[HELP] Xperia Ray DON'T TURN ON - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello,
My xperia ray cannot turn on.I cannot understand what happened.
My PC can recognize it , I have unlocked the bootloader and flash ICS firmware with FlashTool after it was dead. I can enter to fastboot mode but I don't know how to enter adb.
I think that some contacts inside the phone may not work , but I cannot figure out if it works and simply doesnot show anything or if it is dead.
I would like to give me some advices about what i can do .
Thanks you for your time.
P.S. I have no warranty.

Please give more details. Like is there any boot animation? Or can you enter recovery?

Are you sure that you have ICS kernel ???

OK. It doesn't show anything no bootimage no signs that it works.
The kernel must be ICS because I flashed it with success according to a guide I followed.
I think that the screen has been broken because when I press the power button and plug it in the pc , I wait for about 2min and the pc recognizes it as XPERIA Ray phone.
I need to know how to test if it works but does not show it on the screen or if i can do something to bring it back to 'life'.

If the PC can recognize it so you can flash firmware using flashtool and bring it back to life ..
download and flashtool "you can find it in a sticky thread here"
download original ftf file "you can find it also in another a sticky thread here"
put the ftf file in c:\flashtool\firmware
Run flashtool and then .. click flash button .. choose flashmode ..
choose the ftf file .. leave options as it is .. and click OK
wait until the flashtool extract the files and ask you to connect your phone..
make sure that your phone is charged and switched off
press and hold the volume down key and connect the usb .. happy flashing

I'm no expert in this section........ but I want you all to understand clearly( I didn't mean that Willey1986's guide not clear)
But for some new members, hard to understand that
First download FTF bundle & Recovery image from below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192152
download Xrecovery 0.3GBready.zip from following link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571
here step by step,
1/-Flash 2.1 update1 stock rom with the lastest flash tool.......
2/-After that root your x10 with super one click
3/-After that install busy box.... then install Xrecovery 0.3(not GBready)
4/-Backup your current rom using xrecovery ,,,,, reboot
5/-Extract prerooted zip to your pc desktop , you will see one folder
6/-Then connect your phone with pc and mount sd card
open your memory card/xrecovery/backup/your backup date(folder)
7/-You will need to delete your backup date(folder) and replace with prerooted
folder
8/-Copy and paste Xrecovery 0.3 GB ready.zip to your sd card
9/-Then disconnect with pc and your phone and switch off your phone
10/-Boot up your phone with xrecovery and restore your backup folder
11/-And flash Xrecovery 0.3 GB ready.zip
12/-If finished, don't reboot your phone
13/-Take out your battery and flash FTF bundle (Extracted ftf file) with flash
tool
14/-Now start your x10i and ENJOY
THIS IS NOT MY ROM ,,,,,, I JUST SHOW HOW I DID
THANK YOU ALL.............
For point 2 and
3 you can do it with flashtool

Enter flashmode for flashtool
Hey....i don't think you need to switch it to MSC mode for flashing.... did you try to enter flashmode by holding "Volume down" button while inserting the USB cable into the phone ? Are you trying to flash it via Flashtool ( it is the easiest way ) ?

Yes, I tried to flash it with flashtool, but it won't recognize the phone, holding volume down while inserting usb, and the mini led light up orange, so... what else can I do? .. thanks
Did You switch the phone off before that?
Procedure is:
1) Switch off the phone (remove battery if needed)
2) Press "volume down" and hold
3) Put he USB cable in.
Do You see driver installation dialog running in windows? wait until it finishes.
4) Start the flashtool
5) Flash the ROM.
Yes, I did exactly the same, but it doesn't install the drivers

Then You need to install either Sony PC companion or form the Sony develeoper site the proper drivers.
Sony PC Companion You find here
Pc companion will install all the SE xperia drivers You need.

You have drivers in Flashtool folder under : \flashtool\drivers install them , and accept all of the installation requests by Windows . Or install official drivers from Sony or from Google's SDK source .
:Flash a new kernel via FASTBOOT and install a rom or reflash the firmware with wotan client that worked for me

when you plug in your usb while holding volume down key the led should be green not orange.
green led means the phone is in flashmode.

