[KERNEL][18.SEPT.12]AOSP Kernel [4 Kernels] | NIGHTMARE | [v1] - HTC Amaze 4G

#1 Compatibility=[JB/ICS]
Hi guys this is an AOSP kernel by me (Sprortsstar89).This is the one based on faux (Not included in my cm builds) so it has all the features of faux's and i AOSPfied it while adding my own features and tweaks. (Thanks Faux123 for base)

#2 Compatibility=[JB/ICS]
Ok this is the second kernel that is included with cm builds it is the most stable (Heavily AOSPifed by me and cretin based mostly on caf) and is only included in cm builds there is no dl's for this just a link to the source.

#3 Compatibility=[JB]
This is a kernel that is for the most part entirely based on caf the only problem is display is broken. I need to merge the appropriate code in to the display driver but the display driver is heavily intergrated with vsync stuff and other cm10 specific stuff.

This is a project that i started to port the msm-3.4 kernel from caf to the amaze it does not yet compile but i started merging the ruby necessary files. Please contribute to this.

I'm on the 09/20 build of CM10. Is it okay to flash the first one? And is it better than the one included in the CM build?

I'm amazed with how quiet this thread is given what hype there was for a modified amaze kernel.
Anyways, i attempted to load this with the 7.18.13 build of cm 10.1 (modified for navbar use) and found that it couldn't progress past the white HTC splash screen, is anyone else finding the same?

This thread and kernel are OLD. Read the date before you guys resurrect a long dead thread!
And because it's old, it's most likely incompatible with CM10.1. That's why you're stuck on the splash screen.
There is no need to flash this on CM10.1, it has a custom AOSP kernel on it anyway.

[KERNEL] International FROST Kernel
NOTICE: This is COMPATIBLE with AOSP+ AND PureAosp JellyBean 4.3!
Just a statement regarding kernel source: The Kernel Source is of course covered under GPL version 2. Free software does NOT mean no work or time was spent working on it. I have donated a large sum of my free time to hack this kernel. If you use my modified kernel source in parts or in its entirety, I kindly ask you mention its origins and to send me a github pull request or PM whenever you find bugs or think you can help improve my kernel hack further. This way the entire community will truly benefit from the spirit of open source. Thank you !
THIS KERNEL IS CURRENTLY IN TESTING STATUS AND NOT BETA OR STABLE
*Features*
Quad Core is disabled by default, the X+ will now turn into a Dual core device (this can be changed with the performance governor)
Memory features are = to that of a 3.4 android kernel

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Linaro optimizations consist of both changes made to the Android Open Source Project (and CM) as well as a special toolchain that uses GCC 4.7. Because this is a kernel that is only offered in its source form, it is up to you to build it with the Linaro toolchain if you want to see the performance benefits that can arise from the Linaro optimizations. Also Lloir was somewhat specific in telling you not to make feature requests (I would consider Linaro such a request), so you might want to read his post a bit more closely next time.

This is a link to the kernel source. you would have to build the kernel yourself. if your looking for a CM kernel for ATT HOX+, then i would wait for a fully working CM rom first. There is still audio issues with CM, however devs are working on it. Be patient

Kernel Source

Hello all. I was wondering if now that we have the kernel source does that make cm10 not cm10.1 stable?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Cm 10 is 4.1.2
Cm 10.1 is 4.2.2
Just the simple fact of having kernel source doesn't automatically make it stable things need merged tested and published,
and it's not only the kernel the can cause instability, mods to the framework can cause issues as well.
It'll be a stable release when the devs feel it's worthy of that name.

I'm running last nights cm nightly. You're saying the kernel won't work with cm?
To be honest... All I really know is it works great with my rom... So I assume there was no reason it would not work with other roms. I apparently was wrong. Sorry guys... Unless I find a solution soon I will be removing this thread and if u want the sabermod kernel u will have to flash ose... Haha

Theme manager in this rom is too old. Can you update to new cm theme manager?
Your amazing Carbon project will be updated or not?

hi blueether, Is this the same dt2w kernel you posted in carbon thread? I wonder is it more responsive than earlier version?
Because initially everything is working perfectly until recently it always take 4 taps to wake the phone up
Edit: Just tried extracting boot.img flash it on top. Negative. so dont try : )

can someone provide a builded zip or a img file so noobs can test the kernel as well?

Progress so far
- unified 3.4 kernel is stable for daily use and community tweaking
As some of you have already seen we have started work on comunity 3.10 unified kernel
This kernel is not finished and not stable but is an invitation for developers to joyn, test and improve a kernel built "by community for community"
