I went to set a ringtone for the first time since flashing MeanROM 4.5 and it asked me to choose from where, "system, file explorer, etc" and I selected "file explorer" and checked the default box accidentally. Does anyone know where I can go to change this setting?

Go to your app management screen, go to the file manager and press "Clear Defaults".

In the email app is there a way to "select all" so I can select /delete all emails as opposed to selecting each one manually?

Can somebody confirm this feature is no longer availlable and that I'm not missing something?
Not seeing it on mine either, sorry.

I removed the stock gmail.apk and replaced it with an all black version and the select all is in my settings. Try loading an earlier version of gmail. It works fine me. Hope this helps

Yep I don't see the select all option either.

Hi.
From some rwason when I open a folder or preview my home screens a voice message plays the action I'm doing.
For instance if I open a folder I hear 'folder opened'.
How can I stop it?
I'm using S3 launcher and it wasn't like this yesterday.
Thanks

I did.
I even un-installed talkback with titanium but it's still playing voice commands when I open folders and such.
You seemed to have this problem with your new S3 launcher.
Try to change it to see if the problem remains.
I found out it has to do with Iphone notification app. When the app privileges are off, I don't have this issue.

Happy to see your problem solved
The old build.prop edit method for restoring the default app associations functionality that HTC nerfed doesn't seem to be working anymore.
Is anyone aware of a proper app associations fix so we can get that popup back instead of having to set up these defaults ahead of time?
Thanks.
I'm looking for the answer to this also

Go to setting ----> applications----> then open option (3 points in upper right corner) ----> then clear all app preferences.
Or if you went specific app to clear its association so go to this app in (setting/applications) then click on "clear all actions by default" in this app.
Thanks

Jeez... I almost spewed my tea when I read this. Reason: I had the same problem, and couldn't figure it out. I ended up disabling and reenabling apps in App Manager (it worked). Can't believe I was so stupid, LOL...
I just flashed AOKP, but the only way I can find a menu button is to enable the NavBar. Is there a way to make the recent apps short press be the menu button and make recent apps long press?

You need to edit the buttons in system/user/keylayout.
That pathway is not even close to what u need but if you search the thread you'll find the correct path

System/usr/keylayout/synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
Edit were it says APP-SWITCH to MENU save an reboot but you will lose the press and hold for recent apps
Also why you not give root box ROM a try it has all AOKP features plus the option you're looking for like in CM10 to remap these button