hi this not help ,any idea?
This may help you 90%... just try it
I also have bricked up my Xperia Neo V
I tried many tools but no one helped.....
Finally I got back my bricked phone back by doing following things....
download all the needed things you need to update phone with wotan X tool unlock, you will need
1. X_Unlock_Tool_Setup_Wotan
2. WotanClient
3. USBFlashDriver
you can get all these from wotan website.
also create an account on wotan website. NO NEED TO BUY ANY CREDITS
install all above mentioned tools.
then run X UNLOCK TOOL
then follow on screen instructions untill you get an error that you don't have sufficient credits.
NOTE THAT NOW YOUR PHONE HAS GOT A SIM LOCK CERTIFICATE FROM THIS TOOL. BUT THE POSITIVE ASPECT IS THAT YOU CAN NOW FLASH ANY ftf FILE USING FLASH TOOL. SIM LOCK WILL BE REMOVED AFTER THE WHOLE PROCESS.
now flash the desired firmware on your phone.
power up your phone
if it power ups successfully, then your phone will not detect your SIM card.
finally use S1 tool to remove SIM LOCK CERTIFICATE.
CLICK THANKS IF IT WORKS
BEST OF LUCK

I am also trying to figure how to flash a kernel but every kernel that I download comes in an *.img format but FLASH TOOLs require FTF file to flash the kernel.. how can I do it?

No. No and No again Internet not required. Connect phone only when prompted. Mode required is Flashmode and I've shown below how to get to Flash Mode ( you need your phone turned off btw)
Ill quickly summarize
1) Start Flashtool
2) Click the Lightning icon then select your FTF
3) Exclude baseband if your device is STxxi and the firmware is for STxxa or viceversa
4) Press ok and start Flash. Then, after a minute or so, Flashtool will ask you to connect the device.
5) Turn off the phone. Connect the usb cable to the PC (not connected to Phone yet)
6) Holding down the "Volume Down" key, you connect the cable to your phone.
7) Give it a few seconds and a Green Light shows up. Then, flashing starts on Flashtool
8) Once flashtool starts flashing, you can stop holding down the Volume Key
9) Wait for the process to finish then unplugh the phone and turn it on
This should be clear enough. If you still have doubts, just reply here

[Q] [Help Needed]: Soft Bricked my Xperia u during flash to cm10

Hello Experts,
I was trying to upgrade my xperia u to jelly bean via cm10. This is my first attempt on this and i hope i have bricked it.
This is the current status of my phone:
Phone Not Booting ! When i press power button, only vibrates once and never boots up.
Followed few older threads on this and tried with flashtool, phone connects in flash mode but flashing any ftf never succeeds. Error flashing. aborted everytime.
The last step i did before the phone went dead was : fastboot flash boot boot.img with FXP236-cm-10-20130910-UNOFFICIAL-urushi build.
The phone is rooted/bootloader unlocked(followed the steps from sony site)/Clockwordmod installed
This is the page which tempted me to go for the upgrade : androidlegend's "Update Xperia U ST25i to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean via Cyanogenmod 10"
Please please help me on this.

I asked specific question for a reason, so please answer it.
Also if you have used PC Companion with your phone before there is no need for it to recogniise it or even be connected to begin repair.
And Xperia U is definately showing in SUS but you cannot use it because it would not even begin downloading for unlocked bootloader.

wierdly, once i saw my phone getting detected by sony pc companion saying Your sony xperia u (st25i) is connected but before i click that it got disconnected again.

PC Companion won't flash unlocked bootloader, but you have the files now, follow the guids to buil your own FTF and try flash it with flashtool.

Just curious won't it download the files once after the device gets connected ? that's what i could see from the pictures in the guides to prepare ftf from sony update service. Where the files would be in case of a pc companion

Take out the baterry for few minutes and put it back in, open flashtool, and while it is open, hold the volume down key and connect to the USB cable. leave it connected for a minute, then copy the log and post it or save the log and attach the log file to your next post.
When you repaired with PC Companion did it ask you to power off the phone and connect it while holding the colume down ket?
Copy the next line: C:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs
Click the windows button, psate it and press enter, does a window open with 3-4 files beginning with "FILE_" near the top of the list?

Open flash tool hit the lightning icon browse your PC and find the location of the ftf
Load it up.
Turn your phone off hold the volume button down, plug in USB flashtool will do the work, it takes like 10-15 mins so don't mess with it.
Make sure you get the right one.

Sombody please help me..... Flashtool does not have the firmware files. Ive downloaded ftf files but cant move them to firmware because firmware folder is not there!!!!!!!
Update. (as if som1 is paying attention)......
I finally got it restored. Flashtool DOES NOT HAVE A FIRMWARE FOLDER. So have no idea how one wud go about putting a ftf file in a firmware folder.
I was able to unzip scrubbers port and flash recovery img. Or boot.img. Then restore previous backup. Thanx to uhhhhhh,no one...outdated info kinda led me down the right path.
1. Flashtool does have a firmware folder.
2. Why are you flashing a ROM? Just flash a kernel with recovery and re-flash Scrubber's 5.1 in recovery.
