Yea I have that problem sometimes. What I found out myself was that if you play some music in phone mode without the lapdock connected, pause the music, connect the lapdock, and then play the music again it should sound correct.

It's best not to start the music app at all until you're fully connected to the lap dock.

Streaming HD video

Is there any type of hack or mod we can do that allows us to stream at least 720p content fluidly, I noticed a slight change from 2.2 to 2.3 just a tad bit more smooth,it just needs a little more,im starting to think its our lack or ram, seeing as we only have 404 instead of the 512...god damn Motorola
Sent from my DROID X2
Never have had issues with streaming HD material on youtube. Even on barebone stock froyo, probably the ****ty coding, doubt its the physical amount of RAM.
You are telling me that you can go to the desktop version of youtube on your Droid x2 and watch a video in 720p and it'll be completely fluid?
Sent from my DROID X2
Yup. I have yet to see an issue with the 720p streaming on my end.
What browser are you using? I have been going crazy ever since I got my phone trying to figure out why I can't
Sent from my DROID X2
Mine seems to always run like 5-10 frames too slow,im going mad!

I'm using Opera browser atm, but tbh I think it has more to do w/ 3G than anything.
I only try to do it with wifi, I just updated my flash,it seemed to do it,has never done it before
Sent from my DROID X2
I was going to ask whether you had the same issues streaming over wifi?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
I use dolphin HD and always use wifi, seams to work with 720p now,im happy!!
Sent from my DROID X2
I've streamed with wifi and have had no issues so far. 3G is a hit or miss sometimes it'll not be able to keep up with the video, sometimes it will. If I'm on 3G I generally use the app or if I'm patient, I let it load and just drag back to beginning w/o hitting replay.
Where the hell are you that your 3G can keep up with HD? Are you sure we are both using verizons 3G O.O

I'm in Arizona.
Im in jersey, probably why mine is so much slower, much more traffic out here
Sent from my DROID X2
What DL/UL speeds do you usually get?
Like 50-100KB/s uploads..forget about it lol

I can't watch any 1080p or 720p video- online or regular mp4 video from internal storage.
It goes like 4 fps. I looked in the atrix forum, and apparently the tegra 2 chipset likes only certain kinds of HD video (something to do with how the video is encoded).
Anything encoded with with a High profile will not play smoothly on the Tegra 2 chipsets.

I don't have first hand knowledge of why but have seen more than a few posts on various forums stating it's the chipset that's at fault.

Bluetooth

So, not that it's SUPER important. But I just got done dialing my system in my truck in. Put all the speakers in, sub, amps, head unit, etc etc. And I got a model with bluetooth. And I must say, it's legit. I can stream music via it from my phone, take calls and it'll mute the music so I can take the call. I recommend to anyone that drives and talks a lot to do this. It's not too much and it's very helpful and sounds decent too.
been doing that in my car for a couple years now... Love it. But for some reason my MoFo will drop the BT connection after playing music for about 20 mins. Well maybe drop the connection is the wrong thing to say, it is still connected, still get message notifications through the Headunit, but it stops streaming the music....
Are you using the stock music player?
Sent from my Photon via XDA
I have run into issues with the stock music player and google music/listen.

I have CarDock and BT DVD Player. Never had a single issue.

Happens with Stock, Mixing, nemo, and Player Pro... Normally when it happens i have to reboot either my phone or the car to get it to play again...
Hm that's weird. I haven't hit any issues either.

My issues seem to only be in wife's car with a newer jvc unit. I have an older eclipse unit and it works decent but no audio interupts
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Just put a jvc unit in my work car. Damn its sweet. Love being able to stream music without the aux cable.
Also mine has a bt remote so i cab skip tracks through Pandora or any of the other music apps without using the phone.
This and the unlimited Pandora apk is the best combo ever.

I have a Kenwood myself. But that's sweet.

Do you guys leave your bt enabled on your phones? Never really used anything Bluetooth except for my ps3 so i don't know how much it would affect battery life leaving it on.

