Hi guys...
I just flashed my X10 Mini Pro but it is still having the same problem...restart by itself even i didn't do anything to that phone...( i already used this phone from january 2011 till now..) android version 2.1...
please...what should i do?
i don't know how to solve this....
=(
What ROM are you using... give people a little more information before asking.
My mini pro have been restarting too until I turned off JIT. Go to Settings→CM Settings→Performance→Ok, uncheck Use JIT and reboot. It should improve stability at cost of performance.
I think I just post here...
My x10 mini pro started to behave strange (firstly lags, freezes, reboots, later just constant reboots) about 2-3 weeks ago. I thought ok, I probably screwed something. Later not only while heavy use, but even after entering pin it rebooted, the pin->reboot->pin->reboot cycle went for some time (2-5 times mostly), usually waiting few minutes before entering pin or airplane mode helped (but after turning it off phone rebooted).
So 3 days ago I had enough, I used SEUS. But it's happening again! I reflashed again, restored only texts, synced with google account, nothing more, but phone rebooted few times.
So I'm wondering, does the phone have hardware issues or did SEUS leave some earlier stuff on phone memory?
(ROM 2.1.1.A.0.6)
Sorry for my bad english. Nov to the theme im having the same problem. onley thing that helped was to turn off all data conectionf via 2G/3G mobile network. So i can use just Wi-Fi when ever i connect to the internet whit mobile 2G/3G the phone restarts just like you discribed...
@j000
I think there is something wrong with hardware and I suggest you to give your phone to service. You can also check if turning off mobile data will fix it.
@Jurasek88
Trying to fix it isn't worth of effort so the best way is to do full backup of user data with Titanium, reinstall ROM you are using and restore data. If it doesn't help, you should give it to service or live without mobile data.
Tried various ROMs. Tried turning off JIT.
At the beginning everything works fine, then after a few days it's restart a day, the a couple restarts a day. 2 weeks later it restarts almost every hour.
It's so frustrating i feel like smashing the damn phone on the wall. I could install the original old SW, but it's a joke. What a piece of crap this SE.
Am I alone in this?
Why dont u guys install a CUSTOM ROM instead of using the Stock 2.1.. you'l get better performance n wont fell like throwin ur mini pro.. !!

That's exactly what I'm doing. I installed 2 different 2.2. Worked wonderful the first week and then restarts... Installed another one. Same ****.
Now using GingerDx but it eats battery like crazy.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I am usin GinTonic.SE by slade.. No random reboots no battery drain, damn stable n fast.. So make a try fo this.. N dont foget to make a complete wipe after flashin the ROM.. I hope it helps..
Gintonic.SE by slade..
OmegaRED: With 2G I get EXCELLENT battery life. The longest I ever had. DX appears to be stable... No reboots at all. Nice.
I wonder what makes it suck battery like crazy in 3G....
faiyyaz: Thanks for the reccomendation. As long as DX is stable I think I'll stick to it... Is Gin Tonic better than DX in your opinion?

I recommend CyanoComb 1.4 and GingerDX v12 , stable and long last battery life (>> 2 days for me )
but I got problem when touching in 2.3.5 (always miss in typing letters in the corners ==!) so I chose CyanoComb 1.4

both are great roms for battery life but my vote goes to gdx. aside from it being a gb rom, it's constantly being updated. it's only gonna get better.

In fact, not better, but more beautiful... Maybe. Better for updated programs and libs. Check the changelog in X8 original post about GingerDX. ;-)

