claro phone.
So did the Entel SIM card somehow lock my phone to Entel?? That's the only explanation I can think of... If so, how can I unlock it?

Bands might not be supported! That's the best probable explanation since you have an unlocked phone, inserting a sim shouldn't lock it!

I checked that just in case, but the bands are supported. Anyway, if the bands weren't supported I wouldn't get roaming access with my Entel SIM either, right?
The people at Claro (and at Movistar too) told me I need to contact the store where I bought the phone and ask them for an unlock code. Unfortunately I don't have the receipt with me in Colombia, and I don't remember which store I bought the phone at... I guess I'll try just emailing every store I might have bought it at, but if that doesn't work, what other option do I have?
Hi
For my work I use two sim cards from two different countries, and I bought Italian TIM brand of ZE554KL with TIM firmware, thinking that it was DUAL SIM
Even the seller had told me that this phone is dual sim.
Unfortunately, it's not, end there is not any entry regarding dual sim operation in connection menu.
For me this is a problem, because I should use two phones.
I know that many users in Italy who have this phone, have this same problem.
All the two SIMs work well. BUT…
If I want to use Tim sim, I have to put it in the first place in the card tray, or when I have to use Telenor Sim, then I put the Telenor Sim in the first place on card tray.
Simply, every time I should change the place of the sims.
With two sim, one, or no sim inserted, the management of the sim does not exist.
Question:
Is it possible that this phone is different in the hardware configuration for the Italian brend TIM (without internal contacts for the second SIM), or is it only a matter of software management?
I kindly ask you to give me an answer regarding the possibility of enabling the second sim.

C.P/N: ASUSZE554KL
Build:TIM_ZE554KL
Thank you very much.

Hello, just a quick question about using international sim card. I'm traveling to the Philippines in a week and wanted to know if a sim from the Philippines would work with my unlocked S23U, purchased from Samsung, currently running S918USQU1AWC8
Previously, I had only bought carrier phones and on my last trip, I had to only go to the T-Mobile app to unlock the phone and was able to use a Philippine sim after that.
So is there a way to check if it would work? Your help is greatly appreciated

I would suggest you to take a look at eSIM option instead. Easier to acquire and better solution for short travelling.
