Try out a couple roms yourself, damnit. We can't answer for what's best for you in terms of battery time.

Experience the rom yourself. Who knows, you may get 20 hours on screen time

This is a very subjective question. What's good for one person is all wrong for the next (I'm getting tired of saying this)

[Q] Please help me to choose between i9100 and i777

i had a thrill 4G(unlocked) and now I am going to buy a galaxy s2 from ebay. So few questions for you guys
this might be crazy though but i just want your help
unlocked I777 price is lower than i9100 on ebay --why is that?
According to gsmarena i777 got a talk time of 18hrs while i9100 has about 18hrs (at&t web site also says talk time in i777 is 8hrs) Any difference in battery department ???
Thanks guys

+1 it depends on your location. Don't think a new thread should have been created for this though. You could have easily gotten your answer through a simple search

The i777 and the i9100 are mostly the same.
Differrences:
I am not certain whether there is a radio chip on the i777 but the i9100 does have radio
It is locked on to the at&t network unless you buy the unlocked one
And specially in Sri Lanka the phone would be more exclusive because many owners have the i9100...
The i777 has the NFC chip built in to the battery and the i9100 does not
These are the basic differences. I have posted a link which explains many differences further....
Developer support for both these roms has been exceptional and are still continuing...

IMO Price reduction may be due to the carrier supplying these devices at a subsidized price. But I am not aware of the exact reason. Are you purchasing brand new or used?

In general I'd recommend an international over a carrier version.
Intl has better resale value and less bloated stock software.

I like the capacitive buttons myself as why I didn't go with the international version.

Oh, I know that, I was aiming my question at the mods. Slacking!
(I've run forums with approx 1300 users, so only a few less than xda... It's a difficult task. I applaud you guys for doing as well as you do!)

Guys im not new to google or xda .. I made lot of searches for my doubt and at the end i created this thread to get xperts idea !
There should be a delete button for the thread so that i could delete this. Because i know this is not that valuable for others. Dont you guys this so?
Not every thread is important for everyone. In my case i answer so called useless threads over there. Because they might not be important to me, but foe the creator.
definately the i777 following the reasons outlined before
777 vs 9100

Plus with the capacitive, there are four buttons - rather than only three... I always like it if mine goes one higher...

Just ordered my GN, what should I flash first?

Hey guys, I'm coming from an i777/iPhone 4S and I'm extremely excited for this device to come in. I'm going to keep it stock rooted for a few day I think, but after that, what do you guys think I should flash? Thanks ahead of time!

If GN means galaxy nexus I would suggest that forum but even then the best answer would be to look in the correct forum and then flash various Roms and pick the best one that suits u

Please search the forum. This question has been answered soo many times.
Yea, S2 development is still strong, but all you had to do is go to the forum and look yourself.
You can find all the answers yourself, you just need to put in some effort

I already did,but I was just taking daily users' opinions.
thanks
The s2 is still a solid device to have but most of the focus has shifted to the s3, i would suggest to just get a s3 as it's more future proof. Luv my s2 tho

It's fairly simple.
Have enough money - Galaxy S3
Don't have that much - Galaxy S2 is still pretty awesome, I bought it 3 weeks ago, and it works like a charm!

I used the SII when it first came out. If it's a good price, why not? I think it's still a good phone. but the s3 is already out. Is there a reason why you would prefer a S2 over a S3, other than the price?

Well the larger,HD screen, more development support, using the great sound chip (wolfson) and more future-proof
I guess I'll just wait for an sIII thanks guys

[Q] Help me chose an Android Version PLEASE!

I own a Samsung Galaxy SIII (Gt-I9300). I live in Romania. My phone is unbranded. Help me please choose an Android 4.1.1 version on which the battery lasts longer. THANKS!
It depends on how you utilise your phone....their are so many roms that offer exceptional battery life that its now come to a point where its entirely down to personal preference. I could sit here and say HyperGalaxy is the best but someone else could disagree....

Their is only one 4.1.1 Or do you mean what rom to use .
If so such posts are against XDA rules as their is no best no average user and twenty identical posts a day are a waste of time .
Read the stickies read the rom descriptions learn about why you are wasting battery via the battery threads .

Picking the best Rom that suits my need.

Hello guys i just wanna ask and get some more information about Roms available here. I love to install a Samsung with latest android version 4.3 or 4.4 i dont know. Best rom threads are not allowed at xda... you should try them yourself cause everyone has a different opinion about different things...
