ASUS=Big Company, once they have your money they could care less about you, and their garbage device. Besides from their standpoint its to expensive to recall such an old device, especially since they are ignoring its problems.

+1 on the prime recall. It should have been done. It's not that fair that people that purchased them from best buy or amazon got to take them back while the rest of us are stuck. It should have been recalled as soon as the all metal back became a problem. It is a crappy design.

I just went through my fourth RMA and still have issues. I called Amazon to do the refund/exchange thing and was told they would do it if Asus issued a recall without question.

But I would reserve the jackass button for you Joe since you have your companies stuff linked on your profile. Just look at clickonpc.com, its social media presence, its... everything.

As much as we would all like the Prime to be recalled... It would also be logical to think that as much Asus would like to solve all of our problems, what's in for them to do that when you've got your money already in their hands ( At least in a direct monetary aspect)
But one would also consider that building a good reputation would carry sales up from consumer trust
Oh well..
I sent in my prime a month ago for issues and got offered a full refund or extended wait times anyway sitting on $541 for Asus 3rd gen tablets or an actually 10" from Google

There are not hundreds of Campus Reps. Maybe 30 or so and maybe some others don't post here on XDA. I thought it would be a good way to get some more followers and give everyone eligible to enter to win a few prizes.

Trust me, if it was up to me I would have made it on Google+. Thing is, ASUS made our Facebook pages and made the contest online via Facebook.

From slash gear, it appears that the only changes are
-1080p
-2mp camera instead of 1.3
-changed back plate
I already got really good, constant wifi connection
My BT works fine with my Game pad and my Galaxy Note
I'm own phone, there's no need for a GPS
1080p = More battery drain for something that only Prime users will notice the diff.

This is not a 7 inch version this is a 10.1. If you look at the back it is the exact one we need to make the prime work. So my opinion is they knew that aluminum was flawed but decided to leave it on. Then release this to fix it. While everyone wasted their hard earned money so they could be the first tegra 3 on the market.
They should upgrade us for free to the new one. Also it is still puzzling why the tf101 is going for the same price as before the prime came out.

No i mean new 10 incher shown at CES, beta tested by us using TF201. That's not the way they should do their business. I love my TF201 and I'm not going to sell it. But I do not like to be treated like a retard.

It wont be out unit Q2 (may/June), so save your money now, continue to use the prime and sell it in June and buy the new one.
I'll miss you and hope that the person I sold it to has a great experience with you. For now it is back to my Xoom until something else magical comes out.
I want to say thank you to the devs on this device and the Transformer Prime as it made me learn much more about tweaking than ever before.

Think I'm gonna try to convince my retailer to trade it in for me, though I doubt I will be successful... I don't have the heart to sell this thing to anyone. I don't like selling broken crap.

Not bitter at all. Sorry your experience with the Prime was good/bad. Personally it's the best Android device I've owned so far. I've not had any of the problems (except GPS) that others have had. I'm just tired of all the negative threads. Prime this, POS that.
After running JB hard the past 24 hours my Prime is working buttery smooth and it's gotten better and better since I bought it Dec. 27th, 2011.
I guess I should just stop clicking on them.

No disrespect intended, and I'm not getting on your case, but maybe you get negative comments because of what could be the real purpose of the post? Unless you're just angry about the Prime and wanting to blow off steam, but then there are multiple threads all over the net for that, why post that you're getting rid of it? I'm a phone junkie, and figure a way to upgrade every year, even by buying outright off of Craigslist or eBay, but I don't post every time I move from one device to another. Why would I? I'm just curious why the Prime seems to get so many posts like this.

I normally see goodbye/thank you dev posts and thought it would add closure to the sale of it. It honestly just didn't meet my needs. Yes it had issues but depending on your use case you may or may not have ever noticed/cared. I'm a phone/tablet/PC/any gadget junkie myself as well and don't normally ever part with my devices (I have a very nice collection going). This one was an exception as I'm just not going to have any uses for it and never was attached to it like most others I have owned. I didn't mean to make a stir honestly and maybe my original post was negative. I didn't mean it to be that way but perception is everything so I changed it.

Ok, I can understand a bit more then. You don't normally get rid of your devices and since this is an abnormal experience for you, sort of a closure then. I get it. Thanks for sharing.

After running JB hard the past 24 hours my Prime is working buttery smooth and it's gotten better and better since I bought it Dec. 27th, 2011.

I feel bad for you if this POS is the best Android device you've ever owned. What others have you owned? I'm guessing it was the Samsung Continuum and nothing else. Maybe I'm spoiled because all of my other Android devices are Nexus devices, but the TF201 is an embarrassment to android.
After arguing with the rma robots at asus several times they told me that there is nothing wrong with my prime if the wifi and the bluetooth dont work together. WHAT ???????????? How can they get away with this ?

i got to the point where the guys at RMA isn't responding to my email, posted on their FB and they don't reply to it either
so effin unreliable
several times they promised to get back to me the same day------------------------------never happened
They should be driven out of the US
Just talked to a lawyer,he gave me good info on Federal Trade Commission that may help get my tablet fixed.
Look for a refund and not a fix in all honesty.

Even though all those customers at amazon ,bestbuy and others got refunds they WILL NOT give me a refund or fix it.This is one cruel nasty company.

This sounds like standard operating procedure over at good old Asus. They are very close to having the worst customer service ever.

As a lawyer, the price one paid for a TF Prime would barely cover one hour of my time. ...sometimes it's worth letting **** go.