I always have BT enabled. just to lazy to kill it I guess... I still get b=pretty decent battery life too.
Mine usually does okay. But I turn it off when not in use.

Yea I left mine on all day and didn't see any ill affects.

Is everyone having pretty good call quality on both ends? And what kinda set do you run? Stock? Just a head unit?
Sent from my Photon via XDA
Mine is a jvc kdr520 I got off Crutchfield. Call quality is great. I had my wife call me from the car and its all clear as it gets.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Jvc av794 i think. Works awesome. Names of songs pop up via bt through music app. Calls also work great. Car has a factory 9 speaker h/k otherwise
I also have an eclipse cd5030 and call quality sucks. But its been that way with all phones. I think the car is too loud and there is no echo cancellation sw.
Factory speakers otherwise. And a 10 inch sub.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Right on. I'm running four mids two tweets two amps and a sub. The amp is actually kinda handy for call volume.

Bluetooth Michael Not Picking Up With Assistant Type Apps

I can't seem to make my razr use the Bluetooths microphone when talking to personal assistant apps like vlingo or skyvi. The audio works great however, but I can't get it to stop using the phones mic. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure it only uses the Bluetooth mic for phone calls.

+1 for finding a way to change the mic. I would like to be able to use my Bluetooth mic for the voice typing in ICS. And having the assistant use it too would be nice. Plus I like the Google Voice search app MUCH better than the default Bluetooth voice actions app.

You'd think that with the multitude of talented devs we have here, and the benefits that would be had from all android devices, this issue could be resolved with a mod in no time. I'm willing to throw a donation a devs way for this.

Bluetooth in the car not working

After the ICS update I can no longer get my car to play music through BT on my Maxx.
After pairing to the car the phone and the car say no media. So I go to the config of BT on the phone and tell it manually to not allow phone or media. Then I add media only back and it no longer gives the errors for no media on the phone but still does on the car radio.
Nothing I have tried has gotten BT to play music in the car. Any ideas?!

Same here, works flawless in my Auris HSD. Even on custom Roms there's no problem.

Major bummer. Glad it is working for you guys at least. I have to figure this out. Might just have to reload the phone.

Mine has only half worked since I got it. My Droid Charge worked flawlessly and I attributed it to Bluetooth 3 with my Evo Look car system. Dunno for sure, though.

I tried with my reg Razr, OG Droid, SGS3, and Thunderbolt with no problems at all. Just the Maxx doesn't...

bluetooth headset that works with Google Now

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a bluetooth headset that integrates well with Google Now? I currently have a LG HBS700, but it will not work with Google Now.
Thanks!
Mike

Are you able to use all the GoogleNow functions, e.g. ask for directions, send a text message, etc? Did you have to tweak it at all to get it to work?
Thanks!
Mike
Jawbone.. they are pretty Much the best bt headset you can get. They have all the functionality you could need.

my blue ant T 1 seems to be working
My Motorola Sliver Elite only works while in-call or listening to media. No commands work at all.
Seems BlueAnt headsets work
None of my Motorola devices work. I use the MotoRKR T505 in my car. No voice commands, text messages don't read out. BlueAnt does have a mobile app to use with their devices.
I have actually used my Xbox 360 wireless headset. The one with Bluetooth and it works exceptionally well..

This is a pretty handy thread so I will add mine to the list.
Jawbone Prime - only works for calls. no commands.
darn! I have the original Jawbone and it's paired with my DNA. Ihaven't tried with calls yet but, it won't give any other audio? Music etc? Also not having luck with my RocketFish RF-MAB2
I don't think it is the headset. It appears to be an issue with the way bluetooth is implemented.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34348
I purchased a Jabra Extreme to replace my Jawbone Prime. Works just the same. The mic is not used for any voice input other than phonecalls.
I'm wondering if the people that say their headset works really did test with a voice-to-text app.
I have been using the BlueAnt Commute http://www.myblueant.com/products/speakerphones/commute/
It is working with reading the text messages but I cannot figure out how to voice call a contact. The instructions do not work on the DNA. Instead of searching the contacts, it searches the yellow pages and web for the name I provide.
