Hi guys. Lets say I have a game or app and it lags cause of 1080p. (DO NOT answer like: This is not the resolution problem, because sometimes it is). Or just app is not supported by full HD. Anyway. Can I change the resolution for 1280x800 (Popular and from normal Transformer)? Does simply DPI change work? What to set? Please tell me. Just for the situation with 1280x800, I want ALL apps etc to run in this resolution. Will it lag anyway?
Sorry for my English.

Hi, I just got a samsung smart tv and after the salesman told me i could control it with 'any' smartphone i was disappointed to find the samsung remote app is incompatible with my XS on google play however after a bit of googling i found an apk and installed it but it dosent run fullscreen.
Is there a modded version of this app that is fullscreen? or is there some way to force a resolution so it will be fullscreen?
If not could someone point me in the right direction to modding this app into fullscreen?
Thanks for any help :fingers-crossed:
Finally found a version that is fullscreen, its called samsung smartview instead of remote (hence why it eluded my searches) :victory:
Its 40mb so i cant upload it to xda but this is where i found it

Hope this helps anyone else suffering the same issue (works like a dream on S3 too)
Try an XDA wide search. There should be some other phones with the app that have tried to get it working. I wish my Sony TV had wifi so that I could use the remote app to control it, but I didnt wanna pay 700 dollars for the version with wifi.
I have done that and I only found either versions that don't work or that still pose the same problem.
Thanks anyway
No Solution?
I presume from the lack of replies that this obviously cant be done. Shame.
hmm it's compatible from play on my U thats weird =\
or is this not it?

Sorry I don't follow..
If your TV sonehow can connect to Ibternet WiFi/Cable (LAN) than you just connect your phone to the WiFi (Same network of course) and voila!Tried it,worked fine on mine and I also have the Samsung TV.

The S3 has the same issue, due to the resolution of the screen.
on play it says this: 'This app is optimized for WVGA(800*480) resolution screen.
The app may not display properly in HVGA(320*480) or QVGA(240*320) resolution.'
What i want to know is there some way that this can be worked around or will i just have to put up with the screen not being filled. check the screens' to see what i mean.
Its compatable with the U as its resolution is 854x480 so it'll work wheras the S is 1280x720

Use this one for Galaxy S3

Im using Multimedia HD Dock and the most important resolution for me is 1080p but in Webtop its scaled to 720p. TV (tested on several TVs new high-end) sees this as an actual native resolution FullHD while it's still HD. In the previous version was the ability to set Webtop true 1080p and there by an official source is off (https://motorola-global-portal.cust...etail/a_id/63272/~/webtop—display-resolutions).
So the question and ask the experts - is it possible and if so, how to modify the system to achieve this true 1080p Full HD resolution? Certainly layout and the processor has the ability.
I'm also interested if there is a solution?
sent from my RAZR MAXX
This question has been answered to death within this forum and the answer is no. No one can get the 1080p natively working using the Razr.
I would also speculate that the CPU is probably not sufficient to run this resolution given the slow-down of apps and games even at 720p.
In previous version of webtop it was possible by editing file: edit xorg.conf file (/osh/etc/X11/xorg.conf):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198230
With pleasure I would like to see if it will work smoothly in 1080p.
Hi, I'm trying to find a way to make apps run in different resolution. Like some games are laggy on 1080p so I want to run them on 720p or lower Resolution
Thanks!
help plz

Hi there, i'm using lenovo A536 and flash it with LineageOS 6.0.1. Just now i realize that youtube doesn't have the 720p or over resolution option, and youtube limit the resolution only up to 480p. Does anyone know how to unlock 720p res for my phone? i know i can overcome this by editing the build.prop, but i dont know which phone model and which line to edit in it.
Thanks in advance.

it's a hardware limitation bruh, its not software problem and you can't do anything about it.
minimum display resolution required to play 720p video are 1280 by 720 pixels, or 921,600,
and yours is 854x480 display resolution which is required exactly to play 480p videos, and can't go
beyond that. and it's not a youtube problem cause youtube will detect what's your display resolution are
and show the resolution capable for your display to show. Even thought you change or tinkered your phone and suddenly you got the 720p or whatever resolution you want, I don't think it's worth it. it's basically a hardware limitation.
