Samsung confirm which devices will get Jelly Bean

How come Samsung Galaxy mini 2 gets the update and Smasung Galaxy Ace won't?

Because Galaxy Ace is old armv6 piece of junk(old cpu, low RAM and internal memory), Mini2 is much better, just check specifcation.
If you want official JB buy new phone and stop whining

Well, according with the specifications in this site, "gsmarena", the only major improvment I see in Galaxy Mini 2, is the Internal Memory (512 MB RAM vs 278 MB RAM)...the Chipset, CPU and GPU features are the same...

Our old ace is ARMv6 as simple as that.

no, i9003 is a variant on the sg1

This version will have the Tegra 2 processor and S-Amoled instead of GT 9100 which will have Exynos + S-AMOLED.

Please don't add more confusion by adding i9103 to the equation, there is also a i9003 which is a version of the old Galaxy S-

i9003 is a pretty new phone, released in february this year, so it makes some sense to mix them up. But not for me (and probably you) since I've read every thread at XDA about i9100

Ace 2 but if u want u can get all the features Of ace 2 except the CPU and gpu power on Ace

Ace 2 has an ips display and wvga screen as a result it supports HD games so it is DEFINITELY wayyyyy better than ace

SO, is the chance of getting full fledged JB rom for our phone growing, an official CM10 or AOKP JB with good camera quality?
Edit: When I checked GSMArena in evening, Galaxy Mini2 spec had only MSM7227(which has ARMV6 instruction set), so it seems strange to me to see Mini2 to get JB update,still I got excited. But now after 3 hours GSMArena updated Mini2 spec page and it is saying Mini2 has MSM7227A!!!..which probably got ARM v7 instruction set. So no change of scenario for P500
Is there a diff between Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500 and Samsung Galaxy mini 2 because in different sources the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 have armv7 and Samsung Galaxy mini 2 S6500 have the same spcecs of o1...

From what i can see here there are some differences:

p500 has Qualcomm MSM7227 (Armv6), the mini 2 Qualcomm MSM7227A (Armv7A)
p500 has 512 Mb storage, the mini 2 nearly 4gb
those are the two main problems whe have in porting JB to our old p500
May be possible

You can obviously tell this isn't entirely correct. I doubt Samsung will update the S2 and Note 1 but not the Note 2. I'll be surprised if the S2 even gets an update. When it got jellybean it was a pleasant surprise.

My thoughts exactly, I can't see them still supporting the S2 at this point. Looking forward to seeing if this pans out for the Mega though.

I would not be surprised. The post says KitKat especially targets low-memory devices as one of its selling points is a new kernel with a smaller footprint to enable apps run smoother on low-memory devices.

Well I doubt samsung will update s2 and other same year models to kitkat.
Anyone who believes that list of devices is anything other than fantasy is very gullible. There is no way on earth the Note 1 will get an official upgrade to 4.4.

Not an official update i believe but maybe a custom rom for it as i have my note 1 on 4.3 now for a while already...backup phone that is for now.

Do you know if the Samsung Galaxy Duos FAME S6812B will also receive?
I love how they made it sound like 4.4 would be able to be loaded on all Android devices like you do say windows on any pc, yet here we are having to wait for them to "roll it out". It's why I don't bother worrying about updates and getting inferior devices like the Nexus phones. lol.

I am wondering about the differences between the two (Ace 4 and Ace 4 neo). Are roms inter-compatible? Or do they *need* to be for one or the other? Since there is no separate page for the neo, I am thinking maybe they are almost the same? But maybe I am wrong.