Most GingerBread ROMs are basically the same. What's differ is framework, theme and apps-pack.
Theme should not make any difference in stability or battery-drain.
Framework and apps-pack will.
Try to remove som preinstalled apps like DSP manager (removing this will increase performance and battery life).
paul-xxx made 2 ROMs that are the same framework, but diff theme and apps-pack. I find SonyBread insanely stabel (manually removed DSP manager). Not a single reboot since i startet using this (2 weeks now).
achyut made a list of apps he removed. get inspiration from this
yes most of the 2.3.5 roms drain battery, i installed advanced task manager so u can check which apps are always starting up in the background and try freezing with titanium backup to make sure they dont effect the running of device...make sure your not signed into latitude, disabe gprs and the'use my location ' for alot of useless things running, and a big 1 for me was the auto sync in settings-account n auto sync...all these help but no way as long as 2.1! iv just installed minicm7 pro 8, claim battery drain is fixed, by paulxxx BIG THANKS paul esp if battery consumptions improved
hii all,
so herez wat i did....i upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.5 (build GRJ90) by the two latest ROMS (GingerDX and MiniCM7. but the battery life was not as good as froyo...don't know if this is a specific problem only to me, the "Battery fix" of CyanogenMod, wiping battery status, Nothing helped
(don't get me wrong....both of the GB ROMs are awesome!!!)
so, i reverted back to FroyoBerad (latest version) with the hotfix again...the ROM is very stable.....has the two "MOST TALKED ABOUT" feature of Gingerbread - The keyboard(along with the word selector) and the "Theme chooser"....the battery life is again back to normal...i get 1 and a half day with "E-X-T-R-E-M-E" usage....
tweaked the Froyobread ROM to my hearts content before installing....
1. deleted MANY things. (Browser, Maps, CM wallpapers, Talk, FB, Twitter, gallery 3d, the 2 launchers, livewallpapers, music, radio, sound recorder, youtube, voice search, voice dialer, squash input method, street plugin, stk,Latin IME,etc)
2. installed Timescape. (was not possible in 2.3.5, at least by me)
3. installed stock SE camera(for pics) and LG cam Pro (for continuous auto-focus videos)
4. installed bout 9/10 awesome gingerbread "theme chooser" themes.
5. installed custom font (the "Sony Ericssion" font, looks pretty good).
6. installed Operamini and Uber Music(+Metro skin+clear widgets)
7. installed SE active launcher + SE Ambient time LWP (trust me, the combo looks AWESOME) + SE digital clock + SE recent calls widget
8. installed better keyboard 8 (gingerbread UI) + green glow skin
at last, i am pretty happy with the trade off......
what do you all feel, is the downgrading worth it???...gimme your precious views guys
Hi dude.. i am just going to drop my 2 cents here.
In due time well have a perfect 2.3 rom.
The developers need to keep playing around with idea's untill the winning combo comes up.
we also had issue's with earlier 2.3 roms till one clever member "god bless his soul" found the way.
The developers are working hard in due time well have a stable and worthy 2.3 rom.
The best we can do is test and submit our results to help them.
I tried GingerDx, MiniProCM7 and GinTonic.SE and I like most GingerDX but after installing some things stayed the mobile phone locked and went back to restore a backup of 2.1 with Jit. I'm waiting for the 007 version of GingerDX to see if I improve a few bugs I had.

hmm...i hope the best for our dear dear developers......THEY ARE AWESOME!!!! ...but i don't know if it is specifically me, i have had a horrendous battery issue with 2.3.5
i always felt that we should customize a ROM to suit our need before flashing it to our cell....m8 just be a personal opinion, but it actually gives me a much "lighter" and usable, stable ROM that suits MY needs.
like i removed and replaced several apk's as said...after browsing the markets we often come across better alternatives than the stock ones. removing and replacing them on a ROM b4 flashing saves us the pain of "root explorer" way
there is almost 90% identity of Froyobread with the gingerbread builds available...and with the few mentioned customizations, it PERFECTLY suits me
Works the samee for me, but better life i reckon.
Just make sure to always keep data traffic off, 2g, background data off, screen <50%, JIT on, undervolt, and install a task killer to kill everytime screen off

