Any suggestion for earphones under 1k?
I am a bass hunter so need the lows deep but that should not affect mids and lows majorly.
Any suggestions?
I got my Brainwavz M5 IEM Earphone this morning and am pretty happy with them.
Here's a [p]review http://www.head-fi.org/t/626119/preview-brainwavz-m5
I got them from mp4nation.net with free world-wide shipping with FedEx.

Try these guys, I'm sure they can arrange shipping to India. I've bought my last 3 canalphones from them, fantastic service & no nonsense advice (they won't try & sell you something purely to sell you something). Have a look & find a few you like, then head on over to their forums & ask for some suggestions; give them your budget, what types of music you listen to/what kind of sound you like (bassy, neutral, etc) & what kind of headphones you want (canalphones, earbuds, etc, etc) & the staff there will give you some suggestions.
I highly recommend Koss Porta Pro. I just bought them yesterday (it costed about 34 €) and they are amazing. It has got good quality of sound and really amazing bass. You can order them from internet also.

Hey guys,
I dropped by one of the electronics store randomly and found a Klipsch Image S4i.
It's basically the S4 with a built-in mic but its made specific for the iPhone. I really want it but I'm not sure whether the mic will work on the X10 or not cuz I've heard complaints about other earphones not working as well. Any of you guys ever tried it? The S4 is one of the best in-ears you could find at that price range so I think if it works fine on the X10, it's worth the money
Here's a link to the product page: http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/image-s4i-overview/
Oh, and I think the white S4 should match a white X10 perfectly, although I have a black one
hey i had s4i for my iphone 3gs and sold the 3gs and bought x10 so the ones with mic doesnt work with x10 no headphones with mic works with x10 i tried them all u name it. so i changed it with s4 wow amazing sound quality . i had many choices but i went for s4 and really happy with it and for the money u get best earphones and im sure ull be happy with it. and also check NuForce NE-7M i heard they r really good too but havnt tried them yet also MEElectronics M11P these 3 earbuds are amazing id still go for s4

I got a headset with my phone and the mic works on them.
The sound quality isn't too great, though. And no, I don't mean during a call, I'm talking about the clarity with music.

hmm, i guess I'll get the S4 instead. I emailed Klipsch about the problem with the S4i but they never got back to me. I was looking for a headset that has a mic to use along with the X10 but I guess none of them work...for now at least. It might be software fixable. Anyway, thanks for the replies, I appreciate them

I'm pretty sure the iphone doesn't use the sleeve of the TRRS plug for the ground like the x10 and most standard electronics. It uses the second ring so you have to buy their accessories.
This means that iphone cables and headsets won't work, but headsets that don't work with the iphone probably will.
Does this make sense? Search for TRRS plug for more info.

Since there's no Q&A forum for this phone (yet), I'll try in here.
I've noticed this morning, when listening to my music through my earphones, that the volume tends to subtly fluctuate - perhaps slightly reducing the volume on the louder parts of songs.
I don't like this (it's not even at max volume either) - is there a way to stop it? I've looked in the music player's settings and also the sound settings for the phone itself, but no luck.
This is my first Samsung Andrdoid so if I'm missing something common to these, feel free to hit me with the noob stick
You've got the SGS II already?
You are probably in the wrong forum, mate.
Nope, he is not.
Some lucky dawgs got it through P4U.
I got it yesterday afternoon from Phones4U, although I think I've sorted this problem out now. I think it was related to the bass enhancement setting, because I disabled that and it's not doing it anymore (or it's no longer noticeable).

Big question how do you find the sound quality what headphones are you using? Thanks
Swyped from my Desire HD using XDA App
I'm using Soundmagic PL30's and the sound is great, although I did notice a bit of crappines when I had the bass enhancement on and turned it right up. Now I have it on Auto/Rock EQ with no effects - perfect for my needs.
I've yet to test the phone's speaker.
I don't have the phone and only played with android briefly before, but in theory, what you are describing is known as "normalizing", where the device tries to make the songs sound as even as possible. This results in capped louder parts and sometimes increased quieter parts. Is there any option like this in the equalizer?
May I say... Congratulation and I HATE YOU... J.K...
Post up some more details of what you DISLIKE of it so far

Actually PL30 are slightly bass heavy themselves and at best average if sgs2 sound is even somewhat like sgs. If u really want something better without breaking bank get brainwavz M1 or nuforce ne6 if you prefer boomier bass. This phone does deserve more than PL30.
PL30 respond very badly to presets on SGS1 as well.
Magically posted from thin air!
Aw, I only bought these a couple of weeks ago!
I'll bear your recommendations in mind though, thanks.
Actually, the earphones that came with it look better (not the awful standard things you usually get). I probably won't open them though.
Edit: no normalization option, Deathangel. It sounds ok now anyway

