Tesla works ok.. Except when the screen turns off
When it does, the LED flashes, and then after a few seconds the phone crashes and I have to hold the power button to get it to power back on

Yeah same issue here, I just set the option in TeslaLED to always keep the screen on.
Hi, I'm the dev of TeslaLED. I don't have a Galaxy S2 yet. Can some of you guys test this beta:

Once installed if Auto isn't working well can you try manually setting the different LED Methods and seeing if any of them work well?
Thanks,

Lol this is really easy, install easy battery saver from the market. I think you need to install easy task killer first. Then in the easy battery saver app, choose either general or intelligent power saving mode. There, your WiFi will turned off automatically when your phone sleeps. I use it and it works

last option left is reflash via wotanserver
same problem here, but the solution is simple.. really simple..
I take it you're on Inteli Mode right?
you just need to add the wireless widget then stop and start the wireless again
then your wireless will sleep when the display is turn off
cheers
I noticed my wifi dies out when locked and getting bad battery life. I took a three hour nap and if went down 15-20%. I noticed my bfs galaxy notes wifi is constant(using the same wifi) even when his screen is off and he's at 14 hours at 40%.
So i guess my question is what is the norm as far as wifi connectivity goes and why does mine disconnect and his stay on? Defective device?

U can change the settings under wifi settings, press menu and then advanced settings.

Holy crap thank you. I had no idea there was an extra advanced menu. =]

Not really sure why this is kept under advanced settings menu..how i'd do it..
Wifi toggled off, hide wifi sleep policy.
Toggle wifi on, wifi sleep policy shows up underneath. Press on this, notification bubble(similiar to how you pick your ringtones/fonts) pops up with the two or three options..
I never understood the need to hide things in "Advanced Menus", just only show what's pertinent to what the user has enabled.
My battery was draining really quickly before I did this. Now everything is much more as expected.
See photo:
The scanning icon comes up every 5 seconds. Just wondering is this normal or what? Never showed up on my S2.
Also I keep getting a "connected to wifi network" notification at the bottom of my screen every few mins. Can't find anything to disable this.
Anyone in same boat?
It looks like its having problems keeping connected to your network, but its strange as you got full bar connection does it drop to nothing or is go very low when it reconnects?
This can be controlled with Rom Toolbox if you are rooted. I do it with my Note.

It sometimes goes off(wifi) when I turn off the screen.

if the wifi switches off on screen of thats wifi sleep policy, I don't know if thats under battery saver feature so if you have that on that could be why ill take a look.
*edit*
So I had a look if you go to Wi-Fi and click on it and navigate to advance you can change the "keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to always. It should stay on all the time now which hopefully should fix your problem

Tried that but still the problem is there. If I turn screen off for a min or 2 and turn it back on then there's no wifi icon for a few seconds. I thought having it on always means it stays consistently connected to wifi? This doesn't seem to be the case as the "connected to wifi network " message appears at bottom of screen again.

I am rooted.
Screen is not dimming, smart stay is off, and timeout has been changed between 15-30 seconds. Phone still does not autosleep. SmartStay is off, tried toggling it as well.
Any suggestions?
Reboot fixed it for me

Same here.
This happens every two days or so.
I'm just paranoid I will fall asleep without knowing about this and have a screen with burn in. Luckily, last night my battery was low and died so it shut off. Otherwise, i'd probably have a status bar burnt to the top of my screen.
I've found the smart stay feature to be flaky at best. I suggest people not use the feature and set a display timeout and adjust ones app settings. I know some ebook programs like to keep the screen on.

I had the same issue but since unlocking, wiping and moving to beans v2 it hasn't come back but we'll see if that lasts.

I'm assuming you are Korean based on your username... If you are playing any Kakaotalk games, including anipang, dragonflight.. so on.. kill that app after you are done playing. That will take care of it. I think that is the reason why reboot cures it.
