Damaged Internal Storage - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

When I turn on my Xperia S aparace in the notification bar "Damaged Internal Storage - SD Card was extracted unexpectedly". However I can copy files without problem and my windows explorer reads it well, I have ICS .45 rooted. The questions are, I have to give importance and worry? or how I can fix it?.
Thanks in advance to all

Did you override the SystemUI from the xps with the one from the T? If yes, thats a typo.

No its not a "Life or Death" error, one can live with it but it will just get bigger and corrupt more files.
You should fix it while the error is there, fixing is easy :
Connect the phone to the PC with the USB cable
Go to My Pc -> Mobile Devices -> Xperia S
Right click on "Internal Storage" and then click on properties.
Click on "Tools" Tab
"Check disk" and tick on the "Automatically fix errors" (Windows7)
Wait for it,and when its done, reboot your phone.
These errors usually happen when a file became corrupted cause of a unexpected reboot or things like that.
Goodluck.

I tried to do that, but when I click on "Internal Storage" and then I click on properties, never get the "Tools Tab", I only see the "General Tab", anyway I´ll keep trying. Thanks a lot.

Yeah. It's a bug with it. Simply ignore. The message was meant to be that the SD card is being mounted.

DeviceInstance ID --- Easy Way

Try this, the easy way of finding it....
Connect your x10i to the computer and mount the SD card. Now go tot Device manager, Right Click on USB Mass Storage Device, Properties. Under General Tab, confirm under Location it is for x10. Then go to Details Tab. There will be a drop down, Select Device Instance ID from there, it will list the information. Click on that. Select copy by ctrl+c and then paste it to Notepad.
Note: Always check the location as sometimes, there might be more than 1 USB Mass Storage Device, depending upon the computer which you have. It can be for Memory Card slots as well.
Updated:::: Looks like it is not correct, try this in Registry....
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\USB\Vid_0fce&Pid_adde\5&xxxxcxx&X&2
5&xxxxcxx&X&2 is my Device Instance ID......
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=712002
its not the same?
It works. Its better if you do it after connecting to SEUS and look for the SEMC flash device in device manager.

[Q] After flash to TNTlite 4.4, no longer can connect PC to gTab

With apologies to Roebeet, who provided a response to an earlier inquiry about this - - but I couldn't interpret what to do - I am posting here to see if anyone who has flashed to TNTlite 4.4 has had a problem with connecting their PC to the gTab and being able to then see the sdcard drive and contents. When I connect now, the tab shows a "USB Connected" and then a USB Debugging Connected" message, but nothing can be seen on the PC, except, a removable disk (F and when that is hilighted the message "please insert a disk into drive F" shows up.
Any advice, reference to a thread that addresses this, or other guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Pinckneyite,
This is a new one to me and I read the forums pretty thoroughly.
Since the drivers that communicate to the PC are built in, the only
suggestion I can think of is to re-flash the ROM and see if it comes
up.
If not, then I would re-flash back to stock
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861950
and see if it works there. Along the way, you may need
to load CWM (ClockWorkMod) in case you need to clear/wipe, etc.
Do some loading and testing the let us know what you find out.

It doesn't automatically mount on your PC. You have to pull down the notifications menu and select "USB Connected." That will give you a dialog that will allow you to "Activate" USB file transfer.

Well maybe, then, you know what the "USB debugging" option on that notifications menu means? I see it there as an option to turn it off or on. Leaving it on seems to do nothing to handling file transfers, etc. What is it for? Thanks.
USB Debugging is a development tool. It's not necessary for average daily functions but a few apps out there require it. It won't hurt to just leave it on.
TNT (Lite) is different thatn AOSP based mods, that's correct - you just have to click on the "!" icon.

Even I have a folder named MTKLOG. It is related to some mobile logging utility. I do not remember how I activated the mobile logs. The device storage got full within two days of activating the logs. Have you deleted the folder?

Thanks. I deleted the logs. It was the "system logger" that created the logs. It started again after deleting the logs as it found space for logging. I stopped all logs and also cleared all old logs from the options in "system logger". I even reduced the space required for each type of logs to 5mb each just to be safe, which were 300mb each initially.
I still do not know how to start/stop the "system logger" or its exact location, but my purpose have been served. I will post it if I find it again.

