Please ask a q in Q&A thread and use the search button.
By the way:
- you must have unlocked bootloader to get in fastboot mod and flash custom kernel.

Use flashtool. Download kernel, be sure download completely. Run flashtool, choose fastboot mode. Connect your phone in fastboot mode (turn off, when USB plug hold volume up, led blink blue) Select kernel to flash.

Flash to CM7: Stuck at sending boot.img

Hello everyone.
I am just trying to flash my Xperia Mini Pro to CM7.
But when I am trying to send the "boot.img" it seems to get stuck.
this is my sonsole output:
Code:
E:\Programme\AndroidSDK\platform-tools>.\fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce flash boot boot.img
sending 'boot' (5272 KB)...
this already stayed for about 30min.
is it normal that it takes so long?
if not, what do I have to do to fix it?
Thanks,
McFarlane
It's just take around 2sec to flash.
Try flashing boot.img using flashtool

I followed the instructions of the wiki. Can I verify somehow that it is unlocked?
(I've just installed this flashtool. But how to flash with it? )
My guess is u havent unlock the bootloader yet.
Heres a good tool to do it the official way, which might void your warranty if u choose to do so.

I've used the program and it said, that the BL was already unlocked.
Open dialpad and type
*#*#7378423#*#*
Service info>configuration>rooting status.
What does it say there?

It says: "Bootloader unlocked: Yes"
Then u already have unlock bootloader. Try to reflash the kernel again.
Btw did u enter fastboot mode when u try to flash earlier?
Led should be blue in fastboot mode.

i tried flashing the boot.img at least ten times and it got stuck every time.
Try with the bootloader unlock tool. It can flash kernel too.

reflash your stock rom with Xperia Flashtool and try again. You can also try a different usb cable or computer also is the fastboot driver installed ? take a look under device manager.

I installed the fastboot driver during the flashtool installation.
The Device Manager shows it as Android ADB Device.
Also, to flash the Xperia in Flashtools, it excpects from me to hold down the back button while plugging in the cable.
Which is not possible because it is a touch button. So noothing happens -.-
Its volume down button for flash mode, not back button :/

Volume down button works for flash mode. But it fails with errors:
08/041/2012 23:41:42 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
I never excpected this update to be so difficult...
I've updated my old G1 to CM once and it took me 1h with reformatting the SD card using a HEX editor -.-
What is this miniCM7?
According to the description it is available for X8, X10 and X10 mini pro. So it won't work on my device either?

did u download CM7 from this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226715
or u download CM7 for x8?
flashtool support all 2011 device
check release note for detail
http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
I tried to follow the how to of the Cyanogenmod Wiki for my phone.
But flashing using their instructions doesn't work and anything the flashtool can do is not working either.
Its either failing or gets stuck without any response.
I am now downloading and trying the CM7 you have linked in your post.
Maybe this one will work...
Thats what I did now:
I downloaded the file you linked and extracted the boot.img
Then I connected my phone in Fastboot mode and tried to flash the kernel using the Flashtool - Fastboot Toolbox via the button "Select kernel to Flash".
Log output shows now: "09/016/2012 00:16:51 - INFO - Flashing selected kernel"
After that, nothing happens.
What do I do now?

Be more specific about this.
If you have not installed recovery you don't have recovery to enter.

U can reboot into fastboot mode using flashtool. After installing flashtool you have to find out an option calling "fastboot via adb".just click this option.and the phone automatically reboot into fastboot mode.but u have to install all usb driver for ur device.

My silly mistake when i wanna flash my first kernel was pressing my volume down button on my lww instead of volume up..
So if youre using lww, then volume up is for fastboot mode and volume down is for flashmode.

Suave is a custom Kernel.. It won't work on locked phones.
And no such method of converting an img file to ftf or sin is known and hence locked bl users are denied access to custom kernels and roms bootable on custom kernels for eg. JB roms
You'll have to unlock bl for flashing that kernel

Did your phone's LED lights blue when you connect into fastboot mode?
Or in another case, the windows not recognize your phone in fastboot mode?

I had same problem with my old pc (win xp sp1) what you have to do is when you connect in fastboot mode, you ll get a new hardware detected box poped up on ur pc. Select the second option there (i dont remember option since I faced those prob month back) after chosing 2nd option chose install driver from a specific location (something like that, even that is second option) and chose sony adb interface click apply and click ok.
Now your fastboot should work

I'm sorry but as far as I know it's not. No reboot option or anything and other keys are not working. I'm sorry
But you could flash a custom kernel, boot in cwm, flash the stock rom in cwm and boot it. You're stock then
Well flashmode won't be possible, but you could always reboot to recovery via adb.
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Cheers,
AJ
Ya figured it out i Can Use walkman key to go to recovery.
