I own a Samsung Galaxy SIII (Gt-I9300). I live in Romania. My phone is unbranded. Help me please choose an Android 4.1.1 version on which the battery lasts longer. THANKS!
It depends on how you utilise your phone....their are so many roms that offer exceptional battery life that its now come to a point where its entirely down to personal preference. I could sit here and say HyperGalaxy is the best but someone else could disagree....

Their is only one 4.1.1 Or do you mean what rom to use .
If so such posts are against XDA rules as their is no best no average user and twenty identical posts a day are a waste of time .
Read the stickies read the rom descriptions learn about why you are wasting battery via the battery threads .

Hey guys!
I'm using Galaxy ace with KPH , and now i would like to try some new rom. Then i choose these two rom for choice . Can someone tell me which rom is better ?
THX !!

Both are great. Why not just try both then decide later what's best suited for you?
I tried both and like Code Rom much more than UA, because of the battery usage. Tested UA for two days, and in this period I had to charge my phone three times, even though I don't use it almost at all.
It's almost a day from changing to Code Rom and battery usage is brilliant!
My vote goes to Code Rom I didn't like the first version at all, but the second one rocks!
for gods sake, thread like this make devs more annoyed. theres no point in this rom vs that rom thread. just install and decide for urself. geeeshhh
loyal to coderom. i use coderomv1, coderomnexus and now i am using coderomv2. this rom rocks!! ive tried other roms but in the end, i end up flashing back to coderomv2 i think this rom has battery and performance tweak..
It's better close this thread
i just want to know which one is better , i haven't think that this will make dev annoy , i fell sorry for that.....

Why close immediately, a meaningful comparison can be beneficial.
Exactly.
I don't know why any developer would mind a comparison of their ROM?
It's a chance to check the others, and find ideas for themselves.

Hey!
I understand you, that you want THE best one. But there isnt BEST one, they all are great. Just go to ROM THREADS and read, what ppl is saying and discussing about ROM-s. Then decide, what ROM is filling your needs. Try it and you see, dose it good for you, if not then you can leave the feedback in that ROM thread, what you think(feedback is good for DEV-s, then they see what can be improved and what not). I think its better way to see what ROM is fill you needs, because we all want something different, then others!
CHEERS!
I really don't see a problem with a bit comparison as competition brings forth innovation so sometimes a little pressure can be good, I develop apps for the iPhone and it doesn't get much worst on their forums but some good apps always gets delivered despite the constant comparison. Ace is a growing community tho so I understand the sensitivity of making such comparisons but I'm sure the intentions are good

can someone please tell me what is the best official samsung firmware regarding modem and kernel .im on a vodafone contract .
i made the mistake of being a newbie and not knowing at the time how to back up my firmware i got with the phone .
i have found that most custom roms i have tried dont compare to my original software i got with the phone as far as battery life goes .
thanks in advance for any replies
thank you
In my opionion CyanogenMods rom is better in every way then the costum samsung fireware. Because loads of bloatware is not hogging your battery.
But keep in mind that i am a root noob myself.
On topic:Try looking for Intratechs thread. I think links to the official samsung firmware are provided
If i was helpfull please hit the thank you button. Cost you nothing but a click.

looks like an iphone but powered by android baby!!!!
Keep the original, because you're a clueless noob. Clueless noobs don't need custom roms. Don't take offense, I'm trying to help you avoid further bad feelings like this.
Well i understand your point but clueless noobs will always stay clueless by following your advice. I cannot speak for op but i like to know a bit more about the phone i am holding in my hand.

Ok i'll read. Disregarding the fact that there are loads of contradicting text sources of information to be found on the net. I wont ask a question to confirm certain sources, because that is frowned upon.

Buddy i just joined and from what i have been reading through out the many threads here it is all down to choice. if i was you i do a little research and read peoples opinions from the threads..for example you are looking for a modem. Go the modem thread and see what people are saying...I know it is a bit to much to read but that is how you will gain knowledge and that will help you to tweak your phone to your choosing..Hope this helps
Not really bcause i agree with you. I am just saying dont flame a person for asking a question. Because in your opinion the awnser can be clear, but for the person reading it it probaply isn't hence the question.

Try out a couple roms yourself, damnit. We can't answer for what's best for you in terms of battery time.
Experience the rom yourself. Who knows, you may get 20 hours on screen time

This is a very subjective question. What's good for one person is all wrong for the next (I'm getting tired of saying this)

Hi and thanks in advance for any help received.
I have a galaxy ace 5839i which my daughter uses only for games. The battery life has become very poor and I belive it needs a new battery as the current battery is begining to bulge.
There are many to choose from on eBay for most variations of the galaxy ace from genuine Samsung or the gold high capacity type battery. But I cannot find a battery that specifically states it's for a 5839i.
So my question, Do all variants of the galaxy ace use the same battery or do I need to find one specifically for my phones model number?
e.g - If I buy a battery for a 5830 or 5830i will it fit my 5839i?

All batteries for galaxy ace are fit for any Ace version .
