In the email app is there a way to "select all" so I can select /delete all emails as opposed to selecting each one manually?

Can somebody confirm this feature is no longer availlable and that I'm not missing something?
Not seeing it on mine either, sorry.

I removed the stock gmail.apk and replaced it with an all black version and the select all is in my settings. Try loading an earlier version of gmail. It works fine me. Hope this helps
Locked & Loaded
Yep I don't see the select all option either.

Im having an issue deleting contacts from my phone. When i click on there profile it does not give me an edit button to delete. Do i have to delete them from gmail and fb also? I unlinked them from fb and deleted from google contacts and its still thete and not giving me an option to delete.
While viewing the contact, hit the menu soft key. It will bring up a few options, delete being one of them.

Does anyone know if the scribble system app is for the scribe pen or what it is for. Look under system applications and if you try to open it, it won't start.

Don't hold me to this, but I believe I saw that is the application that handles the screenshot option by pressing (and holding) the power button and then pressing the home button. I am not sure why it is called scribble, but I believe that is what it is for.
what he said. i asked this when i first got the phone and someone knew smart people here lol
Don't know about that but I use Go SMS and through that app I have the option of "drawing" whatever I want then sending it as a MMS message so when I saw scribble that's what first came to my mind. Maybe it utilizes it somehow?

I do not use Go SMS and scribble is still a running process on my phone. I can't speak to Go SMS using it, but I don't think that process would have anything to do with it. I think it is just for the screenshot option.

Thanks.

Open your regular mail app(NOT the gmail app, but make sure you are on your gmail account obviously), then click on the "menu" button, then click "settings", then click "general settings", and then you'll see a check box that says "make default account"
No luck. Clearing defaults button appeared to initially work until I tested it, no prompt for action, went straight to yahoo. Second option didn't work either, general settings for mail shows a greyed out checkmark for default app and does not allow me to uncheck it, no option for default in gmail.

Mine is set to "compose mail" under app associations. I dont use the gmail app so I didnt check the compose gmail option. The way I suggested earlier should have worked for you. Thats really weird. Did you do the same steps I listed for your other email accounts to make sure that one of them wasnt checked off as the default account?
Either way, as long as your problem is resolved its all good. Im just curious as to why the other way wouldnt work.

you must go into Settings Archive and Delete and selete option. if you have archive set(default) change it to delete or archive and delete.

The version listed in this thread - 4.5. Are you running 4.5? In the previous version I definitely had this option, but not in 4.5.

you only get the swipe to delete option if the "Archive and Delete" options is set to "show delete only"
ok i have done a TON of research but have yet to get the issue resolved. as we all know it has been well documented that the dna has issues with getting mms to work with an att sim card. hoiwever, i did speak with att and they said that my sim card COULD be the issue. something about it being a 3g card and the stream of #'s is not compatible?
think thats possible?
anyone else have any luck with changing the sim card out?
ill go out on a limb and ask if anyone has the correct apn or mms settings. i can get internet but the dreaded mms is a no go. i did manage to get ONE mms to come thrrough on my phone but i have a feeling it was a fluke. also that was multiple days and tries ago.
id hate to part with such an awesome device but i do need mms...
any help would be awesome!

i did download the gosms app. however, i couldnt find where to put the mms settings in. is there a how to for that? im willing to give it another go.
Here is how you get to the mms settings in go sms. Just get to the menu in the app and follow the pictures I have attached. Then fill in the correct apn settings and make sure they save and it should work. (I don't know the apn settings for AT&T but I'm sure if you Google it or search xda you can find it) I would reboot after you change them and then test it and see if it works. Hopefully it does.
Good luck
If I have helped you please press the thanks button.

Look for an onscreen menu button or if you have your soft keys set up to bring up a menu use that but there should be some settings or on screen menu somewhere.
