SII won't start - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I wanted to flash a new ROM on my SII. So i started Recovery and wanted to mount usb storage to copy the rom to sd.
I noticed that usb storage doesn't work, so i removed the battery and the sdcard and plugged in the card to my PC.
After copying the ROM on my sd card, i reinserted the sd card and wanted to start the SII, but nothing happens.
Download Mode, Recovery Mode, normal boot - nothing works. There is absolutely no reaction. The displays stays black.
Interesting: If i charge the SII, the SOC gets warmer.
Can somebody help me?

[Q] Moon Rom 4.2 USB SD Card mounting problem

I have a strange Problem:
I flashed my Samsung Galaxy Plus with Moon Rom 4.2
But after rebooting there is no USB-Storage and no SD-Card mounted. I find a way to connect both but it should be better.
To mount the USB-Storage I use the GO Switch Widget and select “SD Unmount” (it is activated after reboot). After that the Mediascanning starts and finds the USB-Storage.
After that, I have to remove the SD-Card from the storage slot, wait a few seconds an put it back in. The Mediascaning starts again and finds the SD Card. Now I have full access to both.
I have to do the procedure every time, I reboot. In CWM I can´t also mount the SD Card and the USB-Storage.
Where is my fault?
Doesn´t anybody else has that Problem?
Since 2 weeks, the Samsung does not automaticly switch to 3G. I have to force it (Only WDCMA)

[Q] Boot from external SD Card

OK, I made a stupid mistake and before I throw my phone away, I thought I would at least check to see if someone has a recommendation first.
In CWM, I chose to format system, data, and all the other format options. It essentially wiped my device, and then when I chose to reboot recovery, it hangs at the Vibrant screen. I am now not able to boot into recovery. I assume that my choice in formatting everything removed recovery? Not a problem in and of itself because I can get my phone into download mode and use Odin to put my recovery and desired ROM except that my micro USB port is damaged to the point that my phone will not charge or connect to a PC.
In short, is there a way to install a version of recovery onto my external sd card and then have my phone boot from external SD card? Since I cannot physically plug my phone into a computer, the only way I can think of getting files onto the device is via the external SD card.
Any other suggestions are appreciated, including what to do with my new brick
You can always fix the USB port on your phone so don't toss it, unless you want to toss it my way!
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

[Q] My Alcatel OT-4030 not booting, Its Dead, how to fix?

Hey Guys, I just made the mistake that I shouldn't have. I put my phone in mass storage mode and connected it to my pc. Option appeared to Format Disk. I Clicked Format and then transferred some files to the device. But After that the phone didn't boot at all. Its total black screen scenario. I remember the disk capacity was 3.55gb or something when I formatted it. I had 8gb SD card in the device but before connecting to my pc, the phone showed the internal memory names as SD card, as this phone has a rare bug of displaying wrong storage. The internal memory is formatted I fear, and I have no stock firmware at the moment. I have the nandroid backup of my device which was created after rooting my phone. Help Please, Please give me a link to a stock firmware or tell me how to use that nandroid back up on my device, which is totally dead
i had this prob a while back...
i went here and downloaded the support tool...
connected my phone and reflashed the software....hope this helps!

[Q] CM10 Galaxy S3 won't mount external SD

Phone: Unlocked (AT&T) rooted Galaxy S3 running Cyanogenmod 10
My phone will not recognize my 64gb external SD card. If I take it out and put it back in, it'll say "preparing SD" for about 5 seconds and then do nothing. If I try and mount it through the settings the mount sd option is greyed out. I've tried every combination of restarting and putting it back in possible.
I'm scared I might have fried it for good while messing around trying to get it to mount as a USB. Through some miraculous kludgy combination of apps and scripts, I managed to do it, but after I disconnected it from my computer the phone would not recognize it, and now my computer (a mac if that matters) won't either. The phone recognized it fine before all this.
Again, not sure exactly how I got it to mount as USB but it was some combination of these:

At this point I don't even care if it'll mount as USB, I just want my SD card back. Total noob here, please have mercy.

Can't Mount SD & Can't Download with Odin... STUCK

I have a Samsung GT-i9100 and all I wanted to do was install CyanogenMod 12.1 custom ROM and partition the internal SD to something like 4 GB rather than 2 GB. WELL... this has been a complete nightmare.
I already had Slimsaber's custom ROM (Kitkat 4.4.4) with TWRP. I decided to wipe everything to start fresh. Then I went to mount the microsd card to install the new ROM... and... nothing happens. It won't mount. No error, no nothing. Just highlights blue as if it's about to mount, but it never gets the X in the box beside it and mounts. Just continues to be a blank box. I can't access the microSD card at all. The card I have is FAT32 and it works in other Android systems just fine.
Then I try mounting the USB to my computer. Nothing. No sounds like Windows is detecting it. Nothing. I make sure I have all the appropriate drivers installed. Nothing.
So off I go to try Odin. Still no detection on my computer. So I can't use Odin either.
What do I do?!?!
Stupid cord. It was the stupid cord. I switched it and now ADB sideloader, and USB Storage and everything works fine. Ugh. Transferring ROM file to flash right now!!!
Although if someone could shed some light as to why I can't mount the microSD card... that would be great.

It could be many factors. Sometimes changing the recovery will make it work, it could be the sd card has shat itself. Try flashing the latest philz recovery from sdcard0 then reboot into recovery. This has worked for me in the past
