I recently bought my htc amaze in india factory unlocked asian version. when ever i try to update my phone it keeps on saying your phone is upto to update available. then did some research n unlocked bootloader using htc dev and then tried to s-off using jounoutor beer. but still i cant s-off my phone n i m stuck on gingerbread please help me to s-off n update to ics.
my bootloader says. ruby pvt ship s-on rl
hboot- 1.92.0000
emmc-boot
There's nothin anyone can do to help you s-off. You need to just keep trying until you get it

Well try flashing the tmobile GB Rom you MITE get the updates but no guarantee that it'll work cuz I got the update when I was still S-ON but I never tried the update so mostly the only way is to follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167596 good luck

i followed the steps on Htcdev and got the bootloader unlocked and the other steps to get my device rooted and finally installed the CWM recovery but however
i still have S-ON??
did i miss something? i have the Rogers version of the HTC Jetstream

Nope, you did it all the way it should be done. We don't have S-off but we do have permanent root.

CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY 5.02.6
I also have Hasoon2000 all in one kit if that will help me?
I keep getting asked to install the ota update to ICS but it stops at the android with triangle and exclamation
I would like to upgrade the ICS if possible but not sure what to do from here. I tried to put PH85IMG_Ruby_TMOUS_1.43.531.3_Radio_1.08.550L.19DC_30.66.550L.08D_release_228638_signed on my sd card root and renamed to PH85IMG.zip but when I tried to run it failed.
I thought that would return to stock ? How would I get s-off if that's what I need to do? Just need some direction on my choices here.

First of all was your phone branded or unbranded? if branded then what carrier.
If unbranded you can just use the Europian RUU
Do you want ICS or GB ruu?
And what is your current radio version

If I remember right, error 155 means you need to lock your bootloader first before running the ruu.

Interesting. I've given that advice to others and it worked for them. This was the source I used, maybe try what it says anyway just to make sure:

It basically says to make sure you are in fastboot (the bootloader will say fastboot USB) first before running the ruu.exe.
Also, from a Google search, others have said to make sure you have the right ruu for your phone and carrier.

my phone is unbranded, Radio-11.25.3504.06_M
and ICS RUU will be great
I've got O2 branding on my HTC One X+ and I'm trying to swap RUU to RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed and I've got ERROR[131]: CUSTOMER ID ERROR. I did 1st step from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066390 and I've got unlocked bootloader and SuperSU and then I did 3rd step. Then I've got problem with ERROR. Can You Help me ??

You need S-Off / SuperCID in order to switch RUU and this is not possible yet. If you want a clean stock Rom, try Android Revolution HD.

it's the wrong RUU you don't need HTC_Europe there's a specific o2 one but it might not work as your HBOOT version is too high...my device is the o2 one and that RUU won't work....but that's info for you for next time

Yes, you will have to wait S-Off (as I can see you want to install stock ROM). Unfortunately it may take some time / never happen .
Alternately an RUU which supports 1.40....
You mite have to contact HTC it 02 and see if they will give you the stock files its rare but it could happens

Hello, guys. Just bought an HOX+. Was lucky to get an S-OFF handset. Also, when I first powered on the device, it said "It's a test device."
On the bootloader, it shows.

Etc...
I want to root the phone and get the latest recovery. Also want to upgrade the HBOOT if available. Also, as per my understanding, I can flash any ROM I like.
My Android version shows it's 4.1.1. When I check for Software Update, it says there is no update available.
Please help me with the above things. I know I am supposed to search on the forum, but I am on my handset right now and I don't have an access to any PC for another week. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the HTC One X+ dont have S-OFF yet....and the rumrunner doesn't support it....
but I heard there are some paid services available....