i concur. i've been using gingerdx (was using froyobread) and battery life has been similar to, if not better than, fb.
I've tried lotd of roms, almost of them based in froyo 2.2 so I came back to the Stock rom; well, now i've installed GingerDX and, in my opinion, it has much less bugs than Froyobread (al least in my cell), and even I have less reboots than with the Stock 2.1 one.
I think in 2 or 3 more releases, Gingerbread will be a perfect alternative stock rom for our little ones. If developers are right now working hard on these roms, something better than froyo they'll have.
At present, I have GingerDX_007 on. Previously i tried MiniCM7Pro-V6.
These roms are both fast and smooth but... battery life becomes an issue with them.
i don actually understand....wats in GingerDX dat FroyoBread lacks??? ....am using the latest FroyoBread 0.23e with the hotfix and the overclock tweak and i personally think it is as good a ROM as GingerDX if not better...everything works and am using it for a week and have got 0 reboots!!!
even the Timescape works in FroyoBread and not in the 2.3.5 builds....the Quadrant gives similar results....i got 1333 with Quadrant Advanced and for me, FroyoBread gives MUCH better battery life ....i dunno if the battery problem in GingerDX is specifically happening to me , but am totally happy with Froyobread
The same point of view like achyut. More than 2 days versus only 1 day average usage. Plus a little bit more random dialing like froyo, but that could be personal.
Just went back to Froyobread.. I guess i'll stay here for now.. Might as well use a rom that was actually made for my phone and not a rom that was edited into working on my phone, like gingerbread
Im not that desperate for new features anyway, im fine with something stable.
Well i'm not the only one
Went on the Gingerbread hype too after the cam-fix got out, but also went back to Froyo (FroyoBread v023f(remade)).
It's as stripped as you get them.. but I stripped some pre installed apps from it too.
EDIT: It's my phone... i need it to work (phone calls, mail, webbrowsing, wifi-tether, alarm clock, music, radio, Turn-by-turn navigation).
I tried a few of those roms.
I went back to cynocomb.
No offense to the developers but we need to make some serious headway in the GB section first.

yup, our developers give SO much of their time for providing us with a good ROM. they are great!!!!
btw, i tried the latest build of the GingerDX ROM (v009 r2) along with the "SE timescape" fix( "just" the Timescapefix of the total overhaul, deleted other modifications before flashing)...and am currently with it (well, for last 2 days ) and i gotta say it's pretty good, sleek and stable. the bootanimation, stability, sleekness, everything is pretty great...and so is the battery life (it's my primary point of concern)....as it is with the heavy customization that i cater before flashing the ROM, i hardly find notable differences between different ROMs
i tryed froyobread then minicm7 then gingerdx
from now only minicm7 xD
Hm, I have GingerDX.009 (smartass active) stripped as possible too, however battery is about more than a day only, not more than 2 days like cynocomb 1.4? Did you do something new for battery life?

give your battery stat a wipe through CWM/XRec, run at least 2 cycles, keep auto sync, background data unchecked and also keep "data enabled" unchecked untill u NEED to use it, undervolt the cpu (480/122 as max/min cpu freq). don't use GPS, Wifi, maps, etc untill you need them
i kno, sounds pretty dumb. but i actually DO this to get a good battery life.
All mentioned have been done except 480/122. I have 612/122 Mhz undervolted. How long is your battery life? But i have a car-charger and that is why i don't need more than a day
but that is OOT here
Hey guys i wanted to try out the latest official MIUI 1.22.2 on my SGS2 so just wanted to ask you that how is the battery life on that rom and of camera wifi and other things wrks cool on it ? In simple words can it be used for Daily usage ?
I´m using MIUI since I bought SGS2 (4 days now ) and I must say MIUI really made a big step forward. Battery life is great (24 hours - auto sync gmail, few calls, sms, wifi at home, an hour of gaming), camera is great, everything is fast and smooth. Definitely recommend it but don´t forget to flash Siyah kernel over. It´s the best combo so far.

Hi guys,
I just bought xperia mini, it has official firmware GB .62.
I want to stay at stock, so people with experience of stock GB and Stock ICS, kindly advice me if i should stay at GB or should i upgrade to ICS, as GB has most of the main features as well, like hotspot, apps2sd and others which are useful, as some of people expressed, ICS is not that fluent or lags etc.
Kindly spare a minute or two and advise me!
Thanks in advance.
Incredible, I just came here to post that exact same question I used to have a mini pro but I sold it before there was ICS update, now I got another one for my brother and wonder if he should upgrade to ICS... have they solved the bugs that came with the first ICS release or is it still pending?
If you want to be on Stock, then remain on GB. It´s best in every way. ICS need more resources, so battery will drain faster, and it will use more RAM.
Also, a lot of apps don´t work well on ICS.
I´ve flashed my mini pro a lot of times, with a lot of ICS ROMS, and always i got back to GB.
I hope it helps you, it´s only my opinion
Gb good for gaming

Stay on gingerbread, less bugs, better for gaming and on ics aren't so many better functions compared to .62. Only a few android bug fixes and security fixes, but better stay on gb
Follow up question... is there a way to prevent the upgrade notification which comes on again and again?

