I have found this post with a lot of differents RUU for my EVO 3D Gsm
but i don't know wich one to chose...
Can you tell me the right one
(i know i didn't give any info about my phone, it's because i don't know what's important to chose, just ask me)

First of all was your phone branded or unbranded? if branded then what carrier.
If unbranded you can just use the Europian RUU
Do you want ICS or GB ruu?
And what is your current radio version
Having problems myself which is weird.

If I remember right, error 155 means you need to lock your bootloader first before running the ruu.

Interesting. I've given that advice to others and it worked for them. This was the source I used, maybe try what it says anyway just to make sure:

It basically says to make sure you are in fastboot (the bootloader will say fastboot USB) first before running the ruu.exe.
Also, from a Google search, others have said to make sure you have the right ruu for your phone and carrier.

got it sorted. RUU installed 100% . battery knackered now but Ill give it a bit of a charge. Thank you so much.

my phone is unbranded, Radio-11.25.3504.06_M
and ICS RUU will be great

Ok had the Flyer for two days now and wanting to root the device and go S-OFF.
Downloaded the files needed and started up Rev.
here is the screen i get while attempting to run Revolutionary..(see attachment)
any ideas about this? i looked through all the pages on the site that i could find and never found the mention of this HBOOT Version.

That's really strange it thinks you are using a view? I would try to re-download revolutionary and run it again.

Are you sure you read the instructions for s-off?

These are the devices and HBOOT versions supported
HTC View (express) 1.09.0000 and 1.13.0000
HTC Flyer (flyer) 1.10.0000 and 1.11.0003

which means your hboot is not supported and you can´t s-off

Was this ever resolved? Any chance the hboot is funny because this is a cdma us cellular flyer? I noticed htc never pused honeycomb to it according to their webpage...is this a rare unsupported flyer by either the devs and carriers?

Anyone able to help as well? I have the same screen as the OP because I am using a HTC Flyer 3G from US Cellular.
I don't understand the post about it being a View... they advertise it as a Flyer and the box says Flyer. Trying to put something decent on this tablet because it is very slow and outdated. I would like to put a custom ROM on it at some point if anything decent is available. At the least I would like root so I can use Titanium Backup and Sixaxis controls to play some games on it.
When I got it, it came with the software that is on it. I couldn't find a RUU that is stock Gingerbread that has the correct HBoot for Revolutionary S-OFF.
Please someone point me in the right direction!

Hi I hope you sorted this by now.
Don't worry about the packaging saying it is a Flyer. It is not. The "EXPRESS" model identifier means it is a View as Globatron has pointed out.
So you need to follow procedures for that.
The easiest way to tell if its a view is if its grey/black. Flyer is white. Im sure the casing is probably interchangeable but since it came from a carrier..
Does anybody have found the ability to get S-OFF, ROOT for these devices ?

Hie, i hard bricked my HTC Evo View and am looking for Hboot to try and flash, it is no longer switching on but still recognised by pc.
it had been rooted and was using revolutionary hboot as follows

i followed the steps on Htcdev and got the bootloader unlocked and the other steps to get my device rooted and finally installed the CWM recovery but however
i still have S-ON??
did i miss something? i have the Rogers version of the HTC Jetstream

Nope, you did it all the way it should be done. We don't have S-off but we do have permanent root.

I recently bought my htc amaze in india factory unlocked asian version. when ever i try to update my phone it keeps on saying your phone is upto to update available. then did some research n unlocked bootloader using htc dev and then tried to s-off using jounoutor beer. but still i cant s-off my phone n i m stuck on gingerbread please help me to s-off n update to ics.
my bootloader says. ruby pvt ship s-on rl

emmc-boot
There's nothin anyone can do to help you s-off. You need to just keep trying until you get it

Well try flashing the tmobile GB Rom you MITE get the updates but no guarantee that it'll work cuz I got the update when I was still S-ON but I never tried the update so mostly the only way is to follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167596 good luck

First off, you need to be S-OFF, there's tons of guides on the wire trick and such. http://unlimited.io/juopunutbear.htm is what I used and took me about an hour to do. Youtube also has some helpful stuff in regards to the wire trick.

I've got O2 branding on my HTC One X+ and I'm trying to swap RUU to RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed and I've got ERROR[131]: CUSTOMER ID ERROR. I did 1st step from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066390 and I've got unlocked bootloader and SuperSU and then I did 3rd step. Then I've got problem with ERROR. Can You Help me ??

You need S-Off / SuperCID in order to switch RUU and this is not possible yet. If you want a clean stock Rom, try Android Revolution HD.

it's the wrong RUU you don't need HTC_Europe there's a specific o2 one but it might not work as your HBOOT version is too high...my device is the o2 one and that RUU won't work....but that's info for you for next time

Yes, you will have to wait S-Off (as I can see you want to install stock ROM). Unfortunately it may take some time / never happen .
Alternately an RUU which supports 1.40....
You mite have to contact HTC it 02 and see if they will give you the stock files its rare but it could happens