Really? The Yamaha DAC that was included can actually best the Wolfson 8994? I've been torn between the SGSII and the Sensation for quite a while now. This tips the scales in the GSII's favor.
P.S.- How does it compare to an SGS with the Supercurio Voodoo mod?
It's very close mate. I haven't done a proper comparison between them but I get a full range from Bass, mid and treble using PowerAMP to listen to music with the SGS II. I'd say it maybe slightly better than the SGS with Voodoo if I had to chose.

I'm looking for the best earbuds I can get for £30 or less (preferably less of course) for the highest quality listening. I'm hoping to use the SGSII in place of my iTouch since it can play FLAC natively!
Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated!
I recently lost my Klipsch S4, I was thinking about getting the S4a, but the review said that it would only work with certain music app.
I there a high quality earphone on that market that has handsfree function with good compatibility with the android system?
Looking for one too. I have to give my girlfriend's earphone back.
Best function you'll get from s4a. A-Jays 4 work with their android app installed, and sure have a separately sold adapter if you must pick calls.

I bought THESE for my wife as an Xmass gift. They're called Woodees . Had to borrow them cause I lost mine. Now I want a set, the sound is outstanding. Price is resonable considering the sound quality. Only downside is, I've heard they're not compatable with all devices.
Woodees are great, but yeah they're picky on android, and abit wide so not for small ears

No problem
To be honest, i am finding the speaker perfectly capable. Not as good as the HTC One obviously but it is better than the normal Xperia Z.
However, i often use headphones so i do not disturb others around me when i am watching video or listening to music etc. The speaker does sound good though and i have not had any issues with it. It sounds quite smooth, also rather full and not tinny. The sound it produces feels like it has some body to it at least.

I was the same as you but to be honest 2 things made up my mind.
1: the note 3 will have worse design and look uglier than the Z Ultra. Not as premium.
2: it won't be as big either. I want the biggest phone I can carry so yeah

It cost me £775 including customs vat. Expensive I know but yeah. Being a tech geek isn't cheap haha. Plus I really did not want to wait 2 months for the European release.
Honestly though, I paid about £500 for the HTC one on release and I felt disappointed and had buyers remorse fairly fast.
However, having spent almost £800 on the Z Ultra, I feel nothing but happiness because the device really is that good. I can't emphasise enough just how blazing quick the phone feels and how beautiful the screen is.

I was tempted to do it myself but for the sake of just over a month I think I'll wait. The UK retail is £612 at clove, and that is with a few accessories. I might be able to pick it up cheeper elsewhere.
Im on 3 and due for an upgrade. They have already said they will carry it, but unfortunately I think its going to be bootlocker unlockable version. I will just shop around and pick one up then go on a sim only contract.
Im also waiting to see if someone will bring out a powerjacket device like they did for the Xperia Z.
Looks like it will me my next device though. I like big phones, I have a note 2 and I just bought the mrs the 6.3" mega (she has basic needs). All in all really looking forward to it.

Ah OK, thanks. I think i'll just wait for it to hit the stores here One other thing, how are third party apps? Are they running in phone mode? Tablet mode? I'm going to kick it into tablet mode when the ZU gets rooted (if all apps are running in phone mode), since i personally think it's a waste of space to use phone mode on a screen this size.
First of all thanks for the vids. A bit worried on the battery front so waiting to see what note 3 has to say for itself. You did say battery is as good as note 2 which works well for me st the moment. What a beauty! Home run for Sony at long last.

Nice videos.
I have few questions.
1. Are you facing overheating issues, have you tried playing heavy HD games for long hours. If it does overheat how bearable is it??
2. Few Xperia Z users who have faced with overheating issue have found out that the glass panel has raised near the camera, which is the place of overheating. were you able to see any such issue if it's overheating??
3. Does the screen work if we put the device to a sweaty face ?? our sweat contains a little amount of salt, so if i put the device near to my sweaty ear, will it affect the device and make it unusable ??
Thanks

they are amazing, i though they were nonesense but the noisecanceling actualy does something, its kind of anoying that within the phone you have to select the different modes for it to fully work but they do a good job
>aeorplane>office>bus/train any of these modes in the right environment you can actualy hear a huge difference when you turn noise canceling from off to on or even turn it on and put one earphone in
so yes they are realy good and fully worth their $80 they are priced for (free with some some countries)