Eh ... the update notification isn't for the ics upgrade if it comes on the phone, because the ics update can only be done via your pc. What does the information tell you?
Well thanks guys, so i should remain on GB, i don't have mental problems of being on ICS, i just need working phone, special when ICS does not bring any substantial feature on Xperia Mini.
Kindly tell me, when i charge my Xperia Mini, LED light turns green when charging reaches about 90%, what i want to know shoudl i unplug the phone when LED turns green at about 90% or should i continue to charge it till 100%, what is better for battery health and battery life?

if you gamers the i think u should choose gb :good:

I Think you should try ICS, if you not suitable, you can back to GB
I tried ICS on nexus s, it was cool there, but there is not much difference in GB and ICS on mini, so its easy to stay on GB, as ICS is not a major step farward for Mini at least, those who are missing stock GB, i think it takes 3 minutes to come back to GB by flashing stock ftf GB Rom with flashtool, i use to do it with x10 mini.
Someone one said charging battery to 100% is not good for battery health.

Hey people.
Well i have a little problem, i went back to the stock eclair version but the battery is a little worse than GB.
Some say that is possible to make Eclair more battery life than GB with some steps.
I tried to do some steps that were shown to me in my other thread:
Jit-enabler
CWM-Installer
X10Mini Undervolt module
Root-Explorer
Remove Apps
I did this on 2.1.1.c.0.0, but the battery started to become Unstable and Hot, that's why i downgraded now to 2.1.1.a.0.6 and hoping that anyone knows how to help me in this one.
So question is: how to get the most battery out of my Eclair in XPeria Mini Pro x10?
Good answers will deserve a Thanks Press Button

u better try custom roms than original x10 mini pro..
why?
-undervolt is great but ur phone will be slower (dont u knw u20i is a low end devices?)
-remove systems apps could make another problem.. (fc there & here)
-using "link2sd" is great way to save phone memory problems.

I don't think there's difference at all, i've been testing today the stock 2.1.1.a.0.6 with many apps removed, rooted, with 480mhz/122mhz min with SetCpu.
In the results i've obtain today i notice 3 things:
1 - Undervolt isn't worth it, in GB i used only 3 days to test it and the battery life was the same as not having undervolt at all, besides it makes the phone worse. ( well i don't see this phone as a low end, i see this phone as an almost perfect one, it has a good camera/good sound/stable, so what more do i need? just because it doesn't have Original a 2.3 android with 1000mhz processor and stuff? What is the point of having a phone with such power if the sound/camera/stuff isn't good enough?. This is the only phone that never get me problems for going to repair, and the material that this phone is made is very good, the paint doesn't damage and in general nothing is damaged, it's always like it's brand new and that is amazing, this phone is no low end, it's an underrated device. I only use this phone for "calls, sms and listen music", battery lasts me 3 days using this )
2 - Removing apps is safe to do, as long as you know what you're doing, for me it went well because today i had no force closes or problems.
Just an add: don't need app2sd/link2sd and stuff like that, i only use the basics of the phone ( music, calls, sms ).
3 - And this one is the blockbuster: For everyone who thought that GB was better in battery life than the original Eclair, well think again...
This time i only made the steps: stock 2.1.1.a.0.6 with "many" apps removed, rooted, with 480mhz/122mhz min with SetCpu, without undervolts and stuffs like that.
And the results were: The very "same" battery life than GB roms. That's right mate 'and all people who is seeing this', Today i'm testing it and right now i'm still with 78% battery life ( phone is on for about 21 Hours now ), what is the very same amount of battery i used to have with GB roms about now.
So for everyone who is afraid of going back to Original Stock Eclair, don't be afraid, because it's the very same as GB roms in battery life but it's even more stable and secure. All you have to do is those steps i already mentioned above and you're good to go , but... if you want to use your phone with apps that only work on 2.3 Android or if you like to Customize your Rom then just Stick with Gb roms and you're good to go 2 , just make sure you're using Gingersony V06 ( with led fix ) because it's the most stable rom out there and you're good to go .
Well i think this subject is Closed now. Thanks
