Hi guys. This only seems to happen on my Galaxy S3 and not on my Nexus 7 tab. But basically my phone keeps alerting me on certain emails over and over even if I've read them. The only way I can Pettit to stop is by deleting it and then deleting from the trash folder :S
Is this an Android thing or am I just being idiotic?

I want to use the samsung email client since well... i like the widget on the desktop. I don't see an option to PUSH in settings. The quickest I see is to check every 5 minutes. Did I not set up the email correctly or what is it?
I had a push option earlier when I first entered my gmail account info but had to delete it because the push was being random. Having readded the account there isnt a push option any longer.
Help?

Push email was available on the native S2 email client.
I vote for native apps first.
I tried the advice inside the android forum link, it works (gmail with exchange) but is sucks too much data in stand by.

Today i'm facing a problem with my Facebook app on my Android device, i can log in, i can see everything on my News Feed, i can see my Friend Requests & Inbox too(and open them), i see the list of my notifications but when i press on a notification, it do nothing.
I am the only one or no?
I'm using AOKP ICS 4.0.3 ROM.
You're not the only one. I was running tFC22v0.1.1 and flashed tFC18v0.1.1 but it didn't help.

Honestly facebook is the worst app for any platform. I am seriously concidering un installing it from every device i own, and just using the browser.

Hi, I have a galaxy s2. I tried to send compressed videos via email. Problem is they were still too large and now gmail app isn't working properly.
I have done some searching and it looks like my wifi is still trying to send the vids. There are a lot as I tried different compression methods and then resending. I have since deleted the emails which were all 'sending' but still have the problem.
Is there a way for me to get things back to normal? I can't delete the account without deleting all my phones user data as well and I would really like to avoid doing this if possible. Thanks for the help.

Have you tried rebooting? Or killing Email from an advanced task manager?

Maybe try to clear the Gmail data/cache in settings / applications / manage. .. / all
This will wipe all data and you'll have to setup the app again though.
You could also log in on the web and try delete the E-mail in the outbox .

Hi, thanks for the help. Turns out what was needed was a clear out of my out box, there was a draft of the files I mentioned in there and about 5 hours of leaving gmail alone. Everything started syncing properly after that. :-D

I found no issues with WhatsApp
don't know about security, but I use Line. it's the same as whatsapp but it's free. no need to pay $1.99 a year for server costs.

i was actually checking out what's so insecure aboit whatsapp and here's what I dug up:

while it is technically insecure, the condition that require a successful hacking of any whatsapp message requires the hacker to know alot about you as well as your phone. I doubt any hacker gives a damn about what lovey dovey messages you send to you significant other or your "Check this link out bro! fking hilarious video!" messages.
I personally stopped using whatsapp due to using Line which is free and visually nicer.

The problem with kik is that it is a massive battery drainer.. it causes a lot of alarm wakelocks.. its nice though

Every time I open the YouTube app, I have to sign in again if I want to access personalised content. This didn't used to be the case, so why is it now? Is anyone else having this trouble?

Nobody else having a similar issue? I'm also finding the notification sound on the stock sms app keeps getting reset to default. May or may not be related to the YouTube issue.

I'm also having this problem on my Sony Xperia S (Stock ICS).
It's a pain as each time I add something to a playlist I have to tap my only account I have on the phone.

This is an app issue, you can try contacting google about it and ask them to implement "Remember Me" feature in next update.

Google updated YouTube app today and fixed this issue.
