Guys
Is there a suitable voice dialer available for XdaII?
I was advised to look at "Voice Dialer 2.1" but couldn't find it.
Any help would be appreciated

voice dialer
There is a newer version of the software that can controll the fone via voice recog, as well as call contacts, which looks quite cool.

After buying Fonix Voice Dial, it was ok for a bit since it was the best one available at the time, but after trying the Microsoft VoiceCommand for a bit, it proved to be way better than the Fonix since it was more tolerant to noice and had more functions than just voice dialing.
I use VITO voicedialer PE 3.0 and it works great for me!!!
I have tried Microsoft Voice command and Fonix Voice Dial, but neither worked good for me. In VITO voicedialer you add your voice to the contacts you want to be able to call. The reliability is high, even in noisy conditions.

Does anybody know of a good rom that supports Voice Dialing and Search? I am currently using Energy Rom and it does not support Voice Dialing or Voice search. On T-mobile stock rom, you can assign the send key to Voice Search and Dial. Is there a non-oem rom that supports this feature?
Thanks for your input.

I'm pretty sure this feature is only enabled for android phones, and as far as I know has never existed for winmo. If you want this feature simply put android on you hd2.
For sure, latest Artemis V42 ROM (based on new 3.14 HTC ROM) supports Voice Dial via Cyberon Voice Speed Dial.
I've tested this on my HD2 with my old Motorola H605 bluetooth Headset.
I'm able to start voice recognition with headset button and speak through headset microphone the name of the contact to dial or the application I want to start.
Moreover all system sounds (also MP3 music or IGO8 voice) are routed to headset.
In this case the sound quality is low (H605 is not an AD2P device) but it can be recognized very well.

I have sideloaded Google Voice search and it works great with searches.
However, when I try to use voice input from the keyboard (Smart Keyboard Pro), all that comes up is a microphone with a slash through it, obviously indicating that the keyboard doesn't have access to the microphone.
Any ideas?
Swype incorporates dragon dictation which *may* at one time have been better than Google's own voice dictation features, but not today!
As most of us now running the ICS variants on the Amaze know, Google's built-in voice dictation is incredible. I know when using Swype you can pull down the notification tray and select "Google Voice Typing", but it's not as convenient as pressing the mic button on the swype keyboard.
Anyway know of a hack to have Swype's built-in mic button launch Google Voice Typing instead of Swype's own dragon dictation?
Massiv.
Swype with Google voice typing
I agree, need to swap out Dragon for Google's voice dictation within the Swype app. Swype is great + Google voice dictation = great droid typing
hi guys!
how to install the voice dictation for messages?