You have a very good Android Jelly Bean OS system, but I get the feeling every Manufacturer does their own subtle unique OS because I can't find that.
I have a tablet that is similar to the JXD p1000 tablet, but it's generic, no branding. Definitely has the same specs.
But I have the same MTKLOG problem. How do you turn it off?

I do that but folder mtklog still any in sdcard ?
Yes, its perfectly safe to remove the files, but you have to also turn it OFF.
You do not want top have any logs running on your device!
They will quickly fill up your SD/eMMC card with junk, and if not fill it up, it will wear it out, in case the logfiles are recycled.
PS. If anyone has any info on how to read these log files let me know.
Just open them in notepad
Copy the .log files in your computer and open them using the notepad

hey-ya!!! I like to ask about my Celkon A62 regarding with memory. Hello,
I was able to deactivate the MTK logs using "Mobile Uncle".
-> Menu item "Engineer Mode"
-> Menu item "Engineer Mode (MTK)"
-> Scroll to the right to the tab "Log and Debugging"
-> Menu item "MTKLogger"
In the setting of MTKLogger, I did the following:
- Disable all the logs
- Change the "Log storage location" to "SD Card"
Then, I moved the existing log files from the internal memory to my SD Card. You could delete them instead. The files are here by default:
/sdcard/mtklog
Hope that helps.
Great tip Robbo1.
"Mobile Uncle" was not compatible with my device (a Huawei phone), but this alternative from the Play store did the job too : "Engineer Mode MTK Shortcut"
From the main screen opened by this app, scroll across until you reach the "Log and Debugging" page. Click on "MTKLogger", then click on the 'STOP' icon (small square) at the bottom of the screen - that will stop all the logging.
THEN, click on the SETTINGS icon at top right (faders icon) and then on the "log storage location" and change to SD card if that's what you want.
I then, using the phones inbuilt file explorer deleted all the folders and files under the original MTLOG directory releasing several gigs of internal phone memory.
I think Mobileuncle MTK Tools might be the culprit
PS.
Only now I can read tip #14 referring to Mobileuncle. Oh well ....
Hi Everyone,
I recently got Asus ZenPad 10 and was having space exhaustion issues due to mtklogs.
This is how I fixed it:
Click 7 times on build number found in software update option in settings to enable developer options.
Go to Developers options under settings menu and change 'Logger Buffer sizes' to off.
Voila! The issue is fixed. Hope it helps!

This didn't fix it on my Z300M. Are you sure buffer size OFF doesn't mean "unlimited"?

I wonder why, is it because he is accused of taking element from other roms again? I say who cares, his latest release is so perfect on S2, the roms that may accuse him have issues with their roms, his rom has no issue, therefore that is different enough for me!
He has his own website anyway: http://www.modmydroid.net/jellybam/

Taking element from other roms is not bad if you First ASK DEV permission and mention his name on your Change Log.

What a pity then, because either way, his 6.4 rom is more stable than those roms that he has incorporated features from.
There are certainly some elements of this "open" development community I do not comprehend that's for sure! Glad I'm a user and not a rom compiler!

SD Data Lost

I've somehow lost all the data on my sdcard.
Device is an LG G2 D802, running stock lollipop 5.0.2
I had my phone hooked to pc and all was OK.
Then I tried accessing a folder (after being ble to) and an error popped up on windows, I can't remember what, something along the lines of "the device cannot be accesses".
I then disconnected the USB...without first clicking safely remove...so, yes, it probably is my own fault.
Please don't point this out!
How can I retreive my data. I'm more concerned about pictures and videos.
I've tried a few apps, but aren't having much success.
A lot of files don't display correctly
Any help is appreciated
Anyone got any advice?

I have a great working solution for you.
I know a computer software that can extract your images, videos and everything in its original form.
It works on windows.
You have to connect your SD card with the help of card reader.
(Scan and recover)
Below is the direct download link for the software.
fs37.filehippo.com/5406/cb2c01f67d5b4f9096af0dfd91d5e4cb/pci_filerecovery.exe
(Just copy above and paste it in your browser)

But as my device doesn't physically have an sdcard, its a virtual card as far as in aware.
And the back of the phone doesn't come off.
